My LPs have basically disappeared. I had nearly 600k with my agent and now I've accepted one 15k LP offer through the store and have 5649 LPs. --- in EVE - Idara |

I received the following message when I started the patched client:
"Please run EVE with administrator rights to complete data migration."
The interesting thing is that I was using the only account on my machine (this is Windows XP Home) and it does have administrator rights. After several tries the message disappeared. I am now using /end /LUA:OFF as well since I have two clients, perhaps that prevented it. . Rimhawk Vengeance 8 Interceptors

1) If you have a Singularity client you already have a folder called EVE in My Documents. Thus your old settings are NOT copied over and you're left with the ones from Sisi.
2) If you have multiple clients they overwrite each other because now cache/capture are always in the same place.
CCP I hope you do something about that. Very very annoying issues.

Something seems to be up with windowed mode. I click on the chat channel tabs, and it switches to fullscreen and the mouse pointer is displying in the wrong place. Guess I'll be using full screen and only one account for a while, as alt-tabbing between two fullscreen clients is a pain

I logged in and didn't accept any offer and was missing 350k LP from the agent I was using last night. I also had around 50K LP after logging in.

I used the command line switches /end /LUA:OFF and still had data transfered into the "My Documents" folder.
This is not good.

When the admin screen came up, did you scroll to bottom and then hit "Accept"? I got same screen with XP, scrolled and accepted and works.

Edited by: Shandra NoruffCameron on 19/06/2007 22:34:27 I am getting the "Please run EVE with administrator rights to complete data migration."
I am using XP.
I scrolled and accepted and it did take me into the login screen however if I close the client and reopen the same probelm happens again. There is an unusually long wait for the client to boot up and get to the login screen.

two minor things i've noticed:
Overview is totally messed up, even if it does remember all profiles they contains things that i surely hadnt selected - meaning its not as it was
2nd one, seems that color of tittle bars cannot be changed. I mean open your character window and that line of each skill group (when clicked it expands all skills in that group) is way too dark, and it cannot be changed via options, tried various themes and manual settings :( This also apply for market window
I tried to delete cache now but i cant login back to verify if it helped or not...

This is not good.
The capture directory is migrated reguardless of those switches. The switches only stop you cache and settings from being moved.

Yeah with over 30K people loging in, I wouldn't close down your client if you get in.. otherwise you could have a 5+hr wait

Just installed the update and am in the Queue to get onto Tranquility, but I wanted to make this observation real quick even though it isn't what you are looking for specifically: The EULA that I needed to agree to is basically unreadable due to the background artwork and the Rev II overlay.... don't get me wrong - that didn't stop me from scrolling down and agreeing to the EULA; but just thought you might want to know.

Edited by: Pastora on 19/06/2007 22:37:06 Why do you have to follow stupid Microsoft rules?! I like to keep My Documents folder as clean and organized as possible (but mostly clean), and now you place an extra folder there, which with time will start to occupy a lot of space?! Why?!
And I don't care about Windows Vista a slight bit. I'm using Windows XP at the moment. Why should I comply to Vista rules? Why don't you just force us to install the whole game to My Games folder which is under My Documents folder? That will be "nice" and "fair", and comply with "wise" Microsoft rules. _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

I dont know if it has to do with the patch or not, but it's irritating when it says, in the following order:
1: ñ250 in queue, 1004 players online
2: ñ211 in queue, 1766 players online
3: ñ143 in queue, 3000 players online
(I feel like alot of people just ran past me)

I downloaded the patch and my client changed from English to German automatically. I may be playing in a German speaking country, but that doesn't mean I can speak German! I hope I'm able to change the language back in the options menu ... if not, what do I do?

This is not good.
I can confirm that for me these switches works. Cache, capture and all stuff did stay where it was. In "My Documents" i get only history.txt thats all. (and yes I was already logged in)
edit: damn Paradox Twin is right, I checked only if folders are there but not if it contain something (as i thought it wont be deleted as it wasnt moved) but i was wrong. All files in capture was deleted only empty directories was left. OMG what a bull****.
I guess its time for some data recovery software as I want my screenies back :(
