Got booted about 2 hours ago, then login froze my PC at the 'Entering Game as...' stage. Now I'm getting STATUS UNKNOWN.
Anyone else in the same situation?
Anyone else loosing training time?
Anyone else drinking coffee and wondering what is going on?

Join the party.
Been nearly 2 weeks of this for me. Check the other thread named "Cant log in... at all" for a long discussion and some ranting from me.

i have more than skills to change, i have pos that need fueling
i am getting worried now - how long is it going to be like this - will this be the straw that broke the camels back for many, cause i have to tell you i am damm close myself. 2.5 years playing this game now and its so nearly not worth it - its lost its magic for sure. where bloody Eve TV is more important than the game running and working and telling people what is going on - ccp you are loosing it for sure

Hmmmm... its been a few hours now and I suppose I should find something more constructive to do than moaning, naahhh moaning is fun!
JOKE: How many CCP programmers does it take to change a light-bulb? ANSWER: 1 more than they currently employ :)
To be honest this is the first problem I've had for a while and CCP have improved the game since I started playing, I'm just pi**ed off coz I need to start a new skill.

Edited by: Komac on 25/06/2007 21:17:52 Oh nononononono. *Just* started for me today, having made no changes to the client or to my network, that I know of. I open up the client, then after 5 minutes of finding Tranq's status, it reverts to Status: Unknown.
Will keep you posted.
EDIT: Could you guys post your ISPs? Mine's Tiscali, and I literally want to destroy their headquarters due to a variety of different problems in the past year, which may now include this.

Yep Tiscali here too!
I've had evening problems with Eve before due to Tiscali (a few months ago), so I guess everything should be ok in a few hours...I hope.

most people who get this problem seem to have a common isp, but i'm sorry to tell you that if you're able to run a trace to TQ then the isp probably cant fix it.
seems TQ is taking a dislike to certain ISP's maybe? tiscali in the UK and clearwire in Ireland.

ok the devs have me running ping plotter and there is a high packet loss for me about half way, i will leave this running and see but i am giving up for the night.
www.pingplotter.com - very useful tool (download the free 30 trial)
i could ping it and saw a route - until i ran this software i couldnt see how much stuff failed to get through to the server.

Same problem here, Tisacli too.
Will call them tomorrow and shout at them a bit. Even if it does nothing for my eve playing ability, it will at least make me feel good.

Same problem here too, was in the game fine earlier on, then randomly disconnected during play and havent been able to log back in since. Have just finished reinstalling the game, same thing. My ISP is Pipex, who are now running on the Tiscali network.

Your current bandwidth reading is:
935.40kbps
not exactly what i pay for
and over 80% packet loss with pingplotter to eve server

In case you don't know, Tiscali run 2 forms of bandwidth management.
One is Traffic Shaping, where they throttle your connection speed. Tyr to watch youtube video's during the evening and you'll prolly get bored of waiting for an hour for a 3 min clip.
The second, and the one that I think we're running into here, is blocking of P2P applications like Limewire, Azuereous, etc during prime time hours of 6PM and 12PM.
Somehow the packets EVE are sending are getting flagged and discarded, hence the pings / tracerts being ok, but not actually being able to connect.
It's 23.55 now, and if eveonline works in 5 mins, then I guess I'm right.
