This might have been covered, but just to be clear:
Only your corp standing matters if you have no personal standing to the NPC corp. In my case my corp standing with Minstry of Internal Order was 8.55, and I had no personal standing with them at all. Only 0.22 with the Amarr empire faction. I was able to install a jump clone.
I guess the lession is to have one person run missions for a NPC corp no one has standing with. No one else works for that corp, then when the standing is up, the whole corp can use jump clones.
Better than that whole one-man corp thing. -- My drones are about as smart as a smartbomb. |

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for when I did my google search!
If some one hasn't mentioned this yet (I don't think I saw it. There is just one thing you might want to add to the guide, and that's how much the clones cost. I will soon find out, but it would be nice to know in advance!

Mine were 100k each, BUT beware, you don't get a price warning like you do when you buy a clone. So you don't know how much you paid until afterwards when you check your wallet.
I'm bug reporting this. -- My drones are about as smart as a smartbomb. |

Originally by: CptEagle So, basicly I can forget setting jump clone up in an NPC station coz you need the +8 corp standing.
Correct me if I'm missing something here... but all you need is a standing of 8.0 with just one npc station, or have a 8.0 standing with a player controlled (conquerable) station.
The only thing what you need the 8.0 standing for is the ability to buy a jumpclone, not to actually jump which is free of charge or standing requirements.
So as long as you got a source of jumpclones, you can set up jumpclones whereever you want. All you need to do is fly a clone to wherever you like and then jump back to your jumpclone source station. You will leave that clone behind and you're able to jump back to it in the future, no matter your standings.
Edit. Ofcourse you need to buy a new clone at the jumpclone source each time you like to set up a new jumpclone. And the amount of jumpclones is ofc limited by your skill level.

Nice post, should have been a ccp thread.
Anyway, I'm thick, ok?
So, I don't get it, even after reading the full 5 pages.
I'm in a noob corp. I have high stndings with only 1 corp (astral mining inc) that is part of gallente faction and they have cloning facilities. So, if I get my standings towards AM inc to +8.0 can I install a jump clone in one of their facilities (even though I have no idea about THEIR standings towards my noob corp - FNA, also part of gallente faction-)
Also, if I understand correct, this except from being an 'implant insurance' for my trips to low sec, will make it much easier to put a clone in 0.0: I will use my new clone made at AM Inc to travel to 0.0 and there buy a clone in a pc station, riht?
Only thing I should be aware of as I see it is make sure to NOT buy my first jump clone in the same (astral mining inc) station which now holds my 'main' clone, riht?
Ok, one last thing: Lets say I did all that and I now have 1 clone in 0.8 (my main), 1 clone in 0.3 (my first jump clone) and 1 clone in 0.0 (2nd jump clone). And i'm flying around in my 0.3 clone and I get podded. Will I 'appear' in my 0.8 clone station or my 0.3 clone station? Will I have to buy a new 0.8 main clone (probably) AND also a new 0.3 jump clone (I'm in a loss about this)??
Thanks, and a mil isk to the first one to answer correctly and in a manner I can understand (careful there, I' thick remember?)

Can you get clones in a noob corp? No. Do jump clones have anything to do with being podded? No.

Clear, concise, perfect answer. Thanks man
P.S. Was it the same 'answer' you edited in the other post or something even better?

Edited by: Flukey on 13/02/2006 13:45:32 Very recently came back to EVE and i'm intrigued by the jumpclones, just 1 thing i'm not totally sure about. Say if i have 8.0 personal and corp standing with Lai Dai i then decide to move to another corp in the future, however they don't have the 8.0 required with Lai Dai. My Jumpclone is sat in some Lai Dai factory will i still be able to jump to it or will i have to move it elsewhere?
Apologies if this has already been answered . Thanks in advance.

You only need standing to /create/ a jump clone. Once it exists, you can do whatever you like with it.

Ok thanks Joerd.
The quote below from the EVE Manual had just confused me a bit! It seemed contradictory to what had been said in this player guide.
"Jumping to stations is also possible but Faction owned stations do not allow jumping to them unless the minimum 8.0 corporation and personal standings requirements are met. Outposts and Conquerable Stations standings prerequisites are controlled by their owner. Only one (1) jump per 24 hours is allowed to prevent serious mental and physical harm to the mind and bodies. You have to have visited the location you want to jump to and install a clone there."

The way it works is that you can jump to any existing jump clone from anywhere, and when you jump to a new clone, you leave the old one where it is. Thus you buy one in a 0.0 station, fly to wherever you want to set one up, and jump back to the 0.0 station. You now have one active jump clone, and it's in the location you jumped from. Rinse and repeat as many times as your skill level allows

Having a problem getting a jump clone. I have a personal standing with Home Guard over 9, yet when I try and get a jump clone it tells me that Home guard doesn't like me. Am I missing something? Is it because Im gallente and this is in Caldari space?

Edited by: trust trd on 14/02/2006 22:50:53 I read every post and want to thank everyone for all the information. I do have 2 more questions where I could not find answers though...
1. I heard if you create a one man corp your new corp standing is lower then your personal standing with the NPC corp. Is this true? If so, what personal standing do i need so my 1 man corp standing is 8.00? Or is the corp standing lower only because it is not taking into accout your skills that raise your standing?
2. I heard not all NPC corps have clone stations. What is the easiest way to find out if your NPC corp has clone stations and their locations?

