CCP needs to learn to under promise and over deliver, which is perhaps the opposite of what they are doing now.

If they would've just said TQ will be down all day today, and then they ended up getting it running before COB, then maybe people would be happy instead of ****ed about an extra hour of DT.

And really, an extra hour isn't anything to get upset about. Don't you people have jobs?

Now, granted, you might never make it out of mommy and daddy's basement (or attic, for those of you more worthless than others) and come to know this real life I speak of, but trust me - it's out there, it's real, and the only difference between EVE and, oh, I dunno, Wells Fargo, is that HERE, on THESE forums, SOMEONE might actually respond to you.

Now quit *****ing and go get dressed - you don't want to be late to your shift at McDonalds...

Last night after receiveing 1 hour notice till downtime the system went down 30 min later while i was in a labrinth almost cost me my abaddon but did cost me all of the salvage and alot of bounties,not problem but if you say 1 hour please stick to the hour so we can fish what we have going on and log out in safety about 50 mil lost in savlage and bounties. other then that thank you for your hard work on the eve system. anychance we could get a training bonus agian like we did a little while back.

Maybe having a second server would help. The two server would be in network and act as one, but when an update is needed, you shut down the first to work on it and let the second up and running.

This would cost a lot, but since everybody here seems to complain about necessary patch I dont think there would be anything else to do.

By the way this game is really nice so I dont care waiting for it ti be better!

Update No. 2 posted at 11:30 UTC

Database updates have now been completed and Tranquility is up and running in VIP mode.
Verification and quality control procedures are underway, and so far everything is going according to schedule.

Update No.4 posted at 13:30 UTC

Tranquility has now been up for two hours in the VIP mode and so far verification and quality control has not uncovered any serious issues. We are currently on track for opening the Tranquility server to players at 16:30 UTC as planned.

Still, pleased with ccp's new approach to down time. Set a side a day and keep the promise!

Way to go ccp. Let's hope the patch fix real issues and doesn't bring a bunch of new ones (fingers crossed)
