Well today I decided to do the bonus room. Why? Because Massive Attack Bonus Room, drops a +3 implant.
I paid 1.79 mil isk for an angel palladium dogtag.
Went through all the rooms [insert pew-pew sounds].
Jumped in and tanked all the damage, which is a lot compared to other level 3 missions.
Got to the overseers stash and got my reward, the most precious item in the world guarded by battleships, cruisers, and frigs...
...small converse I deflection catalyzer 
ok, whatever, i just want my dogtag back so I can do the bonus stage if ever I feel stupid again.
Hmm, must be in the Angel Battlestation, [insert a lot of pew-pew sounds here]
What drops: Scourge Missiles 100; Miner I; Passive Targeter; Stasis Webifier I; 100 Carnonized Lead L
Check all the wrecks.... crap....
Anyone know where the Dogtag is?

Unfortunately, the NPC that is the mission objective drops the tag needed, but only *sometimes*.

AE or GE bonus rooms pretty much suck and not worth the effort.

The AE bonus stage has always given me my tag back, Unless I'm blind and lucky and have gotten another tag on every AE run without noticing.

It eats the tag for me every time, and I've never picked up that tag from the mission. That combined with the crap drops means this is one I never do anymore. I don't think that the GE eats the tag, I always do that one and massive attack bonus room.

Im sure that the bonus room is varaible... I am positive that once i had two gates to go through, one called "to the warzone" and one to "overseers stash", That time i went to the stash and rushed through (No ammo) and got a +2 implant.
Ever since its always been the palladium tag one and there arent any for sale 
Then again, I may have been thinking of a different mission

Could be off entirely, but as I recall... the Level 3 versions steal your tag and the Level 4 versions dont.
At least that's what I recall for AEx bonus room.
My thoughts are my own.... however, my corporate lackys and minions better agree with me |

I always do AE and GE bonus stages. However never found anything valuable apart from good named loot. I do them because of good bounties from the stage but only if not waiting till downtime for respawn

I did it about a week ago and the gate didn't eat my tag. I think it changed after Rev.

The Angel Palladium tag drops from Angel cruisers. You can loot them randomly from both mission and belt rats. If you run lvl4 missions against Angels, you will quickly amass a huge stack of em. And FYI there is a small chance of finding Domination loot in the AE bonus room (both lvl3 and lvl4).

Ok Thanks for all the replys.
I guess I will keep trying the room as the bounties cover the cost of the dogtags.
But still think its a shame that the dogtag gets taken away, with a small chance of anything good, unlike massive attack with a guaranteed +3 implant, in a bonus stage that takes no concentration on your part to do.

You're pretty wrong on this part. There's nothing guaranteed. I did the MA Bonus stage a lot of times meanhwile and I got the implant only about 6 out of 10 times. Otherwise you just get a ******* drone.

Cant remember the level 3 bonus room. I did however get a Cynabal BP from the level 4 bonus angel room.
I was under the impression the tag remained in your cargo hold and didnt get used up.

Yeah..ummm...for massive attack the tag doesn't get used up, it is just needed for initial access to the gate. I'm assuming it's different from extravaganza...that..or no one here has actually paid attention to whats in their hold afterwards.

Massive Attack (level 3) - you need the tag to enter but you keep it; used to give a +3 implant every time - small chance now;
Guristas Extra (level 3 and 4) - you need the tag to enter but you keep it; small chance of faction loot in level 4, the best I've ever gotten from level 3 was an XR3200. 
Angel Extra (level 3) - you need the tag and it gets used up! Very small chance to get faction loot hence I never did the last room (cost of tags). Level 4 - who cares about the bonus room? 18.5M ISK in bounties AND 48 Alloyed Tritanium Bars first day (46 on the second) on top of ~2000 m3 of faily decent loot - I'll keep milking this baby for a full week.

Guristas one is pretty easy (easier than worlds collide), good bounties and I've had dread guristas invulnerability fields from the stash before so... that was a nice 350m

In the bonus room of the lev 4 version of Guristas Extrav I have gotten a dread guristas cruise launcher, and I have gotten 2 (crap) domination items from the Angels Extrav lev 4 bonus rooms. It's very rare, but good items can show up.

Since REV II we are up for AE4 bonus stage, battlestation loot gets boring - allways 30k bane torps, 20 ogre I, 10k art amo and a named item.
Would appreciate if loot would be more variant, eg.
30k iridium large, 20 praetor I, 10k wrath cruise missile .....
We have piled up 300k bane torps till now
Hm - how can you farm bonus stage? mission objective is reached on clearing stage 5 and iirc if mission objective is reached there is no respawn after downtime.

im confused here. Is the AE bonus room worth it than or not? Some people are saying faction loot drops, others say its not worth it. Ive also heard you can ctd when entering the AE bonus room. Is that true? Also can it be soloed in a t2 fitted raven or not?
Basically Im not a mission runner but I can quite easily pwn through the AE lvl 4 mission but ive heard the bonus stage is quite heavy on dps.
Basically I just need someone to tell me whether its worth doing or not for a mid sp player who is not currently strapped for isk but would like some domi loot :)

I don't know of any T2 Ravens that can solo the Level IV AE Bonus Room (without warping out, which is time consuming). I know that I cannot solo it in a Tech II tanked Domi and that none of my corpmates can solo it in their Ravens. I always bring a friend or two to make the bonus room go more quickly.
Nor does the mission always drop Domination loot. I haven't ever picked up Domination loot from it. But there is a chance of it. It's like a lottery ticket. Except that in the case of the Level IV mission, you will get some very nice bounties, salvage and loot - even without a Domination drop. The tag you need to get into it can be used for more than one mission, so it pays for itself pretty quickly. So, I think the Level IV version is worth it.
The Level III version is not worth it, because the rare tag you need to enter it is used up every time.

AE bonus room for Lvl 3 - Angel Palladium tag costs 1-1.5 million isk. Bounty from Bonus room alone 2.5-4 million isk plus a chance at faction loot (low chance). Worth it, or not? It'a a personal choice. If you feel you can earn more by skipping this, and doing another, do so.

I've tanked it in an Ishtar with an alt flying a t2 Raven for Dmg, although I must say my B**** were in my throat coz it was a very close call.

Yes, the last time I ran it, I tanked it "successfully." That is, I managed to survive in my Dominix (only one LAR II, 75-81-81-84 resistances) while my two corpmates in Ravens and I killed stuff as fast as we could. When the DPS finally got low enough for my LAR to keep up, my hull was at around 59%. Permarunning LAR and DCU II ftw! It definitely got a bit tense. Next time I'll fit two LAR IIs and see how things go.

Not much to report tbh just an 11th lvl overseers personal effects and some standard stuff. You do however keep the Tag.

Got a AE Lv 4 as well but don t have an Diamond Tag jet... iŠkeep trying to get one bevore i start this Mission on Saturday.
Will do it with the following fitting:
HIGH: 6x CRM II, 1x Heavy Dim, 1 Tracktor
MED: 1 DG X-Large SB, 1 EXP II, 1 KIN II, 1 INVU II, 2 AMP II
LOW: 2 BCU II, 3 PDU II
RIG: 3 CCC I

Just out of interest whats your setup?
Id rather run it in a domi than the ish as I get more drone scope. But after only just surviving in the ish im a bit reluctant.
