I'm sorry, started to listen, but they were talking about Tesla being from another planet, the face on Mars (just a mountain)...
Honestly, how can any of you take this crap seriously?
Don't get me wrong, it's cool to think about it, but that's fantasy, not reality...
I just listened to it again - they were talking about somebody else theorizing that he was from another planet, not they themselves believing that...

If you were looking at this phenomenon with aliens for the first time, what would you think? You would be curious, right?
But ever since 1947, the existence of other civilizations have been ridiculed by the mainstream media. Do you think this is an accident? That you think the way you do because of some natural law? No. You have learned it.
If you just look at it with an open mind, its very interesting. It really is. Im not saying that everything makes sense, but some things do.
I actually dont understand how anyone can NOT find it interesting. We may not be alone in the universe. There may be a large number of other species out there.
I was at the stage you are at now, all through my teens & twenties.
Then I realized there is just no substantial evidence... Just people telling stories.
I need more than just stories & crappy pictures...
I started thinking about alien life when I was 4, watching the Jetson's. I blew my Mom away at that age when I asked her about alien life...
I am interested, very interested. I'm also sick of disappointment & no real science to the issue.
SETI is real science, they have not found anything yet. When they do, I'll get interested again...

I find NASA's position very difficult to understand. Theres so much hype and c*ap about the photographs of the Cydonia region on Mars, with NASA coming under real pressure, you would think an opportunity to put things straight would be very attractive to them.
"There can only be so many 'top priorities,' and if everything is #1 priority we'll never get there.
We have a much higher-resolution capability with this mission, and I'll ask Wes [Huntress, Associate NASA Administrator for Space Science] to handle the details. We have the mission planned and targeted, and if we have an opportunity to get a picture of what some people think is a Face on Mars' and could have been prior -- not single-celled life but a higher level of life--; if we have a chance to get a higher-resolution picture to see what that is, we will do that." Dan Goldin, NASA Administrator
That was in answer to a request to re-photograph the Cydonia region on Mars - the area with the supposed 'face of Mars'.

McKinley hacker says he found evidence of UFO's UFO's on the moon Astronaut conversations on the moon
I think your views on this are as misguided as your Cheney thread... You do realize the media in the US is over ~70% liberal right? And Fox News, etc are not as far right as many outlets are far left... It's just absurd to think the way you do about government and how they can order the media to do anything. The media despises government unless there is a Democrat in office... It's hard for me to believe you are this ignorant... I think your emotions are clouding your judgment on this issue and the UFO issue...
Yes government does not tell the whole truth, or withholds information from the public. But I'm sorry, ALL governments do this. They always have, and they always will...
Honestly, you're a very paranoid person...
If NASA is lying, then go out yourself and prove it by bringing back the video evidence required to make your case. Up to this point, NO UFO researcher has been able to do that.
Why do you think that is exactly?

Now, lets go back to my post which you quoted. The point I was trying to make was, NASA's attitude to the request to re-photograph, in high definition, the Cydonia region on Mars. There are astronauts been quoted they have seen unidentifieds in space, there are military and civil pilots quoted as having seen unidentifieds whilst flying and on radar. Now we have an object on Mars thats doesnt move and wont be going away anytime soon.
And neither will the suspicion and the differing accounts of what that exactly is on Mars in Cydonia.
I think the answer is a very simple one: Re-photograph the whole Cydonia area in high definition and in real time, as has been requested. Simple. That would put the whole thing to bed once and for all.

DUDE, both NASA and the esa have already looked at the regioin again, WTF else do you want?
There is nothing there! Just like what NASA said back in the 70's...
Are you saying the esa is in on the Cydonia coverup as well?

Calm down
Try and see it from a neutral point of view. Two camps saying two different things.
I see Cydonia as a good opportunity to stop the speculation - and as for what NASA did in the seventies, we have much much better technology today to give us the answer beyond a doubt.

I went to all the linx on the cydonia area, nothing there even remotely looks like a face. the original picture is 13.7m per pixel, the new ones from 2001 are 1.74m per pixel: there is nothing worth our time on cydonia.
Extraterrestial life is one thing, having them live on mars is another. Mars had a similar atmosphere to the earth, but it was wiped out fairly soon in Mars' existence, therefore it never managed to develop anything even remotely advanced. I like the whole ET discussion, I don't like the tinfoil hattery of little green men on the moon and/or mars. ----------------------------------------------- "post with your main. delete your alt, you sad little exploiting metagamer."

