FUD is Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. Basically it was used to describe IBM marketing tactics in the mid '70s, but now is generally applied to any kind of fearmongering, disinformation, etc. Wiki has a short-ish article about it if you want to know the whole story.

I wanted to submit a bug report, but after going through the links and seeing I need to register and such, I thought I'll just post it here since it is a simple typo and I did not see it listed under current tickets.
The skill Astrometric Triangulation is listed as an unknown skill. It correctly shows my current level and such. However, under the required official skill tree there is a skill called Astrometric Trianglation. (Note the missing "u")
I'm sure it will link up correctly once the typo is fixed.

That should be fixed in the current cutting edge version, and if it isn't then I need to shoot whoever rolled the relavant file back.

Anyone know what the xml for implants -should- look like?
I KNOW they are not in the XML at the moment. However I have a wrapper script to get the xml using php anyway. I can simply add in fixed lines to my own XML so that EveMon knows what I'm using without me having to manually enter all the time.
I use saved file alot by the way.

If you mean how should it look from CCP then:
Quote:
<attributeEnhancers timeInCache="5164406" timeLeftInCache="81235594"> <perceptionBonus> <augmentatorName>Low-grade Slave Alpha</augmentatorName> <augmentatorValue>2</augmentatorValue> </perceptionBonus> <memoryBonus> <augmentatorName>Low-grade Slave Beta</augmentatorName> <augmentatorValue>2</augmentatorValue> </memoryBonus> </attributeEnhancers>
(Some implants still show up even now) Also, once the last three digits of the cutting edge build is higher than 548, get it! That will have (what I now think) is a working collection of implant sets for ALL your jump clones that you can play with.

According to both the ingame info and the item database it only requires Drones lvl 5.... so if it is requiring Scout Drone Op then the bug is actually with the game.

The skill 'astrometric triangulation' is spelled 'astrometric trianglation' in Evemon. More importantly, it doesn't acknowledge the fact I have level 1 in it.

That issue, and countless other bugs and improvements have been adressed in the cutting edge version. 1.1.8 looks like it should be coming out fairly soon, and it should be a huge improvement over 1.1.6.

Question, where do I see the current skill I'm training on Tranquility instead of having to set it myself in the training plan? Is it even possible?

EVEMon 1.1.8 is out. You'll auto-update soon enough, or you can go to battleclinic and get it yourself. For the sake of our poor, poor server, let the auto-updater take a swing at it :) ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon - The open source Jamaican wiseman. |

Edited by: Scetrov on 22/01/2007 21:02:38 Anders, could you post the MD5 sum for the Installer and the ZIP package, we can get the update from friends without fear of tampering? I can even mirror it if you are happy with that. People could even mirror it to take some of the load off the Battle Clinic servers, if you and the rest of the developers were happy. --

What's a MD5 Checkedsums?
No, seriously, we'll probably never have an "official" mirror, just because of all the trust issues, but here's some long strings of hex:

\o/ they match
Our server is absolutely slammed right now. I want to put some things up on the dev site, but it's going to be awful until tomorrow. I bet battleclinic is thinking twice about supporting us :)
Since I can't say this on our dev boards (though it's probably a discussion we should have there), I think for the next release, I'll change the autoupdate check time to 4 hours (it's 2 hours now), and not tell anyone about the release until 4 hours after I post it to the updater. I think if all the evemon users let things happen naturally, we'd have fewer server problems.
... but I certainly understand wanting the program RTFN. What's one more downloader, after all? :) ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon - The open source Jamaican wiseman. |

I really like evemon, its an awesome program, one of the things I love about eve is how much work its players are willing to do creating supporting utilities for it, and that the game has enough depth to need them.
I always thought it would be great if Evemon could have a reverse engineering feature, that would allow you make a "blank" character, with no attribute, choose the skills you wanted it to have, then would tell you what race/ancestry/stat combo would give you those skills fastest. This would be great for things like cyno alts or r&d alts or out of corp freighter pilots.
Thanks again for doing all the work. I use evemon extensively.

Very nice new version. Finally with a "save"-feature for the implants. But: is there a way to store the implants somewhere else then the XML-file? Because next time I download a new XML-file, the implants are gone again, right? You save the added characters somewhere on local harddrive, can't you store the implants also there? I would prefer to remove implants manually when I got podded then adding them all the time I get a new xml-file for my character. -- Boost ECM on dedicated ships. Please.

The implants won't vanish unless you add implants to the "auto" set. That's automatically overwritten by what we get from CCP. the "current" set should work pretty much like you'd expect, as well as any jump clone sets. If you're seeing behavior other than that, it's a bug. ------ {o,o} (__(| -"-"- EVEMon - The open source Jamaican wiseman. |

It's worth mentioning, that the Auto set is automatically shown to you when you have "Current" selected, and the "Current" group will swap as though it is actually in the "Current" set, but it's not actually stored there. In fact if you use the "..." button next to an entry there, it'll probably come up with "<None>". It is worth pointing out that if you ok that at "<None>" it'll effectively overrule the "Auto" group and set that implant at "<None>", and if you then delete that implant it'll go back to whatever "Auto" group says you have inserted there. This allows for full customisation of your implants, but still allow you to use the "Auto" set if you so wish.

As of the last build, I am now experiencing a lag between skill complete and the timer Eve-Mon uses. In-game my skills complete 2 minutes earlier than Evemon suggests. Anyone else had this or am I just very unlucky?
Great program, quite handy in my views, just wanted to bring this to the creators attention.

See the second note in the EVEMon FAQ: http://evemon.battleclinic.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/EvemonFAQ
In the latest version of EVEMon, you can go to settings - alerts and set the notification offset to make EVEMon in sync with EVE.
