Properly speaking, this probably belongs in the Skills forum, but I'm excited enough to crosspost. EVEMon 1.1.0 is out. A lot of people have put a lot of work into making this the fastest, sexiest release of EVEMon yet. Grab it today at the EVEMon site on Battleclinic! ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon |

So... what's the difference between the normal install and the cutting-edge install? Or am I missing a painfully obvious string of text somewhere? Dark skies torn apart Heavens open before me I, the light of death |

Right now, none. All our recent dev work has gone in to making 1.1.0 ready, so we don't have anything newer than that... until tomorrow :) ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon |

Install at your own risk of course.
Should be a disclaimer on all 3rd party programs, that way when accounts get hacked the player can only blame themself for installing things other players make.
Good work btw, im sure EVEMon is legit but you should stress people should only install at thier own risk.

I would assume that cutting edge would be the latest stuff on SVN. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Download the source, check all IP traffic calls, compile it yourself if you don't trust it.

Edited by: Kale Rivienne on 18/08/2006 17:19:57 Does this new version fix the learning suggestions? I can't see anything mentioned in the changelogs.
As of the old version 1.0.25.0 the skill planner failed to include the "learning" skill itself when suggesting learning skills to train.
In addition to this it was also possible to manually add the other learning skills and find that it resulted in a lesser training time... but isn't suggested. |

So, any reason why http://evemon.evercrest.com/, (which I understood to be the 'official' site) doesn't list 1.10 as the latest version?

Why isn't it on the "official" site?
I have a hard time trusting this.

Because the person who owns the 'official' site has been missing in action for quite a while. So they started looking around for another hosting provider, so that they could update the website, and have full control over SVN. Battleclinic offered, and they accepted.

Exactly what Utoxin said. It's still open source, you can go and see every single change we've made since moving to the battleclinic site. It took a long time for people to trust EVEMon, and I understand that it's going to take some time to trust the new site, but if you see what we're doing... you'll like it :)
As to the learning plan suggestion thing, that has NOT been fixed. Someone should enter that as a trouble ticket and we'll get it marked for version 1.1.1 ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon |

Edited by: Grey Area on 18/08/2006 18:50:15 There's some sort of error in this version...it says I only have 71 skills trained to level 5...I actually have 78.
*edit* strangely, if I do a manucal count, they are all there...it's just the sum at the top that is wrong. --- Monty Pythons spoof of the EVE Forums; Palin: "Is this the right room for an argument?" Cleese: "I've told you once." |

I <3 EveMon
It's made my life so much easier, training skills. I'm glad I found it straight off the bat. Gets better each time!
I have this weird bug sometimes, where when I start up windows, it reverts to default install settings. IE: it loses my plans and my characters and preferences, everything. Any ideas?

Plese change the current skill level indicator in skill browser... Maybe just roman numbers next to skill? Also an option to incereasing/decreasing planned level of skill in Plan Queue would very helpfull (like in EVE Character Manager).

Can someone explain the bolding of skills in the plan?
Otherwise, great work guys, it's a lot faster now and the tooltips aren't completely insane.
P.S. If anyone wants to put up some significant ISK I could be talked into making a scheduler for it so skills only finish when you're available to change skills. Payment upon delivery of course. ;-) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Theists should not try to use logic to prove their gods exist; it makes as much sense as spiders playing with matches. |

Request: Turn off the tooltip timeout on the skill planner.
It's really frustrating trying to read the tooltip while looking at my planned skills and having it vanish halfway through... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Theists should not try to use logic to prove their gods exist; it makes as much sense as spiders playing with matches. |
