Germans may as well win this WC, good for them, I'd still rather watch Brazil every game.
As my country (Australia) is out im almost in the same boat as you (the almost being that if Italy win the wc after the penaly with 5 sec on the clock i would be ****ed off) but I disagree Germany have played some nice attacking football, and it would be better that they win than some of the other teams still left, like engalnd who have consistantly played poorly

Jerry deserved that win. Argentina were very negative after they scored. Now we just want France to beat Brazil and the cup will be in Yerp for teh next 4 years, where it belongs.

With healthy Ballack this game woulda been 3-1 for Germany.
And how the hell did Argentina figure to win the game with defenders only? ---

Please take your webbers off Ukraine and also the targetting disruption as they have no speed and are unable to pass the ball to each other it seems.

Something to do with both the Ashes and the Rugby Union World Cup both residing in England I think.
England haven't played well so far, neither has their opposition really forced them to play well. Paraguay, Trinidad, Ecuador, they barely had a shot on target between them. John Terry created Ecuador's best chance in the last round.
I can't wait for Portugal, I hope they come and attack us so Rooney can punish them on the counter ha ha ha ha!

Well judging by the refereeing in these quarter-finals, Rooney will be able to do whatever he wants. Besides, no Argentinian can understand Scouse, so he can get away with saying whatever he likes about the referee's mother and he'll be fine.
And winding up Ricky Ponting is not ungentlemanly.

Barring some sort of miracle, it's
Germany vs Italy in the semi-final.
My money's on Germany, a second consecutive final, but this time no-one can say they had an easy route there.

Lol @ you, just lol. If we want to be picky we had a gargantuan penalty in our favour (see foul against Camoranesi in tonight's match). Was it sanctioned? No, my nublar friend.
So please stop the crying already, aren't we italian cheaters/divers/mafious the ones supposed to booohooo more than anyone else?

I can't think of a team left that will beat Germany to be honest. I've said that since the Sweden game. They have explosives up their bottoms at the moment and you have to go back to 1982 to find a German who has missed a penalty, so that route is out for the opposition.

Hey Luc, perhaps too much playin EVE and thinkin' you're soooo cool being a member of "Evolution" corp made you forget how to recognise a good soccer team. This evening Italy played a superb match against a weak Ukraine team. Divers are everywhere. Italy, as always, is a great soccer team.

Italy did play well tonight, but you got to be out your mind if you say that the Italians don't dive to try and get penalties, they might be the most notorious country to do so. Unless their excuse is they are weighted down by all that hair gel

PUT THE PC DOWN! AND STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD!
German's looked a bit rubbish in teh first half, but second was all there's especially towards the end. Well played i say, Argies pulled a bit of a disgrace at the end though.

Edited by: welsh wizard on 01/07/2006 11:08:59 The scenes set for a *****ing quarter final. This is a grudge match and I think we're going to finally see a performance from England.
Portugal are a dangerous side with a scattering of world class players. England cannot afford to get one then sit back as they often do under Sven. it's all or nothing this time.
Neville is back at right back which I'm pleased about. I'm Jamie Carraghers biggest fan but he just doesn't play as safely in that position as Neville.
Anyway, I'm out the shower and off into town (Manchester).
It's gonna be a good'en!
edit: I can't believe theirs a sensor on that! Anyone wanna buy some *****?

Mmm, let's see...
1) If you didn't see the match you are just talking out of your ass, because you just don't know: ignorance of the facts makes your opinion void.
2) If you watched the game, you are talking bs again: that was a clear penalty foul (unlike the one that we had in our favour against Australia: again, I would not have sanctioned it).
3) If 2) = true then 'something is wrong with you' Even if you think that our national team is made up of a bunch of cheating pussies, you still watch our matches. I am sure that you could have your thirst for football games satisfied even if you avoided to see the five match where we played (oops... sorry, I meant made diving training).
Or are you here just to troll? - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
