How did this sad (or good depending on your opinion of us) news come to pass you might ask? It is perhaps a case of being stabbed in the back. The Establishment has been helping Ethereal Dawn escort Freighter convoy's through 0.0. Legion of Death are allies of ED and were told not to shoot at EST Ships. It seems though, that having seen our Capital Fleet in a previous engagement they set a trap for us and caught our convoy in a bubble. Naturally we jumped in our Capital's to defend the Freighters, but it seems backup arrived in the form of an RA Capital Fleet including a Titan. http://www.wearrsoyarr.com
Our relationship with ED is purely for operational reasons. We are not in any way or form Allied with them. We have given ED an NAP at GoonSwarm's request. It is not my problem if you do not wish to notify ED's neighbors of your intent ahead of time - our policy has always been and will always be NBSI. It is unfortunate that this kill took place on an op with mutual friendlies, but EST showed up as neutral in our collective overview.
They kill our merlins - we kill their carriers. They kill our Thanatos - we kill their Aeon. They kill our Tempest - we kill their Nyx.
That is our retribution
Official after action report comming soon.

Here is to the best vessel a captain could ever ask for. She served me well.
I also thank all Hera's fans, friend and foe alike who've amazingly started donating ISK to fund her sucessor. No such action was asked of you and you have my thanks for doing so

NBSI says it all. yesterday someone told (translated for u) "we jumped half-eve to kill mom and now another comes to our system and we do nothing?" so we got ashamed and killed it
thanks to everyone involved, and frankly without RA this won't be possible (and the other way around, i belive )

Still that aside, good trap.

Respect to the old girl, Hera. I've fought her on several occasions and can easily say, it would have been nice to kill her, but the way it was done is the lowest of the low that only Red Alliance and their Russian allies are capable.
I hope you get another Nyx soon to take the fight to them now.

Along with being one of the first motherships to grace Tranquility, Hera was one of, if not the first to be used in direct frontline combat.
It's been a pleasure for myself and my members to fly alongside her in the past, be it a full scale joint campaign or a single chance encounter in space.
On more occasions that I could ever hope to count I've been left in a state of awe at the sheer amount of devestation she could cause with such a skilled and intrepid player at the helm.
Fearless has never been enough of a word to describe how this ship was used, resulting in practically a legedary state of reputation among everyone who came into contact with her.
Nothing more can be said other than Hera was one of the first, is so far probably the longest surviving, and has seen more frontline combat than any other mothership on Tranquility.

Firstly, RIP a damn good ship.
I had a long history with this ship. In my opening days as an FC in the 9uy pirate war I used to loath seeing her jump into system. Later on when we tried to trap her I spent many hours planning how to bring about her ultimate end.
After the pirate war i spent a lot of time skirmishing with EST and lost still more ships to her and again attempted killing blows / traps :P
Having EST on side for the second assault on 9uy, having her there in x-r3 when we dropped CVA's Capital ship yard, this ship was an awe inspiring sight.
This ship had history, its commander has class (and balls of steel!). Sad way to go to a trap but good that you went down swinging. Hope to see your new incarnation :P
Originally by: laotse what is this hame coing to if the loss of a ship need,s a post pfffff get over it and move on sissi
perhaps go troll elsewhere? I appreciate that the way that tyraxx loses unique ships it may seem that a thread per major losses would clog this board but thats no reason to spoil other peoples fun now is it :P

Edited by: WildSide on 25/08/2007 00:12:47 all respect to EST and exp Raw.
I was accually wvery sad when I read the news. Remeber back as a 2mill ASS noob the first glimps of Hera...with respect and fear. Was the first mothership I ever saw...and is the mothership that IS THE MOTHERSHIP in my eyes. THe others is just a number.
Too bad it went down while to a such accidence....Should atleast been a proper reason, not backstabbed by some reds, friendly or not.
Hope u will get a new one...as u farmed cnrs and mission ravens well over the months:)
repect..and 1 min silence for Hera!

Telling my alliance members in local - who have no say in our alliance politics - that you're working for ED is not official information. If you really wanted this to be made official you would have informed us through diplomatic channels ahead of time. No communication from you came into our channels.
Something tells me you were not working for ED but you made an agreement with them to build a supercap for you and wanted to keep this hush hush, but looks like it blew up in your face. But that's just speculation .

Im not gonna bash any further over the whole incident. Hera is dead, the deed is now done.
As for our relationship with ED, you can speculate all you want but you'll find the truth rather dull and boring.
I doubt they will afterall they even swear in their corp description they are that cool, I mean how cool is that?
