Unfortunately there is no way to change them.
You know you can change the eyebrows? The third option is quite close (check under "hair"). Also you haven't selected the darkest skin tone we have atm (devs have said that there will be darker versions too). First select the skin tone and then make an adjustment to scarring / aging etc to get the selected option to update. Then you can go back to whatever you were satisfied with in the beginning. Yeah, it's "a little" buggy still.
Again, with the wrong eyebrow, pinched nose, really square face, jaw a little too long, mouth a bit too small and personally the wrong hair (makes the head/forehead look too big) it's not unsurprising you don't get the results you want.
So I had a go (probably stepping on somebody's toes already )

Looks great so far,
However for the amarr male, the hair selection seems rather limited and cant seem to get me hair black.
Looking forward to see the finished feature when it gets released tho, cant get anyworse than my curent char portrait ;p

Of course the logical choice is the Brutor, but the cheekbone/cheek/lips/eyes really don't match at all:
A much better choice surprisingly is the Amarr Khanid female, not perfect but some familiarity can be found:

Hey, hey Imai.. I'm not sure what you mean by "all wrong" - we could use a little more info.
Is it your existing character, or one you're creating. And is the 'wrongness' during, or after the creation...? There's another thread here about that specific problem. (for example)

Well, I can't see the boots, but those are Amarrian pants with a Gallente jacket, go figure...
On a serious note though, someone does need to put a stop to this cross-dressing malarkey...

Hey Lex, sorry about not explaining. In Singularity they had a new build. Im talking about the new character creator. I logged on to see my characters avatar photo My new charcters eye shadow was purple and now its light blue and the eyeliner has gone from black to white. My Alt characters facial hair also went from Drk Brn to blonde. I wrote a petition to explain..

I've got a serious issue. CCP, why are you doing the same old thing every mmo does with hair? And b\y that I mean, Gender Based HAir Styles
There is no reason why, as a man, I can't get the floppy Mohawk that right now only females get.
on the same level, there are some mens' haircuts that women I know in real life have. This doesn't make sense, anyone can cut their hair anyway they want. Why can't we in a video game? Guys can have long hair, and they can rely on their jaw, face, and body to make it obvious what gender they are. I'm not saying all hairstyle should be available for both genders, but a lot of them are more than acceptable.
Maybe it's a lack of women in the industry, but it's an oversight that limits your character creator. please consider making some mens hair cut available for women avatars, and vice versa.
thank you

Yeah, you're getting the same results as most of us - it's all being discussed in that other thread I linked to.
Since that thread was started, there hasn't really been any official Dev feedback on what's actually happening there - so it's pretty much free for anyone to speculate on what the problem "is" as such.
My best (maybe hopeful guess) is that the Render-server that's actually rendering (and replacing) our images is running on a different build from us at the moment, ie. my Client tells their Server to use lipstick '5' for example, but to their server with maybe 40 lipsticks, my option '5' is their option '12' - so although it does actually render '5' like I asked it to, I don't get what I wanted -- ie. it's "working" fine - just not the way I expect it to.
Although, that doesn't explain all facial hair ending up blonde (not just yours...) - that'd take something else.
Really, all we need is for CCP to get back involved with these threads, and to drop us a hint on their lunch break

the biggest issue i see with the character creator at the moment is that there doesent seem to be any jet black color for hair. even when i selected what i thought was black the hair on my character apeared to be deep red. i have been unable to find a hairstyle that matched my old porterate and was also unable to find the beard.
aside from the hair and color bugs i was also unable to find the facial decorations like some avatars have the caldari metal plates the gallente visors all completely missing from the creator
caldari navy uniforms are also completely missing and i have been unable to find anything even remotly close.
i just tested this on singularity today. i am not going to ask ccp to add a ton of new goodies but all i really want is to have what was in the old character creator. i was promised i could make somthing that looked similar to my old character but absoutly none of the clothing facial decorations or hair colors/styles are in the new creator and i know i was using the most recent beta release.
i will completely loose my identity when incarna rolls out unless ccp makes a serious effort to port some of the normal looking clothes and facial decorations as well as bringing back the gotee and making black hair look proper :Its all fun and games untill your logistics guy tries passive tanking his raven: |

Ive been going through the test Forums and I just thought... All the BETA tests ive played on other games only bring maybe 60-75% of what were supposed to play. I hope and think that we will get all our Traditional Uniforms and hair and Bling that goes with our old characters.. If it comes to a bit of "Attention to detail".. CCP will bring it...."I hope"...

