Hello,
Been using EFT for quite a long time - very awesome and useful tool.
One thing I noticed:
Under the affected skills for ships, it show all 4 types of sensor compensation skills (Gravimetric, Ladar, Magnetometric, Radar) while only one of those sensor compensation skills will affect a ship.

Not sure how, but it appears that I somehow trashed my config.ini file. Can I just copy a fresh one into the folder and will it pick up my characters and fittings?

I finally got it to run, but it isn't picking up my characters skills now. I rechecked the API but it is only picking up a few of the skills.....

Thanks for such a great program.
With the latest version I noticed that I cant determine the cargohold capacity any more. It used to be displayed. Is this something I have to reactivate somewhere or has this feature been removed. |

EDIT: i installed into a new folder on my desktop and i can now add modules to a build. So i tried to copy and paste my old "ship.cfg" files in the setup folder, closed eft and boom they disappeared from the setups folder before my eyes. WTF, how the hell did that happen. Recommended way to update rescribed in FAQ.txt. Also it is generally a bad idea to manipulate files of any application without exiting it first. |

If you attemp to drag and drop module you need to drag it to correct (low) slot. If you don't have enough CPU you are probably confuse Adaptive Nano Plating with Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane.

Most ships have all but their racial sensor strengths at zero so skill effects are not visible but if you use low-grade implant sets which give bonus to sensor strength you could see an effect from those skills.

When you say combining instances what do you mean? Copying over your old fits? The instructions are in the FAQ.txt at the root of your install.

That should work - EFT has all of its info locally, so if you unzip to the flash then you'd always have it with you. Good thought on how to walk them back and forth work to home.

In EFT you get the values for "optimal" + "falloff" individually, they are not added. If you look at your guns attributes, you will see the values for optimal and falloff respectively, they will fit with the EFT values.
Although, 59+98 = 157. That is 3km more than 154. This is probably because of rounding. 59 is probably something like 58.5 and falloff values seems to be rounded downwards in the game (9600m falloff counts as 9km) while in EFT I guess it rounds up, but I didn't check because I am lazy right now. |

Found a bug: Change affecting skill menu on a dampener fitted to a Keres does not list Gallente Frigate although it impacts dampener performance. Dampener stats are calculated correctly though.

Ugh, yet another shady looking download site. Maybe you could upload this file to the Nexus network. The used to only cater to a select few games like Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas but now they have opened things up to just about any game. You would have to submit EVE Online as a game to be added. If they approve (I don't see why they wouldn't) You could put this utility on there, and other EVE utility makers could do the same thing. The site has been a little iffy since they just restructured things to cater to a wider variety of games, but it they are ironing out the wrinkles and it should be quite stable in time.
