Exactly my point. However, I suppose since Eclipse really cannot find any problems, they either say "wait 48 hours" or "we're clueless, sorry.".. Still, I'd prefer honesty (The latter response) rather than a cop-out flip-chart answer (The first response).
Oh well, wait and see, I guess.

Personally, I hadn't experienced a single problem, aside from the common mild lag, and my pc rebooting (Non-related issue) until this morning, at around 9am. And since then, I've not been able to stay connected for more than 30 minutes at it's best (And that was sitting idle in station, too scared to undock)

I can assure you (all of you) one thing, if the problem still presents itself tommorow, I'll be back on the phone to Eclipse managment, and failing that I'll be placing an international call to somewhere far, far away, in a distant land... Well, CCP at any rate.

We have a possible solution for this problem...
It seems that everyone is routing through Lime Light that is expericing this issue...
We do not have direct communication with Eclipse but if a customer of this ISP wants to pass along that they can change the BGP route that they use to reach us to go through L3, our secondary pipe.
OUR AS number for BGP is 35834
There are 2 BGP routes to get to us those being 22822 for Lime Light (which apparently is giving you problems) and 3356 for L3.
If you could please tell your ISP to change there routes for our AS number "35834" to use AS number "3356" that will route you gents to our secondary pipe.

You're really working overtime on this. Good work. :)
Im not affected by this problem, but I like to see people do what they can to help. Thanks to John Proctor as well, but that goes without saying. :)

Hey Xaltor, apologies for my dissapearance for half the day, been getting my new hardware to work whilst unable to play EVE.
I just managed to log in, even though previous tries about 10 minutes ago I could not, so the problem could be resolved now.
Also I think a big thanks is in order for Eclipse for their amazing customer support, CCP for their co-operation in the matter and Xaltor for keeping us all updated and working vigilantly on this

Well, I'm on hold with them still, and I will remain such until they answer, or my phone battery goes dead. I tried to connect a few minutes ago, only to be met with a "Disconnected from server" box. :(
I'd also like to thank all of those who've given input with this problem, and also those who've just chimed in with some moral support!
And, of course, I agree with your sentiment. Eclipse have been VERY helpful, even though I'm sure they're getting fed up of my calls. Thank god for caller-id blocking :D
And to CCP, who have been extremely co-operative so far. Proof once again that CCp *do* care about their customerbase, contary to what a lot of people seem to say.

Edited by: Mazaron on 15/08/2007 18:13:08 I've managed to stay connected since my last post, just undocked (was sitting in station just incase. It appears the problem is solved for me, for now.
EDIT: Whilst I am connected, I can say things in the chat, my overview doesn't update, I can't warp and the belt won't load now. Imminent disconnect I believe.

Okay, update on the situation...
Details from the CCPBigBoys has been passed on to Eclipse, they have passed those details on to their internal-services department, who are going to look at it ASAP. He says if it's a "simple" fix, we can expect it very soon. Otherwise it might take longer, but either way it's going to be dealt with as soon as possible. And knowing Eclipse, that means very soon. Afterall, 5 minutes after my first call to them they were calling Reykjavik to get some answers. I'm going to be kept in the loop via email, and they have my home fax/phone/mobile numbers.
Obviously, I will keep you all updated as things progress. Let's cross our fingers, folks.

I'm sorry to hear that :( Even though I'm not able to connect, I really wish the rest of you could. >.<

My dad always taught me to find the best in a bad situation.. So I would like to say I'm happy to have discovered more people from the UK on Eve! I was beginning to worry they were rare, but it seems I wasn't totally correct!
Lovely weather, isn't it? >.<
...I can hi-jack my own thread, right? ;)

Edited by: Amaron Ghant on 15/08/2007 18:31:53 Just done 2 l3 missions without problems so it looks like (for me at least) the problem appears to be resolved. Hopefully i'm not being premature here.
Thanks Xaltor for running with this and ccp and eclipse for talking to each other

Haha, I've been attempting to get a few people into EVE, unfortunately a lot of them either prefer other types of games, don't want to pay for monthly subscription games, or simply can't pay :(
Also the problem still continues. I can log in, but other than that I can't warp/dock/look at the market etc.

I truly hope you continue to be free of problems!
You know what the worst thing is about this whole situation? I finally finished off the last skill I needed to get my first cruiser, and outfit it nicely with T2 gear. Money is sitting there, skills are done, ship is bought ready to be equiped.. Frustrating doesn't even *begin* to describe it :D

Yeah, I've tried to get a few converts myself, but run in to the same problems. Mostly it's the desire for something more.. Action-intense, rather than .. Hmm, I dunno, I think eve can be pretty intense. But it takes time, and most of my friends prefer instant-glory. Ahh well :))

Mini-update (Thank god these forums don't stop you from posting in quick succession!)...
Eclipse site is now reporting the support ticket as "With Network Operations", and priority has been elevated from Medium to High.

Looks like EVE is working for me again. They may have fixed it. I can browse the market now and I have added you as a friend on EVE. Best part about the whole lot is I now get to test QoS on my shiny new WRT54GS V1 with DD-WRT firmware. It seems to be working perfectly as I'm downloading at full speed and experiencing no lag in EVE :D
Also remind me, when I'm 18 (I'm 16 at the moment) to buy that guy that works at Eclipse and plays EVE a beer

It would appear that you have been hit the worst by this problem as you can't even see if the server is up or not D': Earliest stage I got disconnected at was loading the station environment.

Indeed, it's quite annoying. A lot of the time I don't even get a "server status" readout when first launching the login-part of the client. Just says "Checking status..." eternally. Oh well, keeping up the faith, and the caffine.

Still.. I really, really want to fly my new cruiser already! ;)
