Reading all the insta and bookmark threads i believe it is time to create a PvP shard. Just give us 1 node at first, only 1 region if needed (all the rest unexplored) with the good old settings back from beta.
- region chat, only show up when you speak
- bookmarks fixed to anchored objects (containers, stations, gates, asteroids, ...)
- anchoring skill limits the amount of containers you can anchor
- persistent ships (when you disconnect you get autowarp, when you do a clean logoff you stay where you were.
- no 0.0 NPC stations
- faction standings mean something everywhere. Gallente start with -5 on caldari and vice versa. Standing affects docking rights/fees, rights to use station facilities, being shot by navy.
- new characters get the sec status of the deleted character of that player slot (prevent recycling suicide gankers)
- only 1 alt in space at a time. (one of your 3 characters is in space or not inside a POS shield? then you cannot undock or leave a POS shield the other 2 characters¦
- no insurance when you initiate combat and you die during aggression timer
- get the old NPC spawns back, ie: a mix of battleships, cruisers and frigs, especially those that scrambled NPCing is just braindead simple on tranq.
- no instant warp when already aligned. Introduce a calibration timer that is affected by agility (so nothing changes for ships standing still). A ship warps when its aligned and calibrated. Ships already aligned will still need to calibrate before warping
- split the dual bonus modules such as tracking computers and sensor boosters
- 5% of armor damage can only be repaired inside a station (you get hit for 100 damage, 5 of those damage get a special flag so that it doesn't get repaired.)
- hull damage progresses downwards. 99% hull left will over time go to 98%, then 97%. The lower your current hull, the faster it goes down. A hull repairer or damage control reduces the rate it goes down. It can only be fixed at a station or a special POS module.
Some of these things used to be in there but got nerfed away in favour of the carebears, other things are new which i think will make it a more interesting pvp game.
As for the creating an extra shard will ruin the game, I don't think it will in this case, since all other examples are creating a non-pvp shard, here i do want a pvp shard since tranquility is getting more non-pvp by the minute
PS: carebears don't bother to reply since this is not meant for you, you already got tranquility that you are ruining.

Simple answer: no.
You dont realize just how closed-minded and simply rude you are being.
Plus, your 'pvp' server would fail, think along the lines of player driven market.

If you want PvP, go to lowsec/0.0/hunt wartargets and go shoot them.
Seriously, if you want a dedicated zone for PvP, you'd just basically made EVE like all the other cookie-cutter MMO's out there (including *EWWW* WoW), which is definately not what CCP wants to do with EVE.
EVE is meant to be a gameworld, and as such as a virtual world, if you want something done, do it yourself. Go organize your own arena, see if people will like it.
Oh and FYI, I like the idea of being possibly ganked/will gank someone without me/them knowing and thus, not being prepared. Its what CCP wants, as real as EVE can get, including the risks in less savory areas of town, like IRL.
Seriously, since when has TQ become more "carebear" friendly?

How about no? We already have a pvp shard - it's called Tranquility.
If you want counterstrike-style pvp, log on to sisi and the go to the FFA.

99% of the market is player driven, only pvp, no carebears, no carebears, no market.. no market, no pvp.
In other words, enjoy yourself on your one-man server, I'm sure you'll have a ship to fly.

Eve is already a PvP shard.
Or, if your plan is to have only PvP on a new shard, why have any npcs?

Splitting Eve into non-PvP and PvP shards would kill Eve.

I mean, it's not so different to the real EVE universe after all, so it'd only be a minor change.

how can the server know what made me disconnect? what stops me from just pulling the network cable instead of clicking ctrl-q? or typing adsl-stop?

when do people realize , when you don't like the game as it is ? don't flame the forums for a perfect game to a lot of us , but go and buy yourself some borland c++ and i'll see ya in a few years.
and yes in the meanwhile pls play all the other mmo's out there that looks all the same but only with other skinns and names for skills and grind stuff...
eve stands out with their community and all us pvp'ers are proud of it ... high sec i don't care , low sec and 0.0 is still the bomb with pvp
if you think pvp isn't out there come visit the church u muppet  , were very happy to "retrieve" some donations out of ya
forums of normal mmo's can be whine-forums pls let the eve forum for the major good people that like playing games and like the way that ccp actually build the game intentionally !

okay lets reply then on a decent way you alt ....
why pvp in a section away from the rest of eve ? eve is a regional game , and that means that everyone is affected by wars from 0.0 regional wars in empire with wars or anything thats just coming up
what dukath want is a seperate pvp section and that means just like in wow a battleground
i said in wow ( when battlegrounds came up ) if i want to play unreal tournament with capture the flag i'll play unreal tournament ( oldskool  )
[ don't flame me that i tried wow yes , ran straight back though ]
so its the same here , if i want to battle some pvp i'll play a shooter or some other game that doesn't have wat it takes but just blowing stuff up for fun...
in eve you have to earn your pvp status and your pvp stuff, if you can't deal with that kind of adrenaline, pls go back to some FPS were your hearth won't have a stroke every 14 seconds ! ( yes i'm addicted to it )
seperate grounds equals just some fps lookalike game
go find yourself some FPS instead or whine in a battleground in wow :D
thats why everyone is flaming here, its just the same only your so carebear you don't even realize it
