I KNEW about price scamming. I AVOIDED it at least 200x before, but I got my ass ripped for 27M on a Control Reactor I. That was 95% of my bankroll.
This is ANOTHER warning to CCP from people like me who lose 95% of their bankroll on unnecssary mistakes will eventually leave the game due to so much lost time/effort.
THE !@#$%^ MARKET SHOULD NOT BE LIKE 0.0 SPACE! Actually its worse, because you could lose BILLIONS in a matter of seconds.
And don't give me any **** about this being a "real world" situation because in the real world I could take this ***** to court and sue him. In this game I have ZERO recourse.
Well, it took me weeks to earn that ISK. CCP allows it, so I guess I will go into the scamming busines to recover from it and see how many other paying customers I can **** off.

I got scammed for 62 mil isk :( I was sooo mad and kinda lost interest in this game but im slowly working my way up again. :/

Yeah they do! I only scam for less them 5mil though at a time as to not bankrupt people  But you make money in numbers and so far its worked!!

I really don't understand how people manage to get scammed. Don't you check the items before you buy them?

sorry to hear that happen to you escrow does need some work done to it. and as their is no way for player justice as they they use alt it needs to be clean up. oh if you need a bit of help to get you back on your feed eve-mail me and I'll see what I acn do.

honestly. i think being able to scam people adds depth to the game.
i spent 2 months making newb mistakes. spent a ton of money on items i thought did something else, bought duplicate skills, etc etc etc.
this is one of those few (awesome) games where a small mistake can really screw you up.. i love it

scam is part of the game... Even in real life u get scammed, you just have to be careful

What I used to do is keep my excess isk in my hanger, but CCP decided that this was an issue and you can't do that anymore. SOOOOOO Now I give my excess isk to an alt character. In my main wallet I keep only what I need (less than 500K).
This will save you a lot of future heartache when you find out that a shuttle has an extra zero  (Or three) in the price, and you do not have the isk for the inflated price.

The thing with scammers is that there is no recourse. If something like this happened irl you would go to the police and say hey I've been scammed, and the police would then look for the scammer and wtfpwn him.
This needs to happen.
The easiest way to cut out most of the scams though would be that the item name goes into the description box. I know that would cause some issues when placing multiple items into escrow, but it would make it impossible to name a shuttle a battleship and hope someone is dumb enough to trust.
CCP should not be supporting fraud from player to player. They should be making it as difficult as possible in fact. So please CCP DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!! It's getting really really old when half the stuff on the escrow market are scams named as other items.
I know you can inspect them, and double check and triple check the numbers before pressing the ok button, but this is just asking for a situation whereby you lose customers. One scam can ruin someone, and when they figure out that there is nothing to be done, and that you guys actually approve of things like this they often just say the hell with it and leave.
