Well now BOB/GBC have officially withdrawn and the disbandment of the alliance (well almost), whos now going to save us from the inevitable goon/nc dominance. Eve becomes almost total napfest.. Love em or hate em eve has suddenly become a whole lot more boring. IN one way also, CCP helped them become what they did, but ironically it also helped kill them..

Russians are losing space last I saw,
Tri is still attacking the north.
Its only a matter of time before goons get bored and attack someone else.

Once the mutual enemy is gone they'll just get at each others throats. This is EVE after all and most people in 0.0 are down there for the sake of combat not for sitting in their systems waiting for the next downtime. -------- Ideas for: Mining

Eh? It used to be Everyone vs GBC. Now bob is gone, the alliances are disappearing. NC will likely reset goons eventually, PL will likely reset everyone.

I guess you were not playing when similar threads like this were being made, only difference was that instead of ''goons+NC'' we had BoB or GBC. The 'Fendahlian Collective' strikes again |

Well, You have the goons. For good or for ill. Now its up to the citizens of EVE to decide what they will do about it. Will they surrender? or will they fight?

Kenny is dead, so we(well atleast RAWR) has gone back home. So unless CCP introduces weapons that can kill POSes from the other end of the starmap they'll be alright. |

CCP's going to be changing the Sov system "soon". Hopefully it'll force 0.0 alliance's to only take a small part of space instead of hundreds or even thousands of systems.
Maybe one that only allows moon mining in one region at a time. |

The funny thing is that it works both ways, people in NC/PL will get bored too.

If it breaks up the big colored regions on the sov maps a bit and mixes it up allowing for other smaller alliances or even corps to stand a chance out there it should be interesting.

There will be conflicts to break up the hegemony I'm sure. Triple Acne for one oppose the goons and once and if they're disposed of the heat will be turned up on the drone region power constellation.
There are 4 very distinct powerblocks at present and then there are all the mover and shakers inbetween that will do their best to make them turn on eachother. Triumvirate and remnants of the empire comes to mind.
Should/would/could have, HAVE you chav!

agreed, eve desperately needs this..however i cant see them just removing all the sov the alliances have now..be nice they add lots more space (like a previous post shown) then implement the sov rules..

At some point the boredom will introduce itself and standings will get reset, fights over territory will start over again. Alliances will gather up at 2 or maybe 3 sides and have a slugfest.
The influence map will have some color changes and voila, a small period of relaive peace comes till boredom emerges again.

Im not sure this time, there as always been a north vs south divide as far back as i can remember, that no longer exists as a real entity now..I think the standings will be kept, just smaller skirmishes will now be with Tri, Atlas and AAA, Agression now they suddenly got bloated and maybe some smaller alliances.. |

Most online game communities when you get right down to it are nothing more than online gangs. Once a common enemy is defeated they go back to self interests, old issues are renewed and before you know it its back to buisness as ussual. It wont be long until the next biggest alliance becomes the new bob and everyone targets it. |

Anyone believing this napfest propaganda is delusional. We were not the ones piling 1400 people in to a system. Do people still see EVE as BoB vs Goons? Do people just miss the tens of thousands of players in the east who are opposed to goons? Atlas, aggression, Sc0rched earth, Against all authorities, Stain empire, c0ven, systematic chaos, IRC, ED, COW, Krautbreak and minor threat?
This war is far from over and it's heating up to be an even bigger war in the drone regions/insmother with NC, PL and GS joining the fray on the side of Legion of xDeathx and Red alliance while SOLAR are currently very neutral in this. Interesting times ahead, not boring |

Artificial barriers like these are a horrible idea. Completely against the spirit of the game. Players make the content, players control the universe, having an overlord (CCP) more or less dictating how well players are allowed to do would be silly.
If an alliance is good enough to control all of 0.0, so be it. Up to YOU to pull them down. However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

Why do people think the napfest will continue ? i'm really looking forward to watching the blues fall out with each other and see what fights will kick off there, not out of spite for the current nap but coz thats just what happens. Everyone knew the bob and goons story and well frankly its time for new drama, wars and conflicts.

Reading through the last 3-4 months of battlereports your side might not be the insanely huge coalition.
But you do seem to have the upper hand in all timezones except the european one. And pretty good numbers in even that one even if you got outnumbered from time to time. |
