I knew there was something!! - I'll add the Mac issues now. Sorry about that!
While we're at it there's the support for linux native client, which was dropped because of lack of staff iirc, when games like vendetta online continue to have a linux client with a much smaller team and have added android support now too.
You have a point, but do you mind if i/we keep the list of issues to those specifically related to Incarna? Thanks.

Best post I've seen summarising the issues so far, sadly having read the email I can't see CCP changing course so - with deep regert - I am unsubscribing my two accounts.
For the last time CCP - this really isn't about the price of those stupid monocles!
Thanks for a fun 4 years,

Originally by: Noran Ferah I am not trolling you, Ms Freak, I just think that CCP knows far better than we what to do with their game.
Not trying to rain on your parade, I am sure you feel you have valid points. I don't know why you feel surprised that the figurehead CSM was bypassed. In the end, CCP is a business. They are going to do whatever they must to remain competitive in the market. I am not surprised at anything they have done here, it is after all, their game, not ours. They are the ones that will decide what will happen here, and my guess is that all these 'leaks' were done on purpose to gauge reactions to changes that have been in the works for ages. It is to them I look for where this game should go, not the player base. I think that they have done a great job so far, and if you don't like the changes they are planning, well, HTFU. It is not the end of the world.
Perhaps their analysis of the market has shown that these changes, while perhaps making them lose say 10% of their player base, will result in a 25% increase in subscribers after all is said and done? What would you do in that situation? They do not owe us anything. They provide a service, we pay for it, quid pro quo.
Is it possible they could have done a better job in warning the players of changes in the pipe? Sure, but why do they owe me that? So I cant go farm LG Virtues in my unproebable Tengu in Aeschee anymore. So what? I need to move on and find something else to do...
Change is good, the more surprising the better.
A great deal of people simply don't want to hear that. They believe that because they spend a lousy 15 bucks a month they somehow should have decision making privlidges...

Good post, I know it had to be hard to sanely write a response to Hilmar.
I mean serious claiming a single ambulation box= technological achievement that no one has done before. Breaking core game mechanics like implants, missiles, drones, probes, and calling it without a hitch? Planning walking in stations for years= quickest development ever?

Ms Freak You are 100% spot on.
If you like what i have to say can you please add it to the main post so it doesnt get lost in all the other posts.
First i have looked at every single post made in all of the "patch is bad mkay" threads.
A suggestion for CCP if you are looking to make money from the AUR store think of these options.
1) Sell a complete skill point reset for real $$ equiv of $45 This would mean you lose ALL injected skills including the BOOKs so there is a negative to doing this.
2) Sell a COMPLETE faction standing reset for real $$ equiv of $45 This would also mean you lose ALL standings so any faction/npc standings BAR sec status get set to 0.00
3) Change the CERTIFICATE system to have "pilot" quals. IE interceptor pilot, logistics pilot, battleship pilot and then have some mixed categories. IE Spec ops master and so on where a number of single ship type certs are needed. Then when a player unlocks this cert it unlocks a uniform in their choice of color in the NEX store for a purchase price of around $3-4 Then people have a reason to show off and its not expencive.
4) Give people a std wardrobe with 5 slots (shirts, pants, boots) of which you can mix and match as you see fit. Then offer MORE wardrobe slots for $5 each
5) give people fish tanks, bed sheets picture frames, pinball machines and even awards to hang on their CQ walls
6) have a larger range of clothes having 6 items at a major patch launch is a pretty big joke.
7) add custom ship SKINS NOT new ships so if guys want to have their scorp look cool they can buy a $5-$10 ship skin that is then always even after the ship is destroyed every scorp you buy would be fitted with the same skin. Even have multipul skins.
8) add custom ship paint schemes that you could pick from a std list of color types for each skin.
9) Add the ablilty to buy a BIGGER CQ for $5-$100 where as you scale up you add a bigger room or add extra rooms.
These are just some ideas of things that everyone i have spoken to has been talking about.
Ships/ammo/implants should NEVER be sold. a sandbox is a sandbox everything made in every is made by players (or as much as possible) These are just some ideas feel free to comment

