Ok I have a question that hopefully someone will be able to explain to me. I have set up a jump clone in 0.0 space and have a regular medical clone in 0.8 space. If I'm in 1.0(for example only) and jump clone back to 0.0 that makes my clone in 1.0 space my jump clone now. Say I get podded in 0.0 space I will spawn in my medical clone in 0.8 space correct? that much I understand right? Ok, now I jumpclone again, where would I show up? In 1.0 space right? If so and jump clone again would I show up in 0.8 space? I know this is a lengthy question and for that I'm sorry. But its the best way I know to explain the situation. Any ideas?

Create a jump clone in say 0.5 then a jump clone in another station in say 0.0, you can then activate your jump clone from where ever you want and choose either 0.5 or 0.0. If you get podded in 0.0 you will respawn where every your normal medical clone is and you can then jump back to which ever jump clone you want or just fly aroud as you are until you want to jump again.

I get the whole 8.0 personal and corporate standing thing - but how does it work if you're in an NPC corp (non-newb school, like Viziam)?

I believe that was already mentioned... it should work since it would then have to deal with the players standings.

Hm...
The thing with the jump clones in 0.0, 0.8 and a medical ones on a station in 0.5 (numbers just for fun) is clear.. If you get PODDED in a jump clone (active body) in 0.0, you'll wake up in your medical clone, as normal, so you "virtually" traveled IN your jump clone from where you had been podded to the station where your medical clone was set up. The normal behaivior now should be ;) that you BUY a NEW medical clone and travel along with the "old" medical Clone, now active body, possible new jump clone traget if you jump to the 0.8 clone.. So if you NOW want a jump clone again in 0.0, you NATURALLY have to travel the distance back to 0.0 you made by being podkilled and medically emergency cloned in 0.5 ;)
Easy as that :D
However, it's another QUESTION that makes me posting here.. one I havn't found a answer on yet :( But I really wan't to know this.. please anyone? :)
There are offers of Mission-Runner Corps, where you can join temporarely IF you'd never used THEIR npc-corp where they have a +8.0 Standing towards, so that you get this standing if ya join them and are able to create jumpclones. BUT, wouldn't it work too, if only ONE Member of my actual corp does a +8.0 standing and NO OTHER member of my corp has anything to do with this single npc-corp, where just one flies missions for (in our corp standings it looks like it's working)?! I mean, where IS the difference here.. except for, that at those offering Player corps are more than one with that personal +8.0 standing?!
I ask, because everywhere I can read something about personal standing AND corp standing.. but then those jump-clone-offering-corps wouldn't have a business-base?! Do i miss here something!?
Thanks in advance! Tres

Try to set your medical clone to a 0.0 station near where you are usually flying. When POD'ed you'll be send to that staion and you can get a new med clone. That way you won't have to fly back to that station :P

If one member has a standing of +8 to a certain NPC corp and none of your corp members has done any mission for that corp your corp-standings will be the same as the standings of that single member (will take a few days though) So your whole corp will be able to set-up jumpclones at that NPC-corp it's stations.

That's a real good news for me an my corp-mates.. thx a lot :)
And that thing, about moving the medical-clone near to your actual active-body/jump-clone.. jep, that's the solution. Thanks for pointing that out to me too :)

Hi,
I see alot of fellow gamers still got alot of question about jump clones. We provide a service for players who not have te ability to set them with their own standings to set them.
But we are more then happy even if your not using our service to answer any question about jump clones. Join ingame channel Dark Reality. Micang, Jan Riksma and I are mostly on after 18.00 eve-time. Do our timezone not match, no worries sent 1 of us an eve-mail.
In my sig there are a couple of links to our infopage (works in an out game) and to our thread on eve-o.
Ciao,

does this mean i dont need to find a NPC corp which has medical, noone else in my corp has touched, and ***** them to 8.0 anymore? can i finally get jumpcloens depending on my standing rather than my corps?

Yup, personal or corp (with Connections too!) only, not both.
So if you had corp standing of 7.0 to say Federation Navy, but you had personal of 9.0, you can install jump clones.
Equally, if your corp had 8.0 to Federation navy, but you only had 2.0, then you should be able to install jump clones.
Still need medical, still need Informorph Psychology.

Edited by: Delta Flyer on 17/12/2006 11:21:46 I like to create a jump clone that has all my implants But when creating one it says no implants
Why does it says no implant when the char I create the jump clone with has a full set of slave implants?
I dont dare try to jump to this clone since as I understand it I will loose my impants(they are still in my char and not in the jump clone)

When you make a clone it is a brand new body. Absolutely nothing is in it. What you want to do is jump to this new clone, this will leave your current body (with all your slave plants) in the station you jumped from (make sure you jump from a different station) as a jump clone in the list and you will wake up in the clean body (with no implants in your head) this is useful so you can pvp in the clean body.
Note: It is impossible just to make another clone that also has the implants, people would just throw themselves into combat willy-nilly with nothing to lose.

