I'm an alt, and my main is quite ancient...was part of the Polaris program back in 2003, and at the time I was spending WAY too much time in EVE...I was greeted by Macayle once as "Hello, Mr. Resident"...made me laugh so hard I thought it deserved the character.

Well, if we're doing alts...I'm afraid I was made solely to make bookmarks from *twitch* Torrinos to *twitch twitch" 5ZXX-K. I died a lot on the way there, but I'm *twitch* fine again now.
Pity I'm only an alt...as soon as I made it I thought the name deserved more of a life...there's a "Green Mile" reference in there, for those that care...

Mine is simply a combination of letters from my actual name.
I had forgotten about the Fer-De-Lances in Elite I do remember the alien Thargoids and the wonderful music that played when you could finaly at long last afford an auto-docking computer.

I was playing KoToR2 when I first downloaded EVE and this was the random-generated name my Chr had, so I used it. 
Never thought I'd get called a "victorian herbal remedy" though - thanks for that E-ON.

Jo = Two first letters in my last name
As a kid running around school you had to have a "tag" name. This is how we chose ours. So I have had it for about 16 years now.

I spent yet another 30 minutes crafting my character, went to name and hit create char .. keyboard 'crashed'.
... 49125 was in my buffer. Right click, paste. Hit create char .. worked!

I wanted to be ColdFire when I started using BBS' way back, but the handle was already taken so I chose FireFoxx.
It was/is FireFoxx74, but people kept assuming I was born in 1974, but in fact hotmail suggested the '74' suffix.
Hence FireFoxx80.

My first choice was already taken and I couldnt think of another name. Their happened to be a Copenhagen snuff commercial on TV at that time so there you go. Just glad it wasnt a Tampax commercial

The name of the main character of a fantasy novel I've been hammering away at for a couple of years in between trying to graduate college and trying to pay the rent. Which in turn was sort of inspired by a D&D (you know, the one with DICE) character I made back in '95. Those were the days.

8 years ago I was trying to think of a name for a reroll in Asheron's Call, and just out of the randomness Arthell came to be.
It wasn't until a good 3 years after that I even noticed that it could be split into two words: art-hell. It's ar-thell damnit.

Just sounded cool, I suppose. I had a character called "Val Creed" in a really cheesy space opera I wrote when I was in high school; it always sounded like a good, rogue-ish space pilot name.

My original call sign (Ghostwolf) since way back in the days of Mech Warrior on the Zone (and several MMO's since then) would not work here, unless I perverted it with numbers and such. So, I came up with a new one for EVE. Sun Hawk also wasn't gonna fly. My wife is a Spanish speaker so I had her translate it for me.

I rolled a pirate character and wanted to make a cross-dressing pirate character. Nothing scarier than being podded by a pirate in a frock.
I first tried Barbara but that was taken. So, I went with Barbarra, which could be interpreted as 'Barbara' or Bar-barra as in barbaric.
In my bio I've always had 'AKA Lefty Two Guns' which is a reference to one of my fave films - Donnie Brasco and it also suits the taste of my characters weaponry in that he loves autocannons.

I just flipped my last name around Lucas<>Sacul....seems there are a lot of sacul's on the web aswell so after i found that out, 4 odd months in the game, i was surprised the name had not been taken yet at creation.
Offcourse nowadays ppl call me Saculia after dark and since for some reason z0r seems to be kewl in eve (why? rly why??)i get remarks like Saculz0r strikes again wich is kinda ghey imo....but well....
The stone age didn't end because we ran out of stones! |