I already posted about this, but it probably got lost in the threadnaught about Zulu's blog. In the hope this thread will not go the same way, and this will actually be read by CCP, I will just quote the relevant part of my post:
Quote: The prices of the items that are currently in the NeX store don't equate to $1000 jeans, as is the analogy given. The 'Sterling' Dress Shirt, for example, is 3600 AUR. 1 Plex converts to 3500 AUR. Plexs, on the market where my character is, range from 370-470m ISK. I can get a Raven battleship, in the region where my character is at, for under 100m. So, actually, if you think of a Raven as decent mid-range car, this shirt is like a pair of jeans that costs more than three times what you paid for your car, which, unless you got one hell of a deal on your car, is much, much more than $1000.

Edited by: Carmoisine Bavaire on 25/06/2011 12:03:44 -1 This whole tread is like a kid pretending to be an adult, by speaking in propper words and stuff, but failing to see that he is still a petulant child wanting his icecream. CQ is fully optional, ship spinning is out, deal with it or quit. If spinning was your game, im sure there are others out there that provide that exact thingy..maybe even for free. If a Monockle cost the same as 24 hours of playtime, it wouldnt be special, everybody would have one, and it would be past lame before the end of this week. Exclusivety increases value. You appear to be afraid that CCP will waste the hundreds of thousands of dollars they spend to keep theire economics department running, just to sell fully fitted with 10 T2 launchers Hello Kitty Ravens for a few hundred dollar. Or, you are unaware that when this muckstorm broke loose most icelanders were either drunk, getting drunk or very married, as it was near midnight saturday night, Iceland time. Did you expect them to throw a boardmeeting cause you have tantrums ?
If you found anything CCP Zulu wrote was insulting and degrading you seriously needs to grow a pair. CQ sucks i give you that, I turned it off, nolonger a problem. You seem to have a problem with doors...call a shrink.
Ohh and they fixed a scanning bug, but introduced some new ones, they will probably be fixed too. After all this was the least ****uppy patch ive experienced. CCP Communications is way above par for the industry, its at times really really good. And it is only insulting to ppl who can be insulted by a cat looking at them. And it is nothing if not controlled.
And the Turrets, youre dead wrong there too. I want my 1400s back, not this transformer inspired Lego PoS.

Excellent OP.
As to CCP's efforts at fire-fighting so far: Penns's post was a good start IMO, Zulu's usual two-brick diplomacy massively undid any good will that generated.
As other players have said, we love your game CCP but at the moment it seems you do not. Please pull your collective finger out!

Very good topic. Very clear and accurate.
Theres not much more we can do for now except rage across the threads and in game hoping our voice is heard. Once CCP gives a definitive response I think I'll probably be unsubbing but until then I'll be posting in the hopes that they listen to their (ex?) fans and save this great game.
They have just burnt the bridges between themselves and us. It will take time for them to regain our trust but I hope they have the intelligence to try. Bringing in MT will kill this game.
Hah and to think people used to point out that this is one of the only MMOs to have a constantly growing subscriber base since launch.

A point nobody has addressed so far is this:
What makes Eve different is that it is _hard_. It is very mathematical, it needs serious work to compute best trade/fitting/etc. The client base is overwhelmingly male (more so than annoy other MMO) (this is not a judgement in any way but is, as I understand it, a fact) and I suspect older. They are the original techno-geeks.
They like the hard work of getting it right. They like the open ended nature of the game play. They like the multiple avenues to success. They hate being condescended to or being treated like dirt.
They do not like looking pretty, or add-ons that not give added game play.
CQ adds nothing to game play at this time, but come DUST maybe it will.
What is disturbing is that so many players can no longer run the game on their chosen platform.
CCP has treated its players badly but hopefully they will learn
The game is still worth playing, it is better than the organisation that created it.
Play on....

Sitrep
CCP, you just released about $2.5m worth of work and it's been poorly received.
This is because:
- Eve is a game about spaceships. - Activities revolve around or contribute to the spaceships. - Incarna adds nothing to the spaceship game you have created. - There isn't enough "game" in Incarna for it to stand as a leap beyond the spaceships. - A lot of people are angry because you've put off other important spaceship improvements for this feature.