Yes with connections thats correct, connections raises YOUR personal standing with the NPC Corp. What you are confusing this with is that connections will not raise the Player Corp standing. For example:
Your standing is say 6.5 to NPC Corp, your connections skill is say level 3, but raises your effective standing to 7.2
As apres Revelations Patch 7.0 personal standing or corp standing = Jump Clone
Now your Player Corp standing will still be rated off your base standing of 6.5
Hope this helps, hence connections is your friend.

Is there Anyway to get around the +8 standing thing for us with -10 Sec I cannot use jump clones I dont have any NPc corp with +8 standing. So I either have to join an alliance to use their outpost OR Pod myself and lose my current implants to fit My other implants and thats ridiculous since not all of us want to do agents OR join a 0.0 alliance which basically Fecks us and forces me to Cb and do missions which i hate and would be extremely difficult with my security status or forces me to join a 0.0 Alliance or be in a corp with 0.0 station acess to be able to use jump clones and thats ghey.

I still don't get the standings bit.
Friend of mine has a corporation (1 person corp). He has personal AND corp standing of 9+ to the NPC peeps in station. Plus he has 9+ standing to Caldari in general.
I never did any missions or such for the NPC-corp, so had no standings towards them whatsoever.
I joined his corp.
I cannot create a jumpclone because my standings are too low.
Same goes for the level 4 agent, I cannot use that one either, although it has 9+ standing towards our corp and I never used an agent from his NPC-corp.
*sigh* Doing level 2 missions all over again to get my standing up :(

My corp and I are not old enough to have all aspects of play any where near completely grasped, so I'm hoping to get a little help/advice form you wiser players. we have spent the last few months grinding missions for wyirkomi and Transstellar shipping. we now have standings of 8+ but are finding neither corp has medical facilities. can we get jumpclones from them still now or are we idiots for grinding missions for these guys before finding out if they had any med bays? if we can not get them is there any easy way to find what corps do offer them? thanks in advance.

Invader Mors, sorry to say I think you are right. If you have checked every facility that those Corps own for medical services and find none, then you have no way to get jump clones with them. Fortunately, you are likely to have increased faction with another group while doing those missions so it will not be like starting from scratch. I feel for ya, though. __________________

I hope this incident is a warning to others how may not fully understand jump clones. I had the original character in empire and created a few jump clones. Jumped to and moved one of the clones to another empire station just before 0.0 Then took a further jump clone out to 0.0. This was lost to combat and reappeared into the original clone with all my implants etc all skills intact. Clone jumped back to a second jump clone nearer the front line and decicided to make this the respawn point. Installing another jump clone here to replace one I just lost. Next when in 0.0 my corp colleges require help in empire so self destructed ny jump clone as a fast way back and lost 1.1 million skill points off battleship 5. Can someone please make the information on HOW these clones work etc when you must upgrade etc very clear as the confusion I have come across has cost me another 23 days to get the skill back

Ditto for me as well. I wasn't too interested in clones before because I didn't have that good of implants. Now that I'm thinking of getting some better ones, I'd rather not lose them in combat. And seeing as it looks like the mechanics of jump cloning have changed since introduction, I don't want to learn up old info on it.
When you jump to a new body for PVP, is that treated as a new body so all of your learning implants are "removed" until you inhabit your old body again? This puts a bit of stress on the player. If you know you're going in for PVP, you can get in a combat clone. If you don't know in advance, you can find yourself in a combat situation with your main training clone. Yikes!

Edited by: Sahriah BloodStone on 25/03/2007 12:14:48 Yeah this is why it is wise to keep your main clones (with implants) in empire or if in a war let it stay in a station and use a jump clone while the war is on.
What happens with installing jump clones in ships i really have no idea how this works.

Yes, and no. You can do it, but the game only allows 1 "Jump Clone" per station, so one of them will be destroyed. Currently it looks as though the "target" clone is destroyed (Read here, I will update this as soon as more information becomes available)
Jump cloning in the same station is equivalent to destroying your jump clone. Your current clone stays active and you lose your target clone.

I think it should work but did some1 test it: I'm in station A with medical facility and I have standings->Install jump-clone->fly to station B without medical and without adequate standings-> clone jump to station A->fly to station C without medical and adequate standings. Can I perma clone jump between B and C although they both don't have medical and i don't have standings to owners of both?? All is in empire.
Thanks in advance.
