There are enough alternatives to abolish this hypocrite form of ISK for money.

Think it's better for the game to try to keep it 'clean'. ( Once this 'battle' is lost, I might reconsider and do what's best for me. I prefer to adapt to new rules, even if I don't like them. )

edit: its pretty discouraging on the number of reads and no one posting. I think its everyone's gaming duty to chose whether you feel this is legit or not. You know the facts... make a choice.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THE PROIBLEM TO ME...

Perhaps the low number of responses, and high number of reads is the people making a choice?

Well... I'm trying to get a clear picture as to what the majority of players here lean towards. As for what a dev would do with the info... thats not for me to decide.

I'll tell you the problem
My team works hard to accomplish things. EVE is a very competative environment and ISK is the oil to run the engines. If someone can just cheat in this competition by converting GTCs he bought into ISK, where is the fun of 'online gaming'? There isnt any, and the game becomes a waste of time for ppl that want to play the game how its meant to be, cause real game efford wont lead to anywhere..
Do I have lots of ISK ingame? hell no. I gather and spend it constantly, having fun in doing both, especially spending it to beat up my enemies. Now if my competitor can replace his losses with RL money why do we even play EVE, lets all buy ISK and call it eve-Bay Online!
U might think I dont have any cash in RL, I can assure you that I could get couple bils of ISK into my wallet without any problem every month; did I now win the game? no I definetly cheated.
Anyone supporting converting GTCs into ISK is either one of those cheaters him self or cant afford 15$/EUR a month. I got 2 things to say for this: Get a frikin job (worst job would pay u 1$/h ) or get the **** out u lamer..
Note: Next time try to type my name correctly Shia Dai, I'm kinda tired of "kumming" all over the place!

even if you get 100 'signatures' - which would be very impressive, of course - it'd only be less than 1% of the player population. so how can you expect this to work? it's getting locked, the Mods will post a nice explanation as to why - but it's mainly juvenile, is this 'petition' tihng.
ps, i hope the nice explanation is in a pink font

If I can get an explanation as to why its fair for a guy to sell timecards and rollup ingame isk faster than players who have been playing over two years!... then I'll love to read that in BOLD PINK LETTERS!
If they can explaine to THOUSANDS of players how they spent THOUSANDS of hours to make their isk... thats this is FAIR... then please... PINK me.

gah. it doesn't have to be FAIR. It's CCP's world, they can technically do as they please in regards to running the game.

True... but seeing as to almost every patch and nerf has been to make a "fairer" gaming environment, I'd think CCP would consider my FAIR argument.

Allowing ebaying is FAIR to people who don't have much time to play. (No, not my view, but VERY arguable)
FAIR is in the eye of your bias. One way or another.

i'm FAIRly tired - got work tomoro, and it's 3am. i tihnk this is pointless, cos it's gonna get locked. on the other hand, it may not. so if this hasn't been locked when i wake up tomoro, you can have 5m ISK. i really think it won't happen

So your argument can be true... but fairness here has to be based on how the original standards were set and how thousands committed their time and money to get to where they are with the rules they were given. To change something so drastic, as to allow GTCs for isk and legalize it, is beyond me.
If you don't have the time to play??? Does that really make it an arguable comment? I know its not your view, but to put it in perspective... how about telling your boss you don't have time to work?
This is a small issue now. Not many are doing it, and I kind of feel sad for those spending real cash for ingame isk. Its pretty lame if you ask me. But, the advantage they get over the majority of those putting in the time is extreme. I'm sure there were people buying isk for cash before, however it was a banable offense. Now, there is no repercussions... more and more will do it... and Eve will no longer become a dedication and effort game.
I'm looking out for a game we all love and enjoy. If you think this is okay, its only the beginning. The purity of the game will be gone.

Before voting, consider these two options.
Option 1: CCP stops allowing transfers of time cards. This means people who want to buy ISK will have to find another way. Who here doesnÆt think they will be able to? In the meantime CCP is getting less money from tie card sales and spending more resources trying to enforce its no e-baying policy.
Option 2: CCP leaves the policy as is. CCP makes money off time card sales. Players who canÆt spend as much time on-line as others can now afford some shiny new things (and will be willing to pay more for all that loot you ôseriousö gamers get.)
IÆll take option 2 thanks. Trying to keep the secondary market under wraps is a foolÆs errand and CCP knows it. The time card option is a fairly creative solution to a problem that isnÆt going to go away, Kind of like if the US or UK legalized hash bars.

Not that CCP care as they are quite intent on getting money off noobs by ruining EVE for the old players.
I don't think you trust in my self-righteous suicide. |

Originally by: Lord Frost I'm not opposed to the card option... CCP can sell as many cards as they like, when it affects the ingame environment, then it crosses the line. Basically, a noob can make enough isk to buy a t2 bpo after all the thousdands of hours we all put in to try to get one the legit way. Talk about a slap in the face.
It doesnt affect the in game environment. No additional isk is being generated by the time cards.
The isk that is changing hands was already "in play" as it has been earnt, in most cases, legitimately. For that noob to buy a t2 BPO, there has to be another player willing to give that cash up for his timecard. its not like the isk is coming out of thin air.
That's about the worst reasoning I have ever heard.
Yes, I'm sure that guy spending isk for tiemcards "earned" his isk... how did the other lad "earn" his isk? Hmmmm... selling a timecard which he bought for real cash. Is that the future of "earning" in Eve?
btw, I love the term Eve-Bay... I have to give credit to the guy with that one.

I hate signed threads and even im getting in on this one. I mean really they nerfed bounties to hell and back to cause a deflation in prices of things and now as time goes on more and more people are going to get in on this and DRIVE prices up for people who actually play the game in a fair way. Its not that bad right now but like i said as more people jump in on this its only going to get worse...lets put this djin back in the bottle while we still have time......signed AGAIN...
