What I hope to see from WoD:
A sherif that actually kills repeat offenders, masquerade breachers and other riff raff. I want actual consequences.
I want to be able to embrace another player. (some kind of buddy system, with ingame consequences)
I want realistic populations of vampires.
I want an actual gameplay involving getting blood, and competition for same.
I want well functioning elders. (NPCs obviously)
Generation as we know it, will probably have to go, for balancing purposes.
But more than anything, I want a static and unchanging setting where what the players do never will have any "real" impact.

That wouldn't make it much of an MMO, thoughà

Why NPCs? It's the elders that set the politics and social arenas in motion (although ancillae will be the outwards movers and shakers).

I'm not entirely sure CCP are up to (down to) the task of doing something that boringà
What do you mean by "real" impact? If the arenas don't change and there is no back-and-forth between the clans and coteries, it just wouldn't be Vampire. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

I'll reply with my main... (Stupid boards wouldn't let me change my char last night, so it was time to delete an alt)
About realistic populations... If ccp is making a single city game, that would be hard. But with a possibility of hundreds, if not thousands of different cities, it should be possible..
Elders as NPC's. How else? I hope that the players will be playing ancilla, as elder positions could be considered "winning" in VtM. No fun in playing if you already won.
And about static settings. Ofcourse the arenas will change and coteries will interact, But when I say real change, I mean being able to throw an entire clan out of a city or killing off half a citys population, shouldn't be in the players power.
And to the comment about being static means boring. You clearly haven't read the prime fiction for WoD. VtM is all about being stuck in a static unchanging world, where everything you do already have been planned out by a bigger power. If that goes away, so does the charm of the game IMHO. ----------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.
I had a mind once, but alas, I seem to have forgotten where I left it.

This would mean that you get to play a vampire, while the other player at least starts as human. Unless you mean either a) you wish to bring a new player to the game by embracing a human to be their character, or b) you just want the /hug emote to be available, this idea seems pretty flawed to me.

As I wrote... A kind of buddy program, like we have in eve. You invite someone and if they accept and start playing they play as your child. Obviously this shouldn't just be done, as illegal childer will get you killed by the sherif. Maybe it could be some kind of ingame reward from the prince. (Whom I still hope will be an NPC)
And LOL at the /hug emote idea... ----------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.

Saw the short film. I have to agree it seems most likely to apeal to the demographics mentioned in several posts. Some people seemed to take offense to that. I don't know why. Chick flicks are called that for a reason. But this cracked me up. What I hope to see from WoD:
Quote: A sherif that actually kills repeat offenders, masquerade breachers and other riff raff. I want actual consequences.

This is why I would never probably ever pay attention to the game much less pay to play it. I don't understand anything this fellow is talking about but it sounds terribly pretentious and besides, that which I don't understand I hate. But this
Quote: Oh god, I can¦t wait to see some Twilight-worshipping emo teens meeting the usual goon-hardened, jita-scamming, suicide-ganking, pirating midthirties-scumbag community from EVE online. Tears and emorage will be epic!

Damn straight. The female to male ratio in this game might actually be close to even.
There will still be plenty of sausage fest games for you to play, so don't fret.

I didn't say all did. It's just something more tend to be interested in.
Women who are into internet spaceships, for example, are a very rare breed. You find more in fantasy games like WoW, but it's still not even close to the amount of guys.

No, but women are 90% to blame for the popularity of the Twilight movies.

Yeah, the first couple of days I even reported it half a dozen times. Guess the community team has its blinkers on to filter out bluebar threads.
If it wasn't a CCP game this thread might actually have the rules apply to it. -----