Originally by: Danton Marcellus Blink of an eye, that how long we'll exist for, the math just doesn't support alien visitations. Out of all the planets that can sustain life would they have sentient life at this very point in time and would these be capable of travelling great distances in a short period of time?
Sure there might be many species out there at this point, sentient and reasonably evolved but if they're just about our level we won't ever meet them.
It would seem that what you are saying would shatter any other logical conclusion based off of what we know.
But what science knows about the Universe is infintesimally small. They get it wrong 99% of the time. This is because with our limited tools and the perspective of the physics of the environment that we live in (Earth) it is extremely difficult to imagine the impossible.
For example, when the viking missions went to mars, the air was let out of the balloon because it was discovered that Martian atmosphere was mostly C02. Scientist concluded right there that there was no way life could live in that environment because there was insufficient oxygen levels in the atmosphere.
So far, they are still correct but not for that reason. There are organisms living near volcanic vents breathing boiling water that is highly toxic/acidic to humans and all land animals. Why would it be impossible or improbable that an organism can sustain life on a planet like mars? Or even harsher planets or moons for that matter.
I said that to say this. It is sooooooo important that we are very liberal with the scientific method when it comes to this subject because the way we view the universe right now is something like trying to figure out what show you are watching on a muted television set with your face smashed up against it. We see lights and colors....the toenail of a elephant. We see things, but really cannot determine if they are an effect of something else or the real deal. We dont have the big picture.
You cant deduce something correctly with Hakims Razor because you have to know all elements and variables of an event to figure out what the simplest explanation is.
Therefore, our own solarsystem could be absolutely TEAMING with life, but we dont know how to look for it.
No-one cares about intelligent energy fields. Does the term dog eat dog mean anything to you? If it's not percieved as an equal it'll be used as a resource and we'll be no less alone than we are now with the canned dolphins/tuna.

Well I watched the first link where he more or less just advertised the DVD for sale. And I caught the second link and that made me giggle. First they set the camera on the field on the left. You can call the static on the screen anything you want but that can happen by messing with the I/O cables. Then they got great footage of a car going down the road for the lights going across the fields factor. And finally they pan right to the other field to show this mysterious crop circle that formed out of no where.
I'll be taking a look at the other links but so far I'm not impressed by the 'proof'.

Indeed. It just shows how some people just crave the tinfoil.
It is quite scary that some people still belive its aliens who created crop circles when the people who did it has come out and showed how they did it. Its scary that some people refuse to remove the tinfoil when presented with evidence that contradicts their beliefs.
And its scary when people are willing to belive in conspiracies and government cover up's when there is NO evidence what so ever to back up their claims. Their arguments are always 'they hid the evidence' or 'there are witness reports'.

Well, as you can see, there are plenty of people still doubting it. It doesnt matter that 400 people with previous top secret clearance come together and talk about what they see. Skeptics think its more likely that they just want attention. I think the disclosure project is real. What these people have seen is real. Believing that apparently makes me a gullible tinfoil conspiracy nut case. Well, so be it.

Well the fact is, that in my personal experience I have yet to encounter any direct or indirect indication that we were or are being visited by alien life forms. I go to work, eat, sleep, play etc. every day without it affecting ME in the least. The same holds true for the majority of other people out there.
Sure, all those Disclosure projects videos and evidence can make you consider the possibility and I'll go as far as saying that I can believe it. But believeing and knowing for sure are two very different things.
We won't know anything for sure until either a big as UFO appears over every major city in the world at the same time or somebody really important (like one of the presidents of a G7 country) holds a press conference and gives all the known facts. ------------------------ I don't believe in sigs. |

Yes thats about it in a nutshell Darwinia. There are opposing groups saying different things.
Jim, maybe a better question to ask is something like: Do you believe the major governments of the world are preparing the global community for certain revelations regarding some ufo sightings (Belgium for instance) and anomalies on Mars and possibly the moon, especially when you consider witness validity in the Disclosure Project for example.