Most art assets are still WIP, even if the last Incursions expansion is due only in couple of weeks. I'm fairly certain that many of the art is still in beta and we don't need to test different outfits as more as rather exploring the usability of the creator. It's not an exercise of content but functionality. Not of course saying that we are happy if this is all we are going to get, I just don't think so so I'm not really that bothered, yet.
Looking at your picture, the hair seems more like a dark brown, not pitch black. As beards are still very much in development there are lots of them missing, what we have though is near yours, just a few days more of growth

We have a lot of topics about missing clothes, accessories, hairs, skin colors, missing emotes, etc.
Is it possible to get a statement from CCP if it is planned to add more of these things when patch will come on 18th January?

Well to be honest, releasing stuff without half of it even being tested in beta and a part of it not being approved by the community, is that "striving for excellence"??
CCP has a whole team being busy with Incarna, can't at least someone give some feedback? It doesn't exactly induce confidence.

Matari facial tatoos are a must.
There is a feel of uniformity across the racial types, body types, clothing, and hair styles are similar. Would expect the Amarr to be strict and harsh looking, the Gallente to be free and a little over the top, the Matari Tribal tatoos and brighter colors, and the Caldari to be monochromatic and part of the state machine.
This is most likely too harsh a following of the back story, but seeing a pilot face to face should give a clue to their background.
Overall the interface was straightforward to use, and the current level of customizaton is good. (But we all want more ! )

It's become blatantly obvious t he CCP is ignoring us at the moment. I'd really like to know why my character's hair dissapears, if all we are gonna get on the 17th is 3 recolored versions of the same set of pants, along with all the other clothing. What about more hair styles? Or hair styles that actually sit correctly on the characters head and don't make it look like a huge forehead? I mean, seriously, those of us that like this would really like to know what to expect in a little over two weeks. In it's current rendition if things don't change, I'll just wait for Incarna before bothering to re-create any of my characters at all.
To bed this post will fall on deaf CCP ears, and the ears of flamers.

Well this is one of my first attempts at Zora 2011... not bad me thinks :)
so far I really like the amount of detail you can add if you know what to adjust, I just miss the tatoos etc. for female avatars. Also more accessories would be nice. But I'm sure that will come over time. More than one body type per race would be awesome too. You can add a lot of variety to the avatars as it is now, but you need to put a lot of work into making them not look too generic.
What's really annoying is that the whole thing seems to crash every hour or so. Maybe if your current draft would be saved regularly, you could resume your work (and not having to try to recreate everything, which is hard without sliders to look at).
Which, by the way, reminds me that SLIDERS would be awesome for 2 reasons: 1) you could create characters on SiSi and just make a screenshot of the sliders, recreate the same thing on tranquility once it goes live, and you're done. 2) Instead of the current clickfest where you often accidentally drag something that you didn't mean to, you could simply adjust sliders to finetune the character. Mouse is fine for the rough parts (better than sliders), but when you're finetuning it's getting in the way.

Really minor issue that I'll just throw out there because I hit it: when selecting the bloodline and gender, the "next" button is enabled before you select both, even though it is guaranteed to give you an error. Should be disabled.

Minmitar brutor tribe (male) looks like an angry somali pirate. now thats great if you want to look like an angry somali pirate. but i do not.
i ask that some work be done on minmitar brutor (male). allow some toned down features, and lighter skin tones.
Or if you do not want to let us choose our 'race' (IE skin color, features) then please, please, please allow us to change tribes.

Color alone doesn't make one a "somali". Actually a somali has very distinct appearance, high forehead and doesn't have very exaggerated facial features, the face is pretty plain actually. The Brutor are much closer to a congolese.
A typical somali face:

While it would be easier to recreate the character, you would need a boatloads of sliders. Just for nose there would need to be a slider for each funtion. If not, you could get like either or, but not both i.e. it would be like the old creator where you adjusted the slider in one direction which also changed another part. Just for the nose you would need probably ten to twenty sliders. Nose lenght would be the easiest, only one slider, up and down. But what about the nose bridge which controls the width, height and lenght? Three more. Then the lower part of the nose which is separated into two parts, each need three sliders, so now we have already ten sliders just for the nose.
It would be much better to be able to save the character and continue later if needed. At least to have an option to change the history function so that you can save say up to 5 stages, this way you could save once you feel it's starting to come together. Then tweak some more and save again. Now if you could fast switch between these two stages quickly, it would be much easier to judge whether the further tweaks improved the look of the character.
It very easy to come blind with the character you're creating. A portrait I did the other day will look different the next day. What looked good then, may look not as nice the next day when you see it "fresh".
