Is CCP going to answer how any of their reasoning makes sense?
Screw over 48000 people without petitions pending, so that you can rid yourself of 2000 petitions?
Are they going to hand out billions of isk to PvP alliances that were winning battles to make up for the loss of advantage by hurting the enemy finacially?
As other have stated, the answer given in that chat log is so full of **** Iceland must be reeking of it atm.
Linkage
"We don't doubt your word, but if we were to reimburse people who claimed to have lost their ships when being stuck in warp we would be completely inundated with requests from everyone else every time they lost a battle with an NPC pirate or another player. Incidentally, we very strongly suggest that you always have your ship insured. It won't bring everything back, but will at least mitigate the loss. "

hmmm mr Full Impact.
What if I had been a lot more "stupid"/"foresighted" than I was and had suicided 10 BS and insurance against lev4 missions in that period and now had 10 free ships and my billion isk that could be used for a contract to set mercs on your corporation and blast your operation to bits because I took offence to your avatar?
Would that be a tad unbalancing to you think?
A little bit unbalancing?
Maybe just maybe that amount of "free money" entering the game might not be a good idea perhaps?

I never post, and am not involved in this situation concerning BoB/NSA/whoever. I would just liek CCP to know that I am disapointed by this decision and it seems unfair to alot of players. I didnt log in the week exodus came out because I didnt want to deal with the lag/server issues.... now I wish I had logged in and lost a few ships, I'd be a bit richer then I was before exodus without doing anything.

Thats the kicker. The one that actually really does kick anyone relatively new in the game, right where it hurts.
With all the new players coming into Eve recently, this can't make them happy. Talk about discouragement
C'mon CCP, take the insurance ISK. It just makes sense and would put a complete stop to everyones problem with this situation. Least it would mine.
I totally agree. At about just under 5 mil SP I'm just starting to take my first tentative steps into 0.0.. I could have gotten my BS and headed out there a lot sooner but I tried to play it right, making sacrifices and making sure I had the skills and knew what I was doing before I made that jump, in addition to making sure I had the financial werewithal to cover my losses if (or when ) I ran into trouble out there. I want to be good at this game and love the 'real risk/reward' aspect of it.. hence I generally have a lot of respect for some of these vets in here who have excelled in that environment. It kinda sucks how this decision screws them over IMO.
Personally it really cheapens all that work and sacrifice that I put in to try and make a well-planned and researched foray into 0.0 and hopefully some of the higher-end content of this game.. I mean why didn't I just train up to fly a raven at 1.5 mil SP and set autopilot into some chokepoint.. there's no risk right?

Yep mate, your the guy I would like them to listen to. Your playing the game honestly and in the right spirit and in the future you'll be up there with the best competing and defining the politics and struggles of next year.
And its your enthusiasm and spirit that will get you there.
Not "free money" deposited into your hanger because because threw your ships away.
Please keep trying and learning the game properly.
Respect.

this is really anooying why don't I get any free isk I never lost a ship during this time, handing players hundreds of million in free isk is just not fair especially since the majority of ship losses were not lag related ect, add me to the list of people who will probably quit, I spend many hours to make 100 mil isk and you go hand tons of players this for free is just unacceptable.

If you give CCP some credit I think that maybe tracking down all these petitions and deciding which is worthwhile and who was insured and who was not, and when the insurance was running out, and whether death was due to BoB or lag etc., maybe it would be too much work.
I think that everybody's time is limited and if they work on these petitions then maybe they dont have time for other things, such as fixing and balancing Exodus. So maybe even though BoB might have gotten screwed here, maybe it is in the best interest of the player base to move on so that work on Exodus could go on instead of focusing on this. Seriously we all get screwed with nerfs every so often and this is BoB nerfed. But then in 2 weeks after you blow up NSA and PA and FU you get to post that you beat them even despite those BS being returned, as we know you will.

I'm disappointed.
I'm disappointed that I didn't **** away all my BS on lvl 4 missions. because right now, I'd be sitting pretty on ~400 million isk, plus get all my ships back, plus get whatever I salvaged from the missions, plus the loot from my BS wrecks.
maybe next patch, eh
bad move, CCP. I'm glad I'm not in your shoes right now... .

So:
- give ship back. - if ship was insured, remove insurance ISK from that players wallet.
How is that very much harder? The values for the ships returned are KNOWN after all.
I have no issue whatsoever with people getting ships back, wether it was lag or bad luck/flying in pvp, etc. But c'mon, I've got 3 BS's currently I could have suicided and been up about 275mill ISK Maybe its selfish, and yes this is a game, but damnit I played it safe and now I'm missing out on a damn jackpot

To all of you Bob whiny arses, I got (0)zero (for those who can't count) ships back. My point is that you guys sound like the biggest group of skirt wearing beatches in this thread. I am sure all of your whining will be rec'd with a hearty whoopee-dittee-doo. I think its funny that you guys are crying like carebears so bad. As to the thread, I may disagree with it. But again, I can't get past the massive outcries from BoB. Change the name to BaB....Big Arse Babies...ROFL *f3ar teh Rev0luti0n*

Care to comment on the problem with this free isk handout being unbalanced in favour of established battleship-owning suiciders and disadvantaging newbie players slaving away for their first big ship?
