I'm at #15 right now, but I think even that queue is so overloaded that people may have issues even getting in it right now

The clients already exist, but I'd prefer to spend my time playing the game, not setting up 20+ overview settings and all of that. Not that I haven't had to do that 10+ times before boggle edit: initial queue: #385, I can deal with that I guess. However it looks like my settings are completely hosed. Any chance of refunding me lost game time? Oh, and what about that downtime over the weekend where the server was basically hosed for all of Friday US primetime? I am not one to pay for a service where the service is not as described to me up front... i.e. EPIC SPACE^H^H^H^H^HLAG BATTLES

And I want to have these under THE game folder where I have installed the game, not under some stupid My Documents folder on another partition. What if I need to swap my hard drives from time to time? By keeping the game settings and whatever to the game folder only, I don't have to remember to copy freaking EVE folder from My Documents too (if I want to keep my screenshots, chatlogs, etc.). And "just a folder with sub folders" in the place where I don't want to have it, is not a "just folder". The patch file appears to be invalid. Please download and install the patch again." First time I downloaded patch with client, second time from EVE site. Using Windows Vista.

I hope it doesnt brake anything. All my overview and ingame Settings are the same as I set them up in SISI. Maybe make a folder for each Server (something like EVE/, EVE_test/, EVE_test2).

( C:\Program Files\EVE\My Documents ) Create a starteve.cmd file put this as a content: set USERPROFILE="C:\Program Files\EVE" Start "eve" "C:\Program Files\EVE\eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF Exit And now run the starteve.cmd Side effects: If the My Documents directory is not existing, or the USERPROFILE setting is incorrect, then when you start the program, you do not get the login screen, but the program is running in the background. Miter	Posted - 2007.06.19 23:12:00 - [58] Forcing gaming data onto the C: drive messes up 3 classes of your players: 1) People who wish to keep only OS files on drive C and keep all data on another drive. 2) People who run more than one account from their machine, which will now apparently write to the same files, mixing things up, with unknown results if two clients running at once write to the same file. 3) People who try to keep the cache directory on a RAM disk for extra speed. So, please, take the person who made the decision to comply with some stupid Microsoft guidelines out behind the shed and beat them with a leather strap. Then, give us the option of keeping all data where it previously lived -- the /LUA:OFF switch as I understand it only keeps the Settings in the original place, not the rest of the cached data. Thank you.
