Haven't had this much fun since Paragon Soul  .
But the highlight of the whole experience is having pilots from 9 (that's right - NINE) different alliances on my Killmail *LOL*.
Oh yeah, I do suck in PvP (the joys of being support hehe).

no such thing as a fair and even numbered fight in eve well there is we call it testing reps and weps..
but honestly i dont want to fight RK or SMASH its boring and u smack local too much..
dont think the first encounter was a good fight at all i just had to do it like alot of other frege pilots has to so we can keep our space and allies..
it was a long boring night with about 1-2 hours of slideshow explosions..
didnt loose my T2 tackler came close tho a few times..
oh and yes we did outnumber u with about 50 ships so what ?
dont think any side accomplished much else than too loose alot of ships pos and pods..
in retrospect: anticipated outcome. no adrenalin rush.
i fail to see the masterplan from smashkill please someone explain this to me and please do it in a serious manner !!!

In regards to your post, as a 'grunt' the pvp I am getting involved with has been the best of my eve career to date. Maybe because we are starting to get the upper hand or because I don't lag unless the node dies? I Don't know, but either way - its damn awesome.
As for our intentions, I believe its been posted multiple times - to remove a possible security risk and fortify the outskirts of our region. That and I still think Scooter's ****ed about his command loss to a blue pilot ;) either way, we are there to take that system and that outpost and I can guarantee we arent gna budge until we have it.
Keep bringing the fights, its awesome fun between pos-shooting, breaks the boredom :)

I am all for pew-pew and letting in game stuff settle things.
The problem I am having is people claiming kill ratios and kill stats when they clearly have no idea how badly their side is at posting losses.
Intrepid has been having folks go through all the Mad Pact killboards as well as through the enemies killboards since this started and while we have been finding some missing Mad Pact losses posted, we are finding HUGE amounts of missing enemy loss posts. I will provide numerous examples to any Roadkill or Smash leadership that want them.
Smack how you want but for God's sake, enough with the embarassing numbers postings.

K u know how we solve the whole "not posting losses issue" even though its already been stated... You contact RK... we link KBs... and then problem solved. Guessin' u really don't wanna do that though. 
But ofc... since ya'll are 9 alliances wouldn't guess the mighty snackpak has a single KB to see total losses... Since ofc IC may not take many losses if your not even there... same w/ the rest... we'll just have to pool all the KBs at the end from snackpak to get a good ratio if we wanna get techincal.. personally once RK has the station think that just says it all.

Neither side in this conflict is exactly covering themselves with glory and both have done some incredibly stupid things to date and have suffered huge losses.
All the smack from both sides in this thread is pretty hilarious, its like two fat kids arguing about who is the most badass when tbh neither side has anything much to crow about from what I have seen to date.
Some of the stuff on our (MADpact) side like the POS set-ups in MJ-, people logging off in the station despite you telling them 100 times not to etc etc is painful to see and smashkill, you guys have lost 30bn isk in ships and pretty much all of the EU tz fleet battles against people you view as carebears.
How about we stop embaressing ourselves and just leave it to the game.

I'm sure SMASH is horrible. We have no policy about posting losses and we don't really care. It's bad practice to look on your own killboard for losses. I'm pretty sure we don't post all the kills either (though I'm sure there's some ego-play going on there).
SMASH do not maintain that our killboard is accurate, it's not there for your benefit so we really don't care. Even if it was 100% accurate, it would still be a really crap way of proving anything.
People aren't going on killboards, they're going based on what they've seen in the engagements they've been in. Which again, is only accurate for those engagements since people obviously sleep sometimes.
Anyway, what is worth more, killing the BS of a guy that has 6 more lined up, or killing a BS of a guy that is now out ratting in a cruiser ;) Losses are not so important unless they prevent people from fielding ships again. Morale is so much more important.

Being able to mostly hold a particular timezone favours the defender, we know, we fought off D2/Razor/Morsus Mihi/Pure/CDC & E-R with just a few hundred members between us a year ago. Because they could never break a POS timed to come out in the US TZ.
Also 30bn isk :o I love how you get that figure. I'd try again on planet earth. Also try and work out what MADPACT have lost I bet you'll be surprised, but then it's alot of effort to visit 9-10 killboards to get what is essentially a number than means nothing.

Add a POS with loads of guns etc which got destroyed and I think its not an unrealistic estimate.
I am not doubting you have got a load of kills on madpact, lets face it a lot of the members are very new to pvp and have a lot to learn, but the fact remains you lost an awful lot of ships to them.

Wow, We have lost a LOT of isk, and yet we are still kicking some serious tail. Glad to know our losses haven't affected us, even better to know that we will eventually win this fight, you must know this.
We have plenty of experienced pvp, and obviously vast amounts of isk at our disposal as we keep comin at ya. Game on!

Seeing as MAD doesn't have a killboard, this is what im looking at. The numbers here are a bit off because they don't factor in SMASH losses or the losses of our other allies.
we seem to be doing ok.
As to us losing a load of ships fighting you, we like losing ships. We are a pvp alliance, losing ships is part of pvp. We are doing what we like to do and we are a unified force. Whereas MAD is 9 alliances who will eventually want to pursue their own objectives rather than babysit in MJ-.

look for kills on own board and for losses on your enemie board
and tbh dread loss isnt 2,5 bil, they give a nice insurence payout ya known, same with the carriers
and yeah we lost 1 pos, so ? io lost 2, and how much ammo/feul did ya guys waste on the posguns yust to see us put a new tower there 
we have np dooing that for a longtime as its funn
and yeah at euro timezone were weak but we stil try it even outnumbered, like the 100 vs 220 at z-e gate few days ago, we loos alot but who cares its a game

Sounds like it has come down to not who is winning, but who is losing less. There is no way to gauge how attrition is working on your enemy. You may be killing billions in assets but if it is being replaced faster than being destroyed then it is pointless to base claims on those figures.
To be clear I am not commenting on either side. This is just to point out that with eve it is very difficult if not impossible to really know how a conflict is progressing just by comparing loses.
Now if we see one fleet shows up in frigs that might add weight to the argument (or it might just be goons reliving the good old days)

As I've said in one of the other posts, I am one of the western time zone diplomat/contact for Roadkill. And I did not know about the MAD pact. It might have changed our attack on mj- but it's over and done now. It's been started.
SMACK... well I've seen alot of it from all sides from pretty much all alliances.. face it.. it's part of the game.. everyone likes to give a good taunt in local :)
Captial losses, both sides have lost several I do belive we have a few more kills on the MAD pact members at this time.
Ship losses however, mad have lost signficant amounts to our fleets. And most all fleet fights we have been outnumbered (not all but most).
Quoting one or two fleet fights with things like we lost x you lost y isn't going to end this fight in mj-. Bottom line is we are here to stay, you can bring the numbers you may push us out from time to time but it's dedication, being there very day, every hour, fighting for the gate, the outpost, and pos locations.
