I'm not a PVP Pilot at all, I am a long time EVE player of 4 years and a Diehard Miner. So enough about little me in the Big World of EVE.
FACT: RoadKill/SMASH far out Number IO. 2 Very Large Alliance again a small alliance.
FACT: RK/SMASH Invaded IO Sov.
FACT: RK/SMASH Intel fail them not knowing of the MAD PACT.
FACT: RK/SMASH had total control of the MJ system with at lease a Fleet of 200 in local and set shop with (at lease) 2 POS of their own.
FACT: MAD PACT responded with close to 200 ships into the TDP System next to MJ.
FACT: RK/SMASH bubbled the TDP Gate in MJ.
FACT: RK/SMASH control IO SOV and the MJ system with a Large Fleet and Large Bubbles on the gates and thinking No way the MAD PACT was going to jump into the Bubble against their Large Fleet, which again was close 200 ships as well.
FACT: MAD PACT JUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!! The rest is EVE history now.
FACT: RK/Smash lost 7 CAP SHIP, MAD PACT NONE!!
FACT: RK/SMASH Lost countless numbers of BS. BS were popping off like fireworks on a New Year EVE sky. The Battle were very fairly even in number. RK/SMACK will not post their loses but the fact is, their loses were very high, I'm talking very high. I want to salute the commanders of the MAD PACT for their control of the Fleet and awesome Fleet Tactics, I salute you all. These are FACT I was there and saw it all. FACT: MAD PACT NOW Control MJ. IO has its Sov control.
FACT: We are left with some tactical questions to RK/Smash...here are only a few and I am sure more will follow.....Why did you all have a carrier inside the bubble, a DREAD with Large guns on it, in other words battleship mods? Why did your intel fail you so badly? . That is a clear sign that you really didn't understand the will of the MAD PACT at all, Many Corps, Many Alliances, 1 PACT and we will respond and will not quit.
SMACK: Anything other then the facts.

I think MAD should let smashkill live, you've proven your point, i suspect smashkill will now slowly become your pets.

To be honest before about 2 weeks ago I'd never heard of IO at all. First thing I heard about them was, 'so there's this outpost 12 jumps away, 1 tower is offline, another is a small... there are only 6 moons etc...'
Was Tre Kroner a member ? Who isn't ?
If its in drone space it's probably part of MAD pact (aside of RA/Goon). Even if its blue to you. I was hearing about some alliances chaning their standings after MJ- attack to Smashkill and such.

I'm pretty new to the drone region but when i heard that someone went to war out our way and we could join in, i thought YAY! i don't have to fly 54 jumps to KOS space to shoot something! The most basic of reasons that so many drone region pilots came to their aid was that we didn't have to fly far to shoot something! we are kinda like an ant hill. from the outside we look benign enough, but stir us up and we all boil out looking for something to kill.

I was there- SMASHKILL didn't warp to the gate to 'see what happens'. You had the gate bubbled and were on it with caps there, some ships in the bubble, some BSes at snipe range presumably (I'd hope) aligned and waiting for us to jump into you. SMASHKILL had every advantage.
We had no caps on jump-in, ours only arrived just as the last of your carriers/dreads were going down.
Also, I'd love to see a killboard that showed 300 people in the MAD gang, because...thats well entirely wrong, our gang was 200ish prior to jumping in, and the jump was optional as we expected to die horribly (as most people would expect jumping into an even numbered fleet bubbled at a gate) so I think the jump-in numbers were closer to 170 or so. |

