My buddy had been trying to get me to play this game for about a week. So on the day I registered I was trying to light up a cigarette and my disposable lighter ran out of fuel. All it would do is flick flash, flick flash. I pondered on this. This would be a great name and the rest is history.

I spent more than 2 hrs creating ET. Most of this time i spent picking up name. Then i saw poster of 2pac, so - i become Thug. As for first part - my avatar = very ugly. So, i become Evil Thug

Ok atributes CHECK, right skills CHECK, sexy pic of female character as i don't like to stare at the ugly mug of some SOB ... CHECK, name let imagination role for 15 minutes.
Satan, not good for female character, Satana sounds a bit female-ish but still not eve-ish enough. Santana, where did i hear of Santana before, nevermind i change one letter, Sentana ... Santena ... Santane. Let's go with Sentana, but it still sounds manly when i want a nice sweet name, let's try Setana ... Senta ... Sentyna. Setana sounds ok.
Let's make is a 2 part name, so what other ?
I throw my eyes around the room, Traxdata - sounds weird, cup with Milan on it - no ideeas here, my hand hurts, i could modify Hand and use it as such. Sounds weird anything i come up with. Hand is Mana in romanian, i heard it is Mano in italian - not sure though. Setana Mano sounds ok-ish but still not ok.
Lets make it Setana Manoro.
The amazing think is that after 6 months, i remember this. o.0

I got it from the old Mac shareware game Ares. Audemed was the "leader" of a mechanical hive mind race (think Borg, but extermination rather than assimilation. No annoying biological components either).
I've used it in everything for years, to the point where it's nearly become my own 4th name. Think it's gonna stick for a bit.
Oh, and it's butchered a lot. Pronounced "odd-eh-mehd"

Or if you prefer the German general (Frederick Barbarossa) who had his name used as the codeword for the Germans main offencive against communist Russia during the Second World War.
Either works for me, my first alt was called William Beaujeu, the grand master of the knights Templar at the time the french king and the pope betrayed them in order to get their grubby hands on the gold (suposedly). Unfortunatly I lost intrest in the char, cos i love the name.

Mine is based on the name of an ancient sea that existed during the Mesozoic era around 200 million years ago. (real spelling Tethys).

Mine is the name I used for a character in a pen-and-paper RPG campaign of "Star Trek" ... it should be spelled "Kery Ny'Sell", but I slipped when I made my eVe character all those years ago ...
I use the same lastname for all my chars in eVe, kinda like a small family ...
I think I warped the name "Kyra Nerris" around to come up with "Kery Ny'Sell", but I can't really remember that (the original character was created somewhere in 2002, late at night, after a couple of beers before the game).

I came up with Gothie cos I was playing around one day when I needed an alt, always like the Gothic minmatar look, and i wanted her to sound kinky

My Nickname is Bulbs. Most of the original members of the corp I am in, I knew before EVE from the game Homeworld 2. My name in that game was Bulbasaur Wizard.  I joined their clan PSA and became BulbasaurPSA|RN (RN stood for Royal Hiigaran Navy, the HW2 division of PSA an original HW clan) and we eventually (mostly) moved to EVE. Now I am called Bulba or Bulbs, and have been for the past 3 years.

I have a weird obsession with some of the most influential leaders of the past and present. Napoleon is one of those powerful leaders that I admire, so I knew I wanted his last name to be my characters last name. I wanted to have a female character though, and tried to think of what a futuristic counterpart of Napoleon would be like. I thought of a sophisticated person, and Jacqueline was one the more appealing names in the "common first name's in French."
Also I can make an interesting story in the future about my character by using Bonaparte as the last name. Lastly, I inherited pwnage by having Napoleon's last name :P /sarcasm.
