Just did the new lvl 2 mission "Pirate Intrusion" and the reward was not even close to that of existing missions of equivalent difficulty. Also the bonus timer was at least 30 mins too short.

Overview options to show only whecks which belongs to the owner ( corp, gang)

Eve won't load for me after patch. Patched from previous installation, trying to load the game but I get this error pop-up, with the EvE Online: Revelations splash screen in the background:
ExeFile.exe - Entry Point Not Found The Procedure entry point _encode_pointer could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR80.dll.
I've tried uninstalling, re-downloading the lastest full install and re-patching but get the same error.
I'm using Windows 2000 SP4.

BUG: Client Crashes to Desktop while exiting/entering warp in/around stargates.
Now documented by 4 people, on 5 different machines. 1.) Kittamaru (here) 2.) HankMurphy (here) 3.) Elle D (here) 4.) Percolator (here) *2 different machines*
Percolator sums up the problem pretty well:
Quote: Happens when I approach/jump through gates, on autopilot, or on warp-to-zero. Has not occurred at stations, or asteroid belts. Tried several variations of warp to; happens on approach, on autopilot, on warp-to-zero (but on the other side of the gate) and once mid-warp.
I fooled with my RAM settings, and with them set to the lowest possible timings I can get my ship to jump through a gate before immediately crashing the client. This leads me to believe it has something to do with Kali's intolerance for crappy RAM (but RAM which is stable under any other circumstances).
I will update this post as more people come forward with the same bug.

This is what the first time ever you got a patch working within the planned outage time.... Congratulations.
A few things are still wrong, the main being that in the item trade there are quite a few items that can not be requested for trade. Mining forman mindlink for instance.
Oh, and you guys deserve a few kisses for pmping the nighthawk I really do like that minor change that was sneaked in. The WCS nerf I guess you would have been better of removing them completely as they are now not restricting a person in their ability to decide not to fight a lost battle (GANK!!) but they are preventing them to do anything else but run like hell with a extream tank setup hoping not to encounter anyone with enough firepower to break their tank before they flee...

Three "bugs": 1) When buying on the market, the client hangs for ~15 seconds similar as if you had the transaction tab in your wallet open while makinga purchase under the RMR client. 2) Clearing all my friends out of my friends list caused the client to hiccup for about 5 seconds for each friend deleted. As I had 300 people I batch deleted and was flying through 0.0, I was basically an easy target for 10-15 minutes. 3) Setting a course with autopilot, hitting autopilot, then disabling autopilot after 1 jump and flying the course manually causes the autopilot course to not update.

so far kali looks great. patch deployment on time, server doesn't crap out, new stuff is great, yay :)
a few issues:
- the screen flashes bright white after every jump. it hurts my eyes... - the stars in the background are great!! i hated it sooo much that space looked like colored whipped cream without any feel for the vast amount of celestial objects in a galaxy and beyond. it could be improved a bit by not being just a few pixels spread out, but it adds a lot of atmosphere. - on a more unconstructive note, the seamless map is utter crap. who needed zooming around, it isn't userfriendly and i just want to use the map to find stuff and not zoom around - warp to 0 to a station put me 2k off docking range in kisogo. 2k is good to jump, but not enough to dock. not sure if it only happened that time. --

Anyone with a large amount of BM's (a few thousand) been unable to load P&P folder fully and so cant delete their BM's?
Also, do you hang for a looong time when you enter the game after character select?

Instant bookmarks were not deleted, but I guess thats been reported earlier (havent read the thread). :) Anyway, since you cant jump to 15 km from the bookmark, they dont work. You only have 10 and 20 km in the menu.
So just delete them... :)

First off, I wanna congradulate CCP on what looks like its best release yet, while there are some bugs, it's gone pretty well.
However, I'm a little dissapointed about the fact that all cries for an increase in the max amount that corps can set their tax at, has been ignored, we're still stuck with 10%

Issue 1: 'Lost connection to server' message appears every time I want to log in. I get it after 'acquiring bulk data'.
I have tried following action without sucess:
- Clean cache - Deactivate firewall
Issue 2: 'Nutzername' is not rly good german. You might want to use 'Benutzer' rather then 'Nutzer'. That is 'Username' label on the login screen I'm talking about.

Could do with the recon probe launchers being seeded - 400 base scan time is kind of a step backwards for cov opping.
Had difficulty setting up a contract to a friend - auctions set at 0.00 isk demand a 1k bid anyway and other types of auction seem reluctant to appear.
Other than, excellent patch deployment guys, well done.

Great expansion for Eve :)
One thing that bothers me a little is The information which is overlaid onto the World map fades off as you zoom out. This makes it hard to quickly see info like "pilots in space in last 30 minutes".....you can see it if you zoom in, so you can see it for the whole world, but it now is very inconvenient to get an overview of the info for the whole world.
Also, the map forgets that I have set it to flattened.
Otherwise, good stuff CCP :)

The problem is Microsoft and their automatic updates. They released a Direct X 9 update that neglected to install a few files, d3dx9_30.dll being one of them.
The missing files need to go into: C:\Windows\System32
For your situation, you should really only need to download and copy d3dx9_30.dll to c:\windows\system32
You can probably get it here (unverified source, but looks legit): http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_30
The other way to do this would be to download the DX9_C redistribution package which can be found here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/4/6/d46cc24d-33df-4727-aa89-9512513c67d3/directx_oct2006_redist.exe

p.p.s. If you are running XP 64, then your "system32" directory is actually called "sysWOW64" so... C:\Windows\sysWOW64 would be the proper directory for these dll(s)

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but my hangar items box isnĘt its own separate entity anymore, but is tied to loot cans. So loot cans pop up the size and position of my huge hangar and if I resize and move them to where I want them my hangar pops up as the tiny loot can window. This behavior is really annoying, please fix it.
Otherwise everything looks great, except the regular looting of wrecks of course. Are drones and mercs not supposed to drop any salvage comps?

