Recently, some of our players have experienced performance issues in EVE. As this impaired the player experience and enjoyment of those affected, we consider these issues to be critical. To make sure the weekend is as enjoyable as possible for all players, we went into overdrive and are deploying a patch this Saturday, 22 November. The patch will require an extended downtime starting at 11:00 GMT and we expect to be back up at 13:00 GMT. During this downtime a portion of EVE Online: Quantum Rise 1.0.1 will be deployed and patch notes are available for your perusal.
This patch contains the performance fixes from the originally planned 1.0.1 patch. We will continue to work on other issues that have been found and will deploy those in an upcoming patch which will be released within the next two weeks. |

Glad to sdee that the mail changes that were brought up in a previous dev blog are not as yet going through.
I would also like to thank the upgrade crew for coming in on a Saturday to make the game that much smoother.

This patch only contains performance fixes from the originally planned 1.0.1 patch. Other changes will be released later/soon as 1.0.2. |

I knew it was a memory leak, every time I warped back into a loaded grid, it would get slower and slower. GJ CCP, the test server yesterday seemed MUCH better.

Quote: Fixed performance issues that would occur when loading a scene when running 2 or more clients at the same time, such as when docking.
Is this that bug where sometimes, you get a white background on one client, and both stutter at 3-4 frames per second? ------------------------------------------

I really hope the memory leak is handled correctly. I have filed a bug report with a screen shot of my Task Manager. It showed that exefile.exe was using nearly 1.5 GB of RAM (Classic Windowed). This was only with a Classic client after 1 hour of play. I have yet to use Premium because of these gross oversights with memory management in the client.
Slightly off topic: Will CCP ever offer a native 64-bit client for those that run 64-bit OS systems? This would require them to be more aggressive with their memory management. I would hate to watch a 64-bit version using 4GB or more because of a "kitchen sink" memory leak.

Can we get some comment about the apparent lack of damage on some DDD activations. Is this feature working as intended or a bug?

Same question was asked when they announced the change to 64bit server software. Dev response was that the client has a lot of third party 32bit tech holding the client back.

If you are referring to corporation standings not updating correctly then I can confirm that has already been resolved. It was hotfixed a few days ago and all corp standings should now be updating correctly.
Note however that the calculations for corp standings were changed in Quantum Rise. |

And of course, you'll be extending by 11 days the accounts of those of us who haven't been able to play due to these performance issues?
QA is expensive, but mass refunds are *more* expensive. Bear this in mind for the next expansion.

Any intent to solve with 1.0.1 these very frequent disconnections some of us are experiencing since QR? |
