Considering Ragnarok online has in excess of 35000 people logged on at anyone time...and CCP has approx 30000 subscriptions... I can see a small problem.

I'll be on but dont forget the last attempt which was only a few weeks ago was a bit of a disaster. From what i can recall, max players online that day was only 4700, not even half of the target.
And not to mention that the actual thread seemed to disappear from the "General Discustion" forum.
But as i said....

BTW I remember that when EVE got 6.3k users online waaaay back, it was quite playable. It will be a nice test to see if the new implementations since then helped (or not).

Could you all just NOT do that?
I would like to play eve, not wait untill the server is up again just so that it can crash/freeze/whatever within a few minutes again because it cannot handle 10.000 users!!!

how you know it cant handle 10k users, if your using the other night as an example i think your mistaken, caus EVERYONE was tryin to all pile into the amarr system, if everyone just logs on and goes about their daily business, and try to spread yourselves around the place for the day, i think its entirely possible. Besides. even if the game is a laggy pos for the day, 1 day aint gonna change anyones life and its for something cool, to of participated in help break a world record. oh yeah *bump*

for this to work... CCP would have to put this in the news when ppl connect and logon to there char's a few weeks a head maybe 1 or 2 at least then it might work... and ONLY THEN...
