You guys are overreacting, Hydra did what you guys would have done in the honorable situation that outbreak put themselves in. They are normal its the outbreak people that are abnormal Its too bad they messed up yes but since outbreak were giving away their victory its all good. Besides its part of the game. Stop crying. If its that much of a problem then war dec them and see if you can bring them down.

Actually nividia doesnt really suck, only the graphic card itself. The programs and updates, drivers everything is awesome! Its just that the card itself doesnt live up to the quality of the program

They both made it to the finals fair and square. The problem is that HYDRA essentially had two teams in the tournament giving them double the chances of getting to the finals. If both teams go to the finals then essentially they get all the prizes. They will most likely join back up after this is all over. Frankly, if they both get the prizes...all CCP has done is say that you can have multiple teams in the tournament to raise your chances of winning giving you an edge over every other team in the tournament.

I agree with the OP. Bring back the drama and the need for popcorn. Kick and ban those who avoid the real fights, but just appear to participate for show offs and to pad each other on the back for meta-gaming.
If CCP does not put the "drama hammer" onto those teams then they may as well declare lolzsec the winner for DDoS'ing the EVE server.

I can see no rule they could have broken there. Two teams - yep. They killed all other teams - thus have proven them selves superior - check.
So, what's the problem? Earlyer there were recorded bribery offers given in the local channel, 20b isk as far as I recall. All goes in eve.

So bascially after all those "not Hello Kitty World" and "go play WoW" replies, let me summarize:
I bascially can go the eveonline page buy 100 PLEX, exchange them ingame to get me a victory in a TV-like live broadcasted major tournament just to show what a man I am? So that's the spirit of Eve? How lame. That even more because I've never heard that in these other dismissivly named games big events have been set up that way. Why actually even bother to create all these many rules for such a tournament?

How about no alliance may be created for the sole purpose of alliance tournament entry with the resulting corps in the alliance coming from an already participating alliance?
I know you could create a brand new corp or join another corp then, but then enforcing it would be too much of a hassle on CCP's part. There are loopholes in how I worded that, but it is a start. |

Welcome to all the alliances in the North  Some may be red, but all might as well be blue. They carebear hump, harder then any highsec player.
Example #1-Allience torny.
Lawl at all the ppl thinking anything more might come of this event. Did u all really expect there to be good fights, with the rules allowed? I a mean really? Blame ccp, blame the carebear's that fought? Nah, blame the idiots that thought they might get some entertainment out of the 0.0 sov humpers.
Also, and yes. Most every player u see that is pvping buys there isk with plex. Got to if u want to win

Yea. So basically it's nothing. You should try again after you actually thought about it. Unless you already did and this is best you could come up with. (which would be quite sad indeed)
Even if CCP goes for something ******ed like "alliances taking part must be 5 years old" it would only mean that teams would have to buy old alliances and nothing would change.

The ending fitted EVE very well, but it was boring as **** to watch and a huge anticlimax to the entire evening. I guess congratz are in order though. I thought PL winning again would be the most boring thing that could possibly happen, but the finalists proved me wrong. So cudos to both of you for making what seemed like an impossible acievement become reality.

This was the first and probably the last time i will watch the Alliance Tournament.
I can't fault the teams as they acted within the rules. However, CCP should change the rules for next year otherwise i don't see the point in having a tournament.

I thought eve had a decent player base, threads like this prove me wrong, you are all idiots, this AT has easily been the best so far, never has the level of competition been so great and even at their peak PL did not play this tourney as well as Hydra have done this time.
Go back to your L4 missions and shut up or learn what eve is about before you post.
TL;DR - Hydra played this (highly contested)tourney better than any before.

Not really bothered, wouldn't have made a thread about it. However I can't help but feel the metagaming and all associated activities should be left on tq. That's where it belongs and I suspect we all love it there, after all it adds a dimension rarely found in games.
I just feel the AT should be purely about skill. This is what the masses crave, every day people watch their sports stars and dream of being abl to do what they do. They also know that when they go home they are sleeping with the brothers and team mates wives and they love that too, until it affects what happens on the field.

This is EVE tbh
final was bad , but not for what happened, which is one of the best part of the game, more for how it happened, u guys HYDRA and Outbreak could have played a bit better,some fireshow like the boars and their bff, but that's just my pov ^_^
C'mon guys u think there's a single competition , even in RL, which involves money (isk in our case), that doesn't go this way, if u do then u'r a bit naive (for rl references check italian Serie A)

Plenty of teams had ample opportunity to knock both Hydra and Outbreak out in the previous stages and failed. How would you disqualify them? They conformed to all tourney rules.
Anyone should be congratulated for getting a team to the finals but getting two teams there? That is amazing. Their hard work paid off.
I would imagine that as there is enough whining about this outcome, CCP will radically change the format of the tournament next time.
