Making sure that only one guy has access to the vault is a great way to block director fraud, at least until you ask that guy to lay some of that power aside. All the worse if you ask him rudely, while blaming him for an ongoing disaster, and just after his honeymoon.

From all the possible ways to see Goons disbanded, why everybody is not surprised that this would happen in such a way?

All your (pretended) support to allies...
...has been a bluff when taken to harsh circumstances for your side.
Maybe the fact that you were acting like a bully giant was completely clear in your minds when the game did not reward you, or functionned, as expected.

I raise a drink to the goons for a long run, I do not have personal vendettas versus the goons. I wish them the best of luck in what may come in the future and speaking as a person who's played for 4 years to a group who's been in my mind at times entertaining and reliving old fights of mass frigates using the ships themselves as projectiles, much respect to the overwhelming numbers. I think itÆs a given that any day now we will see some sort of announcement from darius or mitts about the new ôBand of Brothers Allianceöà. There will be an few statements trying to get the IT guys all stirred up over it but at the end of the day the gimmick will fizzle and die out like anything goonies do. Goonies will always be called goonies even under a Band of Brothers Alliance nameà.

When I first heard this, I admit I was somewhat disappointed. I had high hoping of chasing the little goons all over 0.0, until they simply fell apart from lack of ships, leadership, etc.
However after some reflection, perhaps this is best, knowing when IT came, they were dead anyway, they instead went into a fail-cascade of epic scope. That and losing their wallet and a good chunk of their fleet, is far beyond anything we could ever hope for.

If you honestly believe that, then you were never in 49-. If you had been, and counted our numbers, 150-200 BS and support, you would have known that IT was not yet committed to taking that system. We were still in the process of cleaning up Fountain, and the euro cap fleet was getting a well deserved rest. We wanted to help sys-k and -A- out, but since you played the lag card by bringing every alt you could find into system, we did what we could on short notice.
But being a goon, and believing your own press, I can only say this....

I agree here. A new system of corp / alliance governance is needed. There have been too many cases of rogue individuals causing huge damage - ironically it was one of the Goons favourite weapons.

A pathetic attempt to draw attention over them. Even more pathetic to use their former arch-enemy's name. Clearly it will take time and psychological treatment until they digest this blow to their balls.
Till then, we'll be enjoying how do they cry and run from one point to the other on EVE trying to do something that does not remind them constantly that being so many how could they've failed so much.

Most of the epic moments that I experienced in this game... have been while being a member of GS (under Remedial and shortly after).
It was a blast, and it sorta sucks to see ya go... but you guys have changed for the worst, and this end was inevitable.
