According to my clock it's 16:15 UTC now. The download-link for the patch still is not available. What's going one here. Should we expect again an extended downtime ?

Makes too much sense, might improve customer experience.
Somebody actually ask this somewhere and one of the Devs agreed it was a good idea. You might see it implemented by 2016.
There have been plenty of times when the patch was available for download before the autopatch went up. However, it is not uncommon for them to make small changes here and there, meaning that the patch you just spent that time downloading before they were done no longer works, and you have to download the new one because you were too impatient to wait for them to finish. I have a slow connection that takes a while to download some patches too, but I'd rather wait to get the finished product than to have to do it twice.

You're running Windows on it? Then Eve should run, as it's designed for home PCs such as yours.
You have it easy, of course. I install my clients to a read-only NFS partition on a Sun E450 with fully populated system boards running Solaris. The partition is a RAID5 with four independent SCSI controllers (and quite a lot of disks). I have to logon as a pivileged user to set write permissions before I can update EVE, then reset everything read-only again. After the base client system is installed I can then link all my character clients (using a special script). Every client and all ALTs thus have their own unique installations linked to the base install, with dedicated cache and configs for each client. On major releases my installation script needs to be rewritten to take account of any new binaries that will need to be linked.
For the front-end I have a games machine like yours, only with better graphics capabilities (which EVE won't be using anyhow) and the OS on an SSD drive.
Cost wise, I probably paid about 20% of what you paid, and get 200% the performance. The difference will be accounted for by all the hours of effort I put in to the underlying system design, instead of expecting to be able to just go and buy something that would magically be configured to perform the way I wanted it to.
This is why windows is the number one used OS in the world and Linux well are you even on the map? Oh wait u are, about 13% of the world. so yes i love my buy something and make it work with not really having to work, and im sure u can not get a system 200% faster then mine. ------------------------------------------ http://www.mygamerbook.com/evehelp |

not to be complaining but why have CCP not figured out that a patch never goes live when they say..
if patch "planed" to go live at 16:00 tell eve players 20:00... I've never heard of a eve player complaining it going up earlier and gives you extra time to iron out the little bugs

Solaris != Linux
Feel the same yes from a console point of view, but do not get the two confused.

How do the Quadro handle video games? Are there any compatibility issues? I know little about them beyond being a redering card for maya and whatnot.
Here lemme tell you a few things.
Power Supply 1200 Watt Modular - Way too low for the specs you presented your system would have a hard time booting. Motherboard Rampage III Extreme - - Asus Rampage III Black Edition is much better Processor Core i7 Extreme 990X 3.46GHz - Now if this is the overclock freq you suck. Processor Cooler Mach V Liquid Cooling - overrated Processor Overclock - orly? Mach V Processor Overclock - orly? Memory 24GB (6x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 - high density modules at 1600mhz keep dreaming. The more denser the ram the lower the freq you will be lucky if the boot at 1333mhz. Video Card Quadro FX 6000 (6GB) Video Card 2 Quadro FX 6000 (6GB) - While these tree cards sound big and expensive and they do rendering on a workstating like hell if you'd play eve you'd be hard pressed to get decent framerates as Quadro and Fire GL cards are to make processing quality not framerates so a single top GPU will kick the living **** in Framerates on these cards so next time you want to impress by copy-pasting specs get some IT background first. Video Card 3 Quadro FX 6000 (6GB) Monitor 3x 23" 1920x1080 & 3D Vision Kit - Since when do you get 3D on Quadro FX cards bud? Sound Card X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Champion - Great Card Speakers Logitech Z-523 2.1 40 Watt - U using it with the card that requires 1000$ of hi-fi to get the proper sound out of it with a 2.1 40W system? What a joke i guess the onboard card would be too much for it too, even some 100$ headphones would do a better job. Networking Extreme N USB - What? RAID Controller 9260-8i & 8x 512GB SSD - Uhum so youre using a 8x Raid controller with 4x512 Drives instead of 8x256 Drives that delivers twice the performance on half the price way to waste the cashflow. Beside why get more then 500 gb of ssd storage? Movies playing stuttered? =)). Or you have 100 Games installed that you play all of them in a 24h timeframe, i guess sleep is for the afterlife. Hard Drive 512GB - SSD - 6Gb/s Hard Drive 2 512GB - SSD - 6Gb/s Hard Drive 3 512GB - SSD - 6Gb/s Hard Drive 4 512GB - SSD - 6Gb/s Optical Drive 12x Blu-Ray Writer - Waste of cash DVD-RW+BluRay Reader combo drive is the best atm as bluray prices are stupid you can get a 2TB drive on the price of 6 blank dual layered bluerays may i mention the difference is 6x50gb compared to 2000GB (rewriteble storage at higher speeds?). Optical Drive 2 12x BluRay Reader Media Reader Internal Media Reader - yeah 10$ card reader good choice. 64-Bit Operating
NOTE: 3 Quadros + X-Fi Fatality + Raid Controller - don't fit on that mobo bro. Try a Phantom case since you forgot about it its worth the cash.
