So you add a target in the belly for us EWAR pilots because otherwise people would have to look at their overview, but you can't also add an extra icon that says "also, this guy is shooting at you". |

Wow - CRAZY COOL feature CCP! Big time kudos.
A few things though to reiterate and iterate on the idea...
1) Please have team 5-oh look into seperating Warp Disrupt/Warp Scramb
2) You said 8 EWAR effects displayed...I only saw 7 (ECM, WarpScram/disrupt, TP, NOS, Neut, Web, SensorDisrupt) - was the missing icon the Tracking Disruptor?
3) Would love this feature even more if it showed Positives too as mentioned. e.g. - Remote Rep, Remote Cap, Shield transfer, Remote Sensor boost, Remote ECCM, Remote Tracking boosting, etc etc
4) Can we get a colored hue to these icons like Orange or Red that helps draw your eye to it? For #3 above you could make it light blue hue. It would just be more astetically pleasing.
5) Need a seperate column in the overview for EWAR too.

Great idea - just one option I'd like to see: The UI not 'moving' and popping in one by one.
I'd much prefer having all the EWar icons there, but in an 'inactive' greyed out state (think a fitted, but offline module).
Moving UI's are generally annoying as they cause 'focus drag' - that is no matter what you're looking at, your eye will be drawn to the moving aspect.
I would suggest having them in an actual game window, That way you can drag it about, pin it, resize it and so on....but with the boarder / transparency / pin limitations it probably wouldn't work too well. |

well, good job to the team, on continuing in improving the game quality and experience. it's great to see you're effort in adding those little helpful things, but i don't get so excited just for that. i'm sure you're working on more exciting things, that will be awesome, as a package.
one detail ... how about in the contextual fleet menu, when i want to change wing, whay is there an option for me to "Quit my corporation" !? because, I'm sure that "Quitting corporation" is the right thing you want to do,during a fleet op, or hanging around some "blue POS" and suddenly ... "Quit corporation" and become neutral, because of some lag/ miss click in the desired option, and having POS guns making short work of you ...
looking up for further news and developments, continue the good work please :)

Does it work in the following way?
Hover over icon, determine aggressors - both name and ship. (check) Right click icon, ctrl-click the one you want to target (as per hotkey settings) - again the whole thing should display both name and ship.
If it works that way, I'll find it useful and will be very happy about the feature, else I'll stick with small icons on overview. |

as always people will be a bit stubborn on the whole menu's and UI element of this, and with time it will fit when u guys refine it more and more.

now with the ewar bar, you can technically remove the hostile ewar notifications off the overview. how about replacing that mechanic with one that shows friendly ewar against overview contacts, say with a green ring around the icon to denote friendly ewar on target. |

thanks bro! anyway wanted to amend it cause i used the term 'friendly' waaaaay to loosely!
having all contacts on your overview showing friendly ewar being used on them would be bad cause itd put undue stress on the need to send data to and from other servers crunching standings data etc...
best to limit only to fleet. So icons on the overview contacts will have a pink circle round them denoting someone in your fleet is applying ewar/ecm onto that contact.
i wouldnt put multiplier numbers on them so if a contact is being scram'd by 10 guys, just the warp jammer icon appears, no X10 next to it etc...
we dont want to have it tooo easy! |
