My 2 isks. Nagl needs: Either shieldtank - more cpu, more cap, -1 low +1 med( currently shield-tanked nagl - easy prey for a death-star even without using neutralizers. Ofc, one can fit caldary navy everything backed up with semiconductor memory c...

Originally by: Astria Tiphareth Why? You're afraid you might have to think about a new fit? CCP took a look at the Miner I vs 150mm Autocannon I issue and decided, quite rightly, that every PvPer under the sun fits an 150mm .This imp...

6. Agility, acceleration and orbits, some maths - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: deadok on 13/03/2008 19:21:24 meh, possible reason for result deviation: orbit in eve isn't flat, it is some kind of 3d-helix: orbit plane priodically changes, so some part of acceleration goes to plane change. any ideas on how it ...

while i still rewriting the code, can't not point out, that in my opinion (and my model) not engine thrust aligned with tangential to orbit sphere, but resulting force (thrust + friction) - in fact, i don't operate with force, i operate only with ...

btw with your data and tf=1, delta=1, and refresh=5 i got orbit=14662-14667, and speed=3737-3768. anyways i need to completly rewrite code - atleast with timefactor != 1 it draws something strange - need more coffee at the morning. updated .exe ...

13. Agility, acceleration and orbits, some maths - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
IMO: it is a big mistake to apply continous-time formulae of Newton's physics to semi-discrete universe of eve. 1-st statement: orbiting is 'double-clicking' along the line, which is passing through your ship and tangental to orbiting sphere (sphe...
