Hi I just tried to patch from 3366 to 3538 and I'm getting an error telling me splatt2.jpg is missing from CCP\EVE\res\ and its true I looked and it aint there  . Don't suppose anyone knows where I can get it???

HOW DO I DELETE IT?  DIE you file DIE!! get off my screen stop bothering me please! im deleting TONS of thing off my computer, nothing is using it!! bittorrent experts please help me! ;.( it made a file on my desktop and it wont delete, i get the message above

About 1/3 of the traffic to zurvan's link is still going to the 100Mbit/s box due to changing the DNS to shift it to another box, but it's dropping off quickly now as people are managing to get it and re-mirror it (dropped to about 25-30Mbit now)
A direct link for the same 1000Mbit/s accelerator as is being published in DNS for blob.co.uk is...

Look 68MB down load really sucks for us 56k modem users. I canceled the download when it jumped to 12 hours.
ONCE AGAIN like last patch, and the one before that, and the one before that. SELL US A FRIGGING CD PLEASE!!!!!!!!

hi i posted this earlier and the response from isd was to post it here (thanks for the help isd ) ( i have also deleted mty cache which made no differ!nce at all !
I downloaded and installed the patch, now when I try to open eve, the pop up screen with " eve on-line, cold war edition" appears but then immediately disappears,and nothing else happens
any help on how I can open eve now ?

indigo double click it it self installs if you used default location with the orig full version

Sorry if this has been asked before but there's too many pages to read thru at this time of night...Can someone tell me what the latest version is supposed to be? All downloads seem to say that 2.05.3366 to 2.06.3538 is the latest one but mine says incompatible and is already 3538.
so from the site:
***Patches version 2.05.3366 (Released 2005.04.12) to 2.06.3538 68.2 MB ***
which says to me that 3528 is the latest but released in april. So, i'm clearly reading it wrong, what should the version be or how do you read the release date (as above)?

S1ren,it should be evepatch3366-3538,maybe you had a bad install id hate to say re DL but its all i can think of ,if you didnt try the torrent give it a try

I think it's quite obvious that 2.06.3538 is the latest release, and about equaly obvious it was released today.
2.05.3366 on the other hand, was released on the mentioned date.
If you have the newest version and it still says incompatible I'm afraid you might have had a mishap while patching, try rebooting and clearing out parts of your eve cache, if nothing else helpse I'm afraid you'll have to reinstall tho.

You can't easily I'm afraid and you'll also find a 0 kb file in the directory where you download to as well.
If you're using FAT boot up into MSDOS (hit F8) and go into Command mode and delete manually.
For NTFS there's a product called ERD Commander (it's commercial, so you may need to hunt for a freeware package that allows direct access to NTFS files) then delete from the download directory and desktop. The recovery console doesn't work btw, as it only allows deletions in the Windows directory.
There may be other ways, but ERD type programs are the easiest to use.

I had that problem too, and here's what worked for me.
1) Open a command prompt in the directory of the file
2) Close all open programs and windows, except the command prompt
3) Using Task Manager, End the EXPLORER.EXE process (That was what was locking the undeletable files for me)
4) close task manager
5) delete the file using the command prompt
6) reboot your computer
If you don't understand this process I described, try to find someone who does.

somehow my account was disabled and couldn't log on, so I had to reinstall eve from the CD. But it is so damn hard to find a working evepatch934-3538. After a lot of cursing on CCP I found a mirror somewhere, but the file was corrupt. So now I have to DL it from the official site again. This one better be a working one.

Okay, once again.
Tried to download the patch via game. No dice, failed to validate after downloading some puny amount.
Tried to download the patch via Eve website (including the second London mirror which turned up a 404). No dice. Server connection resets before I get even five megs. Yeah, real professional.
Downloaded one via a third-party mirror. Successful download. FAILED checksum. FAILED to install.
Would you people please get your act together and act like a commercial software shop that has been in business for more than two years, instead of like some jackass linux outfit running out of someone's basement? Do you think that might be possible? Do you think that perhaps, just perhaps maybe, putting a critical patch (i.e., one without which your customers are denied service) on a RELIABLE server(s) would be a good idea?
Downloading two instances now from two separate sites.
If I were running dialup, I'd be hot right about now.