Personal and corp. Your personal standing from the NPC corp must be 8.0+ and your corp standing from the NPC corp must be 8.0+

1) It starts off around the same but decreases over time 2) Not sure of an easy and comprehensive way of doing that

k...shoot me if I'm stupid but: I'm currently 8+ with Fed Navy, but my corp is way off (2.6). Can I: Leave corp and make my own corp, then set up jump clones. Then disband my one man corp, and move back to my old corp and still use the jump clones I made in my one man corp?

Here's my situation.
I am in an NPC corp. I have a 9.0 standing with Astral mining. As far as I can tell, Astral mining does not offer medical services. Is it impossible for me to install jump clones?
Can I have multiple jump clones set up, with multiple implant sets in all of them? Can I have low grade snake in one clone and low grade crystal in another?
Just to be sure, say I have morphology to 1. I install a jump clone. I now have 3 clones; the one I am in, the one I can jump to, and the one that's a back up incase I get podded. I will always go back to the clone serving as a backup in the event of podding and I will not go back to the clone that previously served as my body, unless I jump to it?
So even if I have a jump clone, I always have to have a back up clone updated in the event of podding, to preserve skill poitns?

If you are looking to set up a jump clone, and need faction, check out FACTION, Inc. This corp will let you join just to set up a jump clone. You can immediately quit and rejoin your original corp after your jump clone is positioned. Also, FACTION, Inc will assist in running YOUR missions to help you get your faction to 8.0 if needed.
FACTION, Inc has 8.0+ faction with Home Guard, and is presently working on Spacelane Patrol and Lai Dai. Others will be added in order of customer demands. Place yourself on the list ASAP.
For the easiest walk-through of actually setting up a jump clone, send me an Eve-mail! (certain fees and restrictions apply)

Situation:
I have a jump clone in a conquerable station. Waht happens if the station will taken over by a hostile corp / alliance?
can they remove my Jumpclone? or will he stay there forever?
p.s. i know that they can set service access. And i also know that i¦m not able to use cloning services if that happens ___________________________________________ A wise man said once: 'Violence is the escape of the mentaly poor guys.'

Not a problem, my standings with Emperor Family was 8+ but my one man corp standings were <8. Personal standings are increased by skills, corp standings aren't. So rather than run more missions to get the corp standings up, I resigned as CEO and automatically got assigned to noob corp Viziam. I then created two jump clones in two Emperor Family stations. Now I'm free to form another one man corp or join any other corp, my clones are already in place and ready for use.
My question is, now if I fly to say for example ISS Marginis, will I be able to jump back to either of my clones in Empire? If so this would automatically create a jump target at Marginis without needing ISS to set standings to me. Or would I need pay ISS to set standings for me to jump back to empire?
Cheers

Question: It should be possible to install a jump clone in a station, go elsewhere, jump to the jump clone, and immediately install another jump clone, correct? And then possibly repeating?

Yep, since you'll be leaving a clone in Marginis, it'll be just like any other JC target. You'll only need ISS standings to create one there.
You can park a body anywhere, even in stations w/o clone vats. -- Originally by: David Sinclair Drone AI has been upgraded. They are now demanding a vote in the target decision-making process, as well as newer, better upholstered drone bays.

Thanks, so technically it can be done. My guess is the player owned station management can destroy the jump clone if it wasn't "paid for", otherwise it would be a big loophole to get free jump clones in any player owned outpost with public access - ISS, Trust, Bluepill etc

I noticed a few posts along the lines of... "My standing after the connections skill is taken into account is higher than 8 with the Fed Navy. But I still cannot install a clone in a Fed Navy station?"
I'm in exactly the same position. It appears the basic standing before skills has to be 8+.

My real life friend has created his own corp just to get jumpclones and offering this services to anyone for 15 mil to get jumpclones without the need of having the standing on their own. Please check out his sales thread http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=301962&page=1#9.

I'm confused. I am about to join a corp in a 0.0 alliance that has an outpost with medical service. Let's say I am in empire and I setup my clone contract to be in the outpost remotely (from empire), and then do the old fashioned clone jump (self-destruct).
Now I am in the outpost, and assuming they sort out my standings I can create a jump clone. So I buy a jump clone and after that I setup my clone contract to be in an empire station and do the old fashioned clone jump again.
Now I am back in empire with a jump clone in 0.0 outpost, so I buy a load of implants and plug them in. Can I then activate the jump clone (thats in 0.0 outpost) and then appear in 0.0 outpost (without the implants) ? Then if what I read is correct I will have a jump clone in the empire station I was just in ? And if I move my clone contract to another outpost in 0.0 (or empire or whereever) and buy another jump clone in the original outpost, I can then activate jump clone(s) to move from 0.0 to empire and back every 24 hours (if I wanted to) ?

You are correct.
I provide a Jumpclone service, For more details read my Advertisment For more info check my BIO, in EVE. Or drop by in the channel "Dark Reality" for questions or to chat with other customers.
Please people take a good look, because alot of people don't realize the potential of jumpclones.
basicly it comes to, that you can have multiple pods/body's each holding it's own implant's. In systems where you want them to be, so you can jump to them when you feel like it.
Fly safe,
