Courious to see what people think is the most worthwhile skill they've ever trained to lvl 5.
For me it has to Energy System Op 5. This little 5% to cap has done so many wonders for me in combat trying to count them all would be impossible.

There are 11 that come to mind. 
Oh, and if you liked Energy Systems Operation 5....Energy Management 5 is actually better.

Learning skills; they work for me nonstop.
Covert Ops V: perhaps the biggest efficiency increase (in this case CPU) of any skill out there.

Besides the learning skills i have at 5 atm id say Amarr Cruiser/Amarr BS 5.
The HAC ships are awesome fun to fly, im tempted to train another race though i might just get specialised with the zealot instead, not decided yet 
Amarr BS 5 is sooo cool, it means my lasers are super efficient and I have 7500 cap on my Apoc.  . It also makes the geddon fairly lethal

Makes for a lot of people going  didn't know and <race, shiptype> could fly like that. 
Of course the gunnery and missile skills are very helpfull as well in making people react like that.

I've 3 different accounts, each of them has got L5 skills that the others don't have, but they're so important to that specific character.
On one of my characters, getting covert ops 5 was the best. It provides the best benefit of any L5 skill.
On Rodge, it's got to be the list of L5 skills combined that allow me to use my 425 IIs
On my other PvP character, getting rockets 5 for RL IIs was sweet, but recently the addition of armoured warfare 5 has been gladly accepted by anyone in any gang I fly with (10% armour boost 4TW!!!)

Been in game about 40 days, and I'm working on getting my base learning abilites all from 4 to 5, and have the higher learning skills ready to train. (Course not playing with Charisma. Wonder why.)
Question for you all -- since they don't say, what skills do the ship command skillbooks increase? For instance, what does Battleship V get you over I? Same for the others like frigate?

BS lvl V gets you maxed bonus when you fly your ship :
Tempest : +5% Large projectile turret damage and +5% rate of fire per minnmatar battleship skill level

- Drones 5 -> kinda "being able to control 9 instead of only 4 drones"

- fitting skills
oh and a worthless one too ofc:
- Propulsion Jamming 5 -> always reminds me to never learn a skill for changes that were only supposed to get on TQ. I can anchor a large bubble tho, no wait, those are not ingame, right?

many come to mind, these should be a requirement for everyone, pirate or carebear :
learning skills, all of them
electronics, engineering, gunnery (cause even carebears need to shot a shot now or then), navigation, spaceship command, Drones (for allmost everyone), energy sys operation and mechanic.
All short training and help everyone in some way. I personally like my frig to lvl 5 and leadership skills, oh yeah and heavy drones (DAMN YOU CCP FOR NERFING EVERYTHING).
and guys if it takes 40+ days for you to get the bs to lvl 5....then you are doing something wrong
