I have about 1.5bil in my wallet, 6 HACs in storage with mostly full faction fittings, 3 BSs, an alt with 2 BSs, and maybe 20 tech 2 frigates scattered around. I don't class this as rich. I once sold a timecard to buy a Cyclone BPO for my corp, which I ended up selling anyway, the rest has been made by good old mission farming and ratting. By no means is it hard to make money in this game, but by no means do you need to make money to play or enjoy it. I think your wallet is pretty much how you choose to have it. If you choose to be rich, the options are open to you, especially as a vet. Testy's Eve Blog!
Schinoble	Posted - 2006.04.07 09:52:00 - [93] only been playing 3-4 months now, have 100mill in wallet (200mill was most at any one time), about 50mill in minerals, another 30-40 mill placed in buy orders, 100mill worth of blueprints in research, and another potential 100mill + on a little manufacturing project i'm working on. Worked on a bit of trading, mining, fair of NPCing and manufacturing though..

Sold em, invested ingame etc. Now have around a constant 300mill with a much larger amount tied up in ships and investments etc. Money isn't as hard to get as it used to be. A billion is not that far off for anyone with a passion for missions, especialy when they start on the lvl4's. The newer players in my corp have in the main already aquired a 100mill in isk and a lot of isk in the head and spare ships. They are only 1-2 month old players and it shocked the hell out of me at how much isk they got in such a quick time. http://phaze9.moonmanstudio.com/

Captain Merkin	Posted - 2006.04.07 11:27:00 - [101] at the moment my wallet sits around 70 mil along with 10 - 15 interceptors, 8 - 10 assault frigs, 5 stealth bombers and cloaks, 4 covert ops and cloaks, a nicely fitted raven worth around 250mil and a tech 2 fitted scorp.. most of the ceptors and frigs are for use between jedrick and myself though.. I lost around 500 mil in assets and bpos moving base some months ago and getting butchered at a gate.. but nevermind all cans were blown up :) I have a load of stuff of value in stain and around 20 cruisers scattered around space that I dont care to go gather although most are still fitted with torps and cruise :) I dont consider myself rich but then again I do need cash really now I have everything I need for the forseeable future. also have 2 other accounts that do my trading and research now Proving natural selection and Charles Darwin wrong since 1981. I give away most of the money to friends. When I returned, I had about 1.5b and then got back to 4.1b before I quit for the 3rd time. I again give away 3b before I quit. Now I'm starting to play this game for the 4th time. Two weeks ago, I had about 1b in isk, 4 zealots, 2 vagabonds, 1 bhaalgorn, 1 nightmare, 14 apocs(I built them with minerals I got from missions but never got around to sell them), 3 Ishkur, 3 Enyo, and around 8 t2 BS worth of minerals. Now I have 2.8b isk, around 13 t2 BS worth of minerals and same number of ships. Honestly, the ability to make money is far more important than the actual isk in wallet. For any vets, if they want to make go make money, I'm pretty sure they can get around 1b within a month without too much problem. This is the key difference between vets and new players.
Hungry Eyes	Posted - 2006.04.07 12:56:00 - [108] ive played this since beta. but i kept quitting and coming back. you see, i have addiction problems, and every time i felt this stupid game taking over my life, id delete my toon. so ive had about 4-5 diff toons. right now, ive got this trial one, and i dont know if i want to re-subscribe. ive got about 10mill in my wallet, training amarr frig 5...400k sp the most ive ever had in my wallet is about 30mill, and i got that from a heist op with MF 2 or 3 years ago. that was on my oldest char, who is long gone now. tbh, i feel silly re-subscribing atm cuz there are so many ppl starving in this world firstly, and secondly im a broke ass student with a girlfriend, a bunch of hobbies and many plans. 20 bucks is honestly a waste, im beginning to realize. a homeless person can eat for 2-3 days on that. and when u really sit down and think about it, games will never help you achieve anything, and when youre old u'll regret all the hours you wasted earnin that ISK to 'buy' imaginary ships. and it gives u a false sense of achievement. youre not really achieving anything in life playin this, but what you are doing is wasting hours each day sittin inside a room instead of developing relationships, breathing fresh air, exercising, or making a real change in this messed world. so yeah, these are the issues that ive been having, but i keep comin back (for a few weeks at a time usually) because life stresses me out so much sometimes and escape is very much needed, as much as i hate to admit it. but when u find yourself living in this game (i remember pretty much wasting an entire summer 2 yrs ago), u should start feelin guilty... so yeah, these are the issues ive been havin w/ eve. great game tho. i might keep playin, i might not....... dunno. /end rant.

I would've bought a bpo by now I guess, but can't seem to keep off the faction stuff. have no skills for hacs etc, so i use my wallet to overcome the difference in performance. And by that the's saying 6 months straight, save for the pesky downtime.

Ysolde Xen	Posted - 2006.04.07 15:06:00 - [114] At less than 2 years I'm halfway between vet and newbie and I don't have billions/dreads/POSes myself either - mostly because I don't play EVE to grind for ISK, I play it to faff around and have a laugh. Occasionally I'll get serious and crank up some ISK-making but that's only when I see a shiny toy and decide I really want it (lately it's been Interdictors). Seeing as I have most fun with Frigates that's where i concentrate and it's a heck of a lot cheaper (even all the TII ones I fly) than going for fleet BSes and Carriers. I don't think my combined assets in total go past more than half a billion, and I rarely ever lose anything worth anything. ----- Just because you couldn't get a ship to do what you wanted doesn't mean it's a crap ship - it means you're a crap pilot of that ship.

I fly with 30 mill SP vets who scratch around from their current ship to their next.. having to insure it to make sure the get some isk because of the total PvP they do. Just all depend what you want out of the game, I think in most cases human nature makes you feel you are winning at EVE if you have lots of iskies.. but some dont see it that way. ===============================================

I've enough ISK to cover my clone, a couple of assault ships and inty's. and something to mine in, but I've never used that yet, had it a couple of months now. You don't need ISK until you die in PvP, then mine like there's no tomorrow to keep you going for a few months. Remember, Money can't buy happiness, but it does buy nicer guns. Better to live 1Hr as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm

Faalco	Posted - 2006.04.07 17:30:00 - [119] 8 months old, until a couple of months ago never had more than 15-20 mil, then i figured out how to trade (with some help), it's been a slow start, and it's still slow, but it's gathering momentum, probably on just over 200mil right now wallet plus invested in market combined. not that much in assets or ships, maybe 50-60 mil max.