Couldn't get private contract to work.. ..set private recipient to be my alt but couldn't see contract with him.. ..checked the link on the character to make sure I typed it in ok and it was right.. ..made several attempts at the private contract, used aution, item exchange etc, checked "Issued to" in "My Contracts" on the alt and checked "Available Contracts".. ..but could only get it to work when setting it to public.

One major and one minor issues:
Major: 10 to 15 minutes log in time. After 10 to 15 minutes I get to enter game. Finally. I've still got too many bookmarks, and the GMs can't help me "we don't have the tools to delete bookmarks" and "give it significant time to open". That they don't have the tools is very odd, and significant time seems to be more than 2 hours. What's most annoying is that the devs had this problem fixed in test patch 27791, but removed that fix!
Minor: Time sink. The new fleet gang system is neat. Sort of a nerf, and should have been introduced during Gemini rather than three years later. But the PROBLEM is with the new skills, they are nothing but a time sink with Wing Command at renk 8 and Fleet Command at rank 12. - EVE is sick. |

My only real concern there is it relies on the user going through and sorting out their bookmarks. Now I've got 'region' sets, that have instas, safespots and scanpoints. I suppose I _could_ just block delete 'em, but as is I'll be sorting through them to tidy up.
I can see how many would just not bother though, and just leave the BMs as they are, in case they get reverted or something.

no word on CP about how to fix it so obviously something they dont want us to know about going to mean a lot of ppl cant fully install and use for who knows how long

7 hours of game play report:
First the kudos. This is perhaps the smoothest patch day on my end IMO. In game lag is nill. The game runs smooth as glass for me tonight for the first time in months. It's running as smooth as I remember it back in Exodus. It's a joy to play again and the little frustrations that build up on you slowly are gone. The camels back is free from straw again.
WRECKS.
The Good: Wrecks are cool. The good news ends there.
The Bad: You know the issue already, you can't determine which ones have been looted and which ones you haven't. I gave up even trying to open any of them after my 3rd encounter and just did my mission objectives all night and went back leaving everything.
Also annoying is that the window for the wreck remains there empty when I've looted it. I miss the old popping of the can and the window closed. With no cans can we at least have the window automaticly close when emptied? We can't copy anything back into it anyway unless we jettison an object from our hold. It's more work to close empty windows than the previous system.
The Fix: So, we (1.) need some graphical notice of which wrecks WE'VE looted, if not which wrecks have been looted period. We (2.) auto close that loot window.
STAR FIELD.
The Good: The star field is absolutely one of the coolest new things about Revelation and one of the worst at the same time. It's cool because you get real stars for the first time where that speck of light out there is a real place and not a generic star. You get to feel how you're a part of a huge galaxy. The map feature is bad ass in conjuction with this star field in the distance.
The Bad: The stars are horrible looking, one pixel solid color. The stars are on the inside of the background art. In systems that are cloudy or have seas of gas in the distance, these stars of distant solar systems should not shine through. This gives a really cheap look and takes depth away from something that ironicly is supposed to add depth.
The Fix: (1.) Change the solid one color hue of the new star field. You can view a systems color in the map setting based on the type of star that is at the center of each system. These dots in the distance should be the same cooresponding color. From cooler red giants to hot blue dwarfs. That will at least make them fit in better. (2.) If possible have the star field be placed behind the background art and be obfuscated by gas clouds etc.
General Problems:

as far as looted wrecks if u have no intention of salvage and from SISI testing most of em dropped low end rubbish bits anyway when salvaged simply do what i have always done with cans that dont have anything useful - lock and fire uc can do the same with rigs once looted if nothing u want to salvage lock and blow it up it goes quite quickly

one problem i found (that's also allready bugreported)
before kali it was possible to reset the scanrange in the scanner to maximum scanrange (2147483647km) by typing a stupid high number like 11111111111111111 into the rangefield. so you could easy reset e.g. from 10000km to 2147483647km by typing this stupid high number and clicking scan.
now it's like: you have 10000km scanrange - you want to reset to max. scanrange? open and close scanner. if you try the above "trick" it will only show the stupid high number in the rangefield. (though it's still only scanning 14,2AU it shows the 11111111111111111km in the rangefield) ___________________

I have to say, this sucks. I have this very same problem and it's driving me nuts. Not only it takes 10 to 15mins to login but also it takes too much time to open people and places. So far, I've waited for 45mins and no sign of accessing my bookmarks. How stupid, specially when this issue was once fixed already.
What makes this quite funny in a way is that, I can log in my other account from same installation(and obviously same puter), getting logged in instantly and accessing my BMs instantly and both my my accos have same amount of BMs. --
