The mission types (ie killing or courier) is determined by the department your agent works for. If you always get courier missions, that is Admin I think. Security is what I am doing now, that is almost always a kill mission.

Opening and closing the Overview apparently solves that problem. When it happened to me I logged off and back in, which solved it. Seems like a random glitch, only happened to me once so far.

I agree with Dread Blah about Worlds Collide. I got that one early on too, and it really ripped me up then. I thought I had to kill everything, not just race right by them to the next acceleration gate. Once I did that, the mission was much easier...
