Agreed, it is a very nice feature for corp and convo's but in the local channel all it's going to do is create a constant blinky line for me (in empire) in 0.0 I'm usually watching local anyway.

This was brought up a long time ago by darth solo, a way to see your enemies in local without having to show info on evry sngle indavidual in local.
Now we have it and ya'll complain.
Make up your minds.
btw, i love it, show info was too slow to be of much use, this is much better.

TBH local shouldn't show any names, just text if you send broadcast, like it would be for real if you broadcast something over the spacewaves (or whatever) ppl can hear you but they don't just "automatically" know you are in the system.
Take out the portraits from local and for God's sake please take out the enter/exit notification.

And what do you do when local is filled with 20 or 30 people? Your not oging to notice anyone join unless you have the local window maximized to full screen. This way you can see who joins. STOP CRYING.
KEEP THIS FEATURE.
And if you want to sneak attack use cloaking devices.

Agreed... This really is taking the ****. I just feel sorry for the well known pirates who have a hard enough time creeping into local and now they are gonna be announced... Fair enough you will get alot of whining posts on the forums from pirates but this is just the final kick in the teeth when your rolling on the ground. Sort it out ffs!!

Agreed... This really is taking the ****. I just feel sorry for the well known pirates who have a hard enough time creeping into local and now they are gonna be announced... Fair enough you will get alot of whining posts on the forums from pirates but this is just the final kick in the teeth when your rolling on the ground. Sort it out ffs!!

I always wondered when they would implement a feature like this. With the way that local works it actually makes sense. Same thing as having your first mate come say "enemy has entered local sir".
However I would have to say that it shouldn't be based on one's sec status.
It should be based on whom the individual has bothered to set negative security to. The free warning is a bit excessive.

1 question CCP: Why donŠt you guys follow your original and good idea to have empire safe and 0.0 totally unsafe to get economic players AND pvp-players (double cash, you know $$$+$$$) this way? How about to stop nerfing destrcution??? Pvp-players love destruction and pay $$$ for destruction.

Agreed. There are people that "always" log or safespot within a minute after I enter local. Sure, I get ****ed, but it takes a big effort from them to watch their back like that, so all fair. The list in local and the map is fine the way they are.
