If they would've just said TQ will be down all day today, and then they ended up getting it running before COB, then maybe people would be happy instead of ****ed about an extra hour of DT.
And really, an extra hour isn't anything to get upset about. Don't you people have jobs?
Thank you CCP for a rather detailed status updates. It's very much appreciated by the mature EVE players, if perhaps a bit lost on some of the others...
I'm with Smodab on this one. At least they are taking time to update us on the status. I've played way too many online games that just leave you hanging on how long or what is going on.
Thumbs up to Navigator for keeping US in the loop on whats going on.

Maybe having a second server would help. The two server would be in network and act as one, but when an update is needed, you shut down the first to work on it and let the second up and running.
This would cost a lot, but since everybody here seems to complain about necessary patch I dont think there would be anything else to do.
By the way this game is really nice so I dont care waiting for it ti be better!

When your brand new car has an electronics problem or a misfire, or your new house springs a leak, or your new computer blue-screens, you MIGHT have warranties for repair or free service or whatnot, but YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY YOUR DEBT ON THAT ITEM WHILE IT'S BEING FIXED!!! I'd love to see ANY of you take your Chevy Cavalier (you loser) into the dealership and demand a reduced payment that month because "it needed fixed and I couldn't use it."
YES, you pay for EVE - YES, sometimes it gets broken and needs fixed, YES you'll still pay your monthly payment(s) because THAT'S LIFE. Now, granted, you might never make it out of mommy and daddy's basement (or attic, for those of you more worthless than others) and come to know this real life I speak of, but trust me - it's out there, it's real, and the only difference between EVE and, oh, I dunno, Wells Fargo, is that HERE, on THESE forums, SOMEONE might actually respond to you.

I woke up at the keyboard about 15 seconds before the server shut down. I was tanking everything in the pocket. While asleep. You were safe.
Also CCP is doing an amazing job with the real time updates.

Update No.4 posted at 13:30 UTC
Tranquility has now been up for two hours in the VIP mode and so far verification and quality control has not uncovered any serious issues. We are currently on track for opening the Tranquility server to players at 16:30 UTC as planned.

This means we will only delay the scheduled activation by 3 hours. We are CCP and we rock.
You will not receive any compensation because we are CCP and we rock.
We do not apologize because we are CCP and we rock, and, if you think better, this whole problem is your fault.

Dear CCP please think about this: which is better? 1. you schedule the downtime to be 8 hours long, and you delay every now and then the startup
2. you schedule the downtime to be 12 hours, and you say after 10 hours: HURRRAY we are ready, lets play guys!
just a little thinking and you may get the good answer... i said the GOOD one

Way to go ccp. Let's hope the patch fix real issues and doesn't bring a bunch of new ones (fingers crossed)