Pretty much the only residents who aren't a part of MAD were those that resided in the 7-k region. Chaos Incarnate never was, in fact when they set up their station they claimed they were friends of yours. 7-k was never claimed by any of us, and has been largely a hole where various outfits set up for a time, then collapsed, until, as I gather, pure and smash decided to claim parts of it.
GUARD was. But they became belligerant neighbors and claimed all sorts of things that weren't theirs, and tried to push other MAD pact members out of systems they already owned with threats and bluster. This is the kind of neighbor we hate. Sound familiar?
Tre Kroner, well that was between them and Rule of Three. Basically they had a couple of towers in a station system with a huge number of moons, refused to bolster their security and were threat. Because they might attract, you know, hostile neighbors who wanted to grab a station and we'd be involved in one of these. Turns out that was a reasonable fear, eh?
Proper Response/Stella Polar set themselves up without becoming the kind of friendly neighbors our other drone region allies are, and then started doing roaming squads all over the region. While we don't mind pew, there's no reason we have to let it live in the system next door. So we pushed them out.
Which, incidentally, is where Imperial Order comes in, because they basically took over the space held by one of the other of those. I forget which.
We don't keep a public list, but you should let your diplomats know it never hurts to ask first, since, hell, some of us were blue to you.

A lot of the trash talk here is immature, and I am talking about both sides of the conflict (especially my fellow MAD Pact members -- please keep this clean and civil)
Here's what happened: Smashkill attacked IO's system looking for a fight. Of course they knew about MAD pact. Of course they expected 100-200 ship fleet to come soon enough after the attack. Smashkill was looking for a big fight, and we are glad, because we could use a big fight as well. The whole MAD vs. Smashkill conflict has been long in the making -- we had had small fights all over the place, so most of us saw a big one coming.
We all moved to 0.0 looking for conflict, and wars, and here's one of them. What's not to love? Lets keep it clean, and blow each other's ships till cows come home.

Quote: In the first and most decisive battle you were not outnumbered to any great extent and you had the advantage of bubbles and large cap fleet support and you still lost very heavily (and before you cry "lag" it affected both sides and we had to jump into you).
Didn't say we were outnumbered in every engagement did I? And I didn't and dont plan to "cry lag"
Quote: In every engagement where the numbers were pretty much even you have had heavy losses, your only real "win" that I am aware of being where you had an organised 70 man gang attacking a 40 man gang that rushed unprepared to defend.
I dont know if there is any truth in that statment or not. Personally I have lost a BS and a HAC so far.. pretty much paid for them with loot. So on a personal level it's all pretty good. My own experience has shown a few nights where your numbers in mj- are consistently greater than ours in wnm- / wherever else we are. Which is what I based my outnumbered statement on. I dont see how you can say that Smash and Roadkill outnumber your coalition....??
Quote: I can understand you trying to play the "OMG we are blobbed" card to hide your defeats but most nights in MJ- you could have come there with fairly even numbers if you had been minded to do so.
What OMG we are blobbed card? You are just making stuff up now. With the greatest of respect "Less of us to die and more of you to kill" is my motto.
Quote: Anyway, any truth to the rumours you have asked Tri to come and bail you out?
No idea.. I just log in to shoot stuff. Dont really care much in all honesty. if they want to come pew pew with us then whatever...
Quote: Tbh I would be surprised if they would want to swap one laggy POS war in BKG for another so soon, but that's up to them ofc.
No idea.. probably right.. unless they feel they want to fight along side smash and roadkill?

A highly accurate account, while some are saying that they popped so many capitals and they lost none while dancing around is not entirely accurate. The above statement points out small to large skirmishes involving mainly two parties in the current conflict. While the loss of capitals is painful we are not the only ones to do so, and before you go all postal on my ass look at the kill boards.
As far as he said she said, what does it matter? I am certainly no leader, someone calls primary and I lock and do my best to insta pop. I set my overview to show red/neutral, I and many others dont decide who is red and why. All I know is I am by the end of our engagements left shacking and full of adrenaline........bloody amazing battles and worth every cent I pay!

I'm pretty sure most of our friends won't show up unless we end up on the defensive, and I can guarantee you don't have a clue who they all are. And yes, they're blue to you at the moment. ;)
Those who you 'think' we're trying to bring to the party, are not our friends. People looking for a fight maybe. And that's the worst kept secret about. It wouldn't be that hard to find out who our other friends are, but you're not going to find it by sniffing around who you think is showing up now.
The funny thing is that no one seems to even try to engage us without spies on TS anymore :o it's quite sad.
