The mammy looks more like a warship than the phoon. The phoon has that huge gaping hole up front, it would be great for stuffing in cargo.

The Mammoth is a battleship. Thats clear for all to see regardless of its stats.
What is the Typhoon then? That ship is clearly a dedicated mining industrial. A huge maw for enveloping and processing asteroids.

Well the Mammoth could be scaled larger.
I can just imagine it with 4 prop. weapons and 4 missiles launcher...boom!
It is doubtfull ccp will ever change it, but it would be great at the very least to have more choices for BS's.

VOTE FIFTY ******* BILLION TIMES IF I COULD!!! ok so i new the mammoth was an indy (was dreaming bout this game for a few months before i got the job so i looked at the site alot ;p) but i have thought that it should be a bs eversince i got it (still do now) props to the guy starting this post... never thought of it... should have... if ccp goes through with this >< I WILL um uh... MAKE U MY BEST FRIEND!! ;p >< i think it should become a bit bigger in size though. i think the typhoon does look good in its own special way.... im all for giving the minmat a 3rd bs... not gonna happen but willing to even replace my loved tempest model for it.... (i will miss it...) but maybe replace with the typhoon... or soemthin dont no. or u could give 'us' (i dont wanna be gallente... or minmatar....) a third bs!!

'the gallenteans had deviously held back the plans for the original mammoth bs (THOSE BASTARDS!!) and convinced the minmatar that they would give them future plans but for now use it as a hauler (dammit i dotn no make something up! THOSE BASTARDS!!) but those evil (PURE EVIL) gallentes never gave it up and the minmat ppl soon forgot bout it (but questions raised by a certain minmatar *COUGH* PATHOS *COUGH* led the minmatar to begin a search for it, and so one of there spies got dug up somthing bout minmatar prototype bs bpo (which happens to be bigger and have some modifications)'

there could be a minmatar trying to get this fabled bpo from the station. and they could ask for the players help! and of course the gallenteans could ask for there peoples help in defense (maybe its at the crielle reaserach station or something.. or hidden somewhere...) and if the minmatar dont win out they dont get the mammoth as a bs (IF ANY OF U GO AND HELP THOSE ******* GALLENTEANS I WILL ADD U TO MY HOPEFUL KILL LIST!! ok so it doesnt exist... Actually all minmatar ships look cool and trashy. The most ugly ships around i think are the ammarians.
Keep the typhoon, make the mammoth a bs and denerf the tempest.

Lets get one thing straight:

The phoons huge open front is the dronebay, the phoon has the largest dronebay of any minmatar ship and thus has the largest opening, simple.
The Mammoth has a whopping 3 gaping holes, 1 in front and 2 on the sides wich sugests it was originally designed to be a BS or atleast a combat ship.
Rumor has it that the mammoth was actually created to be a fighting ship but I would guess that its design made it hard to place in any one of the races fleets. Minmatar ships have a ... rustic look to them, the mammoth did not quite fit in there.
But as long as we are talking of replacing a BS with the mammoth, why not switch it with the dominix? Change the texture to more glossy and you have a perfect dominix :)
In short, hands off my Phoon!

ugliest ship is the thorax (looks like one of those stupid cars that 17 year old's drive, with body-kit etc)

Here's an adaption into a combat vessel that's got a bit of storyline in it .. just an idea :D
Well the minmatars are the opressed slave desperados of the galaxy kinda thing. They'd recycle ships....
"[Name of Minmatar destroyer]
Hull: Mammoth
The MMR has converted several mammoth class industrial ships to become gunships.
The [Name] is a Mammoth that has had it's cargo capacity sacrafied, but has gained much structural integrity, larger power distribution apparatus and more importantly the ability to mount up to 5 weapon turrets"
(Highslots->6, Structure->bigger, Armour->bigger)

moa = ugliest ship
Armegeddon = very kewl looking ship
Scorp/Raven = nice looking but they are 1/2 finished.. they needed to be symetrical with wings on both sides.

Reminds one of a woman sprea.. you know 
Armageddon imo does NOT look like a ***** and has J Lo's behind.
The Scorp would look awesome with the wings symetrically to each side, I suppose.

As for the secondary topic that seems to be underlying in this thread.. my nomination for the game's ugliest ship goes to the Thorax. Followed by most other Gallante ships save for the Incursus, Megathron, Vexor and Maulus. Caldari ships r0xxor imho, I love the assymetricality (is that a word?  ), makes them look kinda special and unlike all the normal types of ships you see in every other sci-fi series/movie. Nice photoshop JoCool, but the Scorpion still looks better the way it is!
