In the northern hemisphere, July is a time for warm weather, taking vacations, and snapping photos of all the gorgeous places you're visiting. And while New Eden is hot in the west right now (topical!), the Sisters of EVE and the Illuminati Team are bringing you an all new event for the July month that will cause you to break out your camera drones.
In this new dev blog, we introduce the Sanctuary Image Contest, a chance to get out and explore space and earn some cool stuff for your troubles, plus get a chance to leave a permanent mark on New Eden.
The first week of submissions goes here.

Interesting. I'm slightly surprised that CCP is using someone else's image hosting site. Good that the "not invented here" bias didn't prevent CCP from using a good product.

A contest that actually looks interesting! No alliance voting blocks. Exploration in the sense of looking around EVE (not the mini-games).
It looks like the entries will be limited to one per account but a clear statement might be best. |

So just to be sure I understand, we need our pictures with the UI showing? Because they won't look as great D= Although I understand why you need the UI there...
Either way I will be giving all of these a shot! It's an interesting concept
Edit: Just to add on this, could we submit the gallery with both UI showing and UI hidden? So 20 pictures in total per group? |

Correct yes, each tier can only be completed once per account.

Please just create 2 separate galleries - one for you and one for us  Vetting the entries is gonna be tough enough as it is! Feel free to share your UI hidden gallery in this thread though, because I'm sure it will be very pretty!

Specified order would help tremendously. At least please label the pics so we know what we're looking at :)
The only UI elements that need to show are the ones we have asked for.

This is great! I already have several of the Group 1 images from previous screenshot excursions, but it will be fun to do again. Great to see the Sisters of Eve are promoting interstellar tourism. |

for Group 2, my suggestions:
Goon station in B-DBYQ (uncloaked and less than 10k from the undock)
Mr Vee Absolution in combat (this one must be taken from a expensive fitted T3 ship, uncloak and from less than 30k from him)
DBRB body in space surrounded by at least 100 TFI or tengu recs (this one is easy)
Nice to see the live events coming back

So, what is we can;t join the "Sanctuary Image Contest" chat channel because it's full? Will another one be oepened?
Cause each time I try joining to start takign pics I get this:
"You cannot join the channel because it is overloaded. Due to scalability issues, at most 50 users are allowed at any given time on a channel that is configured with Immediate-mode memberlist management." |
