when come back, develop social skills?? i mean seriously, you have zero understanding of the ships history, zero understaning of how well it has been used in the past and... well lets be honest you're fulfilling and reinforcing the opinion most people have of goons.
Stop smacking, stop acting like you have a clue, stop making a fool of yourself. If you feel the need to respond, either have something construtive to say or just leave the thread alone. Posting utter bull on the thread because you have epeen issues adds nothing useful.

Edited by: Rawthorm on 25/08/2007 15:28:12 I do feel I need to clarfiy something here (despite that it wont change a thing) I'm not so much bothered that xxdeathxx and RA attacked us. We've ****ed off alot of people, as being a pirate tends to do that. Hera's eventual death was inevitable.
What I am bothered about, is that they cost their own allies (Ethreal Dawn) considerable loss just to get a shot at killing Hera. They knew we had ED property on board yet they set us up and went ahead with it regardless.
You can put all the spin you want on it but the fact remains you wantedly destroyed your own allies property to get to us, and with not so much as an apology or an offer of re-imbersement. THAT is what I have a problem with.

Nothing, it was our return trip so all Freighters were empty.
Come now, if you're going to get angry, you might at least check that your own alliance members don't outright contradict you.
Unless you're claiming that even though it was the return trip and you'd supposedly emptied out at your destination, you'd decided to keep some of their stuff?
Maybe this ED property was just too shiny for you not to steal it

So by 'They knew we had ED property on board' you meant 'the ships themselves? You were flying ships belonging to ED, who decided they'd be safer under your ticker because blargle bleup? That's interesting, and completely unbelievable.
And why, exactly, was your mothership carrying valuable property away from the destination, into battle? Any ED want to chime in?

Much respect to EST and Hera, truely an unfortunate loss. Only supercap i've personally seen, and I was fortunate to be in friendly ops all the times I saw her.
As to what was EDs, there's a good chance some of the ships in the hanger array were ours, may have loaned out carriers (some of us have spares to go with our spare clones), high probability of some loaned freighters - after all some of us have 5 or 6 floating around near various clones and operations. Unfortunatly I wasn't around or involved in the planning or diplomatic aspects, since this strange thing called First Life has been a pain in my arse lately; so my understanding is limited.
To the haters and trolls, can it. In the end she went down fighting as well as she could, considering the what has come out about the fight, and that's the mark of a true warrior. Just for that respect is deserved. -- "There are over 500 million fire arms in worldwide circulation. That is one fire arm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is... How do we arm the other eleven?"

Originally by: Cefte Insert trolling stuff here
I had hoped not to have to post on these god awful forums, but having been there and actually having been shot at I guess I should.
I had assets that needed moving from our space to empire for sale. It was ultimately a safer bet to throw it inside the Establishment's mothership than have it fly by vulnerable hauler or sit loose inside a freighter. Many of said freighters were owned by myself and given to any pilot willing to fly them, both Establishment and other corporations as no one in the alliance had the time to spare.
When the first interdictor bubble went up, I asked for the Nyx to be jumped in to remote repair the freighters while the attacking force was reminded who they belonged to. I had no idea that half of a supposedly allied force was going to jump in and blow us away. I personally have been on every convoy and informed the locals on the intent of the convoy. Yes I could have contacted an official diplomat for standings, but again I didnÆt believe that we would have a major allied fleet dropped on us despite me personally informing every local we saw what the deal was.
There simply is no excuse on the part of the attacking force. They were informed in no uncertain terms that Establishment were carrying our property. Further more, on my instruction Establishment deliberately allowed all normal local traffic to pass unhindered and had agreed not to pirate the local area. The only non-hostile local that was harmed was a single Legion of xXDEATHXx Myrmidon that refused to break off its attack on our convoy earlier in the week. After this we were told repeatedly by different members of xXDEATHXx that we would be left alone. They may not have been directors that I know of but where I come from a corporation is responsible for the members on its roster and any such promises should not have been used as a cheap way to lay a trap.
In either case IÆve said my piece here and any further correspondence from me will be done in game where it belongs.

The final tally of Hera (according to EST kb):
approx: 1900 kills of which 784 were battleships, 23 were carriers, 14 were freighters, and 5 were dreadnaughts!
191 BILLION isk in damage done!
I aim to say this ship was one of the, if not the most deadly ship of her time?

Edited by: Mc Leech on 25/08/2007 17:19:22 Let me paint a picture from our point of view:
A. A known pirate corporation that as was mention has -10 standing to RA was escorting neutral freighters to ED station.
LetÆs see, if you are a pirate corp. living in low sec where would you build your capital ships, hmmm....
B. They escorting freighters for 2 days in a row with "unknown ED property" (lol)
This means at least 2 mothers or a titan.
Yes as much as I want to believe that EST are such a swell guys and decided to give you a hand moving 30+ freighters with "your property" I would say chances of that to be true are about 1:1000000. The fact that you did not in any way try to contact RA or GS leadership to inform them on this op only proves that.
So here are the facts: ED was in a gang with our enemies helping to move neutral freighters without informing us of their intents. Not only I donÆt think we did anything wrong, but if anyone was backstabbing someone it was ED backstabbing us by working with our enemies.
The only thing ED has a right to ask Legion of xxDeathxx for right now is to adjust their standing downward. If thatÆs what you want feel free to contact our diplomat we will be happy to comply...

It's somewhat mystifying that you decided your possessions would be safer in the hands of an entity that's run around indiscriminately pirating most of 0.0 and lowsec. You need a little more diplomacy than just "no wait that's our stuff aaaaa" to get your blues on board with the idea, particularly when that excuse sounded (and still sounds) suspiciously like a last-ditch attempt to cover for EST under the circumstances.
EST's mothership was a pretty fearsome war machine, perhaps you should have put a bit more thought into unilaterally attempting to treat and use it like the cuddly carebear spacebus. Signature removed - please email us to find out why (include a link) - Jacques([email protected]) |

Different people having different opinions?
I'm not really sure why goons are trolling this thread so hard aside from the way EST/ED have been whining about the circumstances surrounding the loss. That mothership was pretty much an endless fountain of comedic overkill. In particular, it's responsible for the loss of Eldoreth's carrier (Goonfleet's timecarded carrier pilot newbie [he quit]) which led to one of the funniest threads on our forums in recent memory. kinda weird isnt it....even Infod had more respect for that blue is blue than the big alliances like red and xxdeath. they seem like a bunch of loose-cannons looking for eve-o forum cheastbeating kill stuff. Even ED and INFOD is bitter enemys infod still holded their packt..not trying to kill the neutral freighters, since some days before EST was set to blue for a short periode, after the freighter inicodent , some days before. RA even reaviled their Titan , inc type and titan pilot to kill a "nuetral" ms(which was helping blues) and blue freighters ues, while been in heavy war with Bob.
