wahhhhhhhh quit crying, if everyone complained about something and ccp had to take it away then we wouldnt have a game at all .. i sudjest if your worried about being sniped you should stay in high sec with the rest of the carebears where you wont have to worry bout it...

just stateing a fact m8, ive been in game a long time so kiss my arse.. everyone has there own nitch to things..(each race) has ability to do certyain things better than others.. and there are plenty of ways around a snipe setup you just have to figure them out.. like i would tell, yeah right.. but anyhow.. as said before m8 no hard feelings here but stay in .5 or higher if your worried

OK, i'll change the "whining" to "excessive, hate-induced volume of complaints" ^^
This doesn't really answer the question though... i mean, why focus so much on doing something that you say don't even like, just so you kill a couple ships in blob (that you hate) and doesn't even matter to them in the end, given their numbers ... when you could be spending this time doing what you say you like, i.e. fighting small scale wars against other people who like the same sort of fighting you do? o.O;
(and no, don't tell me this is something that cannot be done in EVE nowadays, since there's people even in RKK who operate mostly solo and have no trouble finding the fights like that and getting the kills...)

totaly agree, snipeing is part of the game and just need to get used to it.. there are alot of things i dont care for that gives others advantage but i dont complain about it i except it and move on .. get some corp m8's together and have them set up in snipe setups and practice tactics till you get an effective counter.. its how you learn..

I agree that there are methods for countering sniping. More in humor of this thread I was responding. I think that it would be nice to have a way to press combat away from the gates, like a pursuit module for following in warp like fighter drones do. Just another lengthy thread with a few opinions, a few ideas, but not idea about what opinions match the devs'.

right on, instead of getting rid of the ammo or such so we cant sniope maybe add something along the lines of being able to follow for a short period of time, would make the snipers think a lil more about how there doing it..

The thing is the people who are experts snipers also tend to be the best pvpers in the game.Its not that they cant fight at close range but as Lifewire explained the changes made to sentry guns over time forced low sec pirates to snipe as the most effecient way of killing the maximum possible targets for the least risk.
Xpochoc was a great player.I believe I once lost a bs to him and his mate a very long tme ago.
And yes it is very annoying that u cant solo bs or elite industrials at range but u cant solo them at close range either if the guns are firing on u so wahts the point of close range? (Generally speaking - I have done both of these things but I'm uber)
If u reduced sentry gun damge and range to a more reasonable level I think u might see a lot of changes in the way pirates operate.

Pirates dont LIKE to snipe. Sniping is very much like mining, only the light effects are better. Regarding TDG, we would love to do more belt-hunting or cool mobile operations, but the sad truth is that only noobs go to astroid belts and all the traffic uses instas and stab-o-matics. So basically, dont blame us for using the most efficient way of killing you, we'd love to take the high-road, but right now it is the only way to go.

Mass-posting? Please tell me you're joking. Our forums have over 1,500+ registered users... 5 of them coming in and posting their thoughts on their own is blobbing the forums?
We get it, dude. You're a pirate and you gate snipe, congratulations. We don't care about this type of situation because we are rarely in low-sec. By your own arguement, do you think we'd care about someone sniping on a gate in low-sec? No, our "frigate blob" would be able to uncloak and warp before you'd even get a lock. The OP had absolutely nothing to do with people who snipe out of the range of the sentry guns. Get it through your head.
Your nerd-rage against blobbing is pretty entertaining, though.
