WTF is with the 15 minute aggression timer? HE FIRED ON ME 1st!

BAM I have a 15 minute aggression timer, and he got me warp scrambled all of a sudden. So, I can't warp out, and every time I try docking it says some crap about aggression. WHAT?! I have a 2.0 POSITIVE security RATING, he has like -8.0 or something, he fired on me FIRST, I fired BACK! WHY AM I THE ONE WITH THE AGGRESSION TIMER? To make things worse I lagged out and this resulted in me losing my Nighthawk (expensive tech 2 battlecruiser) that was very well fitted with various tech 2 modules. Is there anything that can be done? Update: Turns out I was pod killed while lagging out, so there goes the high level implants too. Caldari Nationalist Party

If you give them good logical reason for change, they will listen. Nothing saying they'll change it, but they will listen if you are polite. Almost all replies will be either straight flames or variations of "Don't undock unless you can afford to loose it." or "know the rules of the land" before playing. The fact that you're in a Commandship, in lowsec/0.0 and you don't know about the agression timers tells me you've either been carebearing it up in empire since you started playing eve, or you're VERY new to the game and bought your account. either way, learn the rules of lowsec/0.0 BEFORE you go there.

Yup, I've mostly been running missions, hence the high Caldari State and Caldari Navy standings. I'd LIKE to get into PvP, but... I mostly fly solo, and I don't want to join an alliance/corp that has a strict "attendance policy" and no clear and logical mission statement of any sort. A good mission statement would be "kill any non Caldari for any reason whatsoever" for example. Caldari Nationalist Party

Already on that ****. likely a petition is going to get you no were seeing as you fired on them the aggression timer is not a bug or exploit / cheat you just need to know the rules of the game before you try to play with expensive ships. IE don't buy your account even care bear's knows of the aggression timer.

I expected to be able to re-dock at a corporate facility belonging to the Caldari State (which I have a high faction standing with), especially considering that they were obviously pirates (-8 to -10 sec rating), and I was obviously not a pirate (+2 to sec rating). A red aggression timer, where you get concord'd in high sec, and shot at by sentry in lowsec, red flashy, everyone can shoot w/o losing sec status etc. etc. 15min aggression timer: you get this everytime you shoot at something, whether it be another player or an npc in missions, it's always there, it simply means the ppl listed there can fire back at you w/o incurring any sec status loss or concord/sentry response. 30sec timer: invisible, it's just that for 30 seconds after you or your drone fires on anyone and anything, you cannot dock or use a stargate, that's all.

Aggression has nothing to do with your security status. You can be +5 or -10 if you aggress another player you have to wait 1 minute before you can dock or jump. The aggression timer showed on screen because the person you fired back on can shoot you for 15min without any punishment, more or less anyway odds are he already has sentry aggro anyway. Read up in the knowledge base about it. Anyways, the best way to learn is to learn the hard way.
