Marcus Dreddlin is sort of my alter ego, a character from a science fiction storyline I started writing 16 years ago... Pronounced Welsh, so it's Drethlin not Dread-lin. I wanted a name that sounded like a real person's name also; weird acro-numerics don't really work for me I guess.

ummmm i reprogrammed a furbyŤ to say"my name is the devil i have come to take your soul ..... thank you please come again" in Latin, dyed its fur red and made its arms fail about while its eyes rolled around so. after that i was known as demonfurby and seeing as furby is copyrighted i changed it to ie so i couldn't be sued.

I use 2 aliases on the internet. If it's anything fantasy/medieval then I'm Pathos.
If it's anything futuristic/sci-fi then I'm some form of Neutron. I've been using that since the golden days of Quake 1.
I originally got it from a Monty Python sketch about a character called "Mr. Neutron."

I wanted to choose elite, in honor of the game EVE bases on, but it was taken, so I just typed it in leetish. In hindsight, it wasn't the most original idea ever, but I'm now stuck with it..

I wanted something that did not sound ordinary, and yet was easy to pronounce. Salah El-Din is a common name in the middle east, but when written with the aglicization Saladin it refers to someone so many respect and regard as their hero.
I don't think I will ever pick this name again in another MMO. Hindsight is 20/20, and I realized I should not name an avatar after someone I admire so much. I can sometimes act stupid, or be the object of smack, and that would only bring disrespect to the name.

I used to play UT a lot on clanbase 5-6 yrs ago and always had peeps hassling me and griefing me 'cos I used to telefrag em so much. So me and a mate started fakenicking for a bit of peace and quiet. We chose a couple of female names only my pants typing at the time created the DD typo which kinda stuck.
