Earlier it at least often took 2 minutes before they noticed a hostile in local and safespotted/logged (which can be enough to get them).
But now they can have their local blink and make them notice me instantly.

The feature is being removed in next patch.
Good to see the responces here, and the fast reaction.
Thread has done it's purpose, a mod can as well lock it now.

I never thought of the blinking part of it...
Now lets just make sure Oveur sees this, this needs a fix or this is turning even more into a game where you don't fight unless you really want to.

So THAT is what that was. I couldn't figure it out. Weird.
Local is already unrealistic enough, without making it even easier for people to detect hostile ships.

yeah i can run local minimised now that shouldnt be right.. its bad enough u see people on local already.

It can be disabled. But yeah I agree, it's nice on most channels, but it shouldn't be availalbe on local.

Get rid of it.
Does anyone know why they implemented it? Was it supposed to "fix" something? And before someone says "you can turn it off", understand thats not the problem here.
