those self righteous idiots can't run a 290bil IPO without a single scandal every month. alas, shareholders have little power beyond listing those failures after every propganda news post of theirs.
i have 60bil - what would be the best way to put it to work? just give it to IAC/-A-? make some other alliance(s) declare war?

i'd say if your honestly looking to put 60bil towards the killing of iss etc etc, IAC, goons or -A- would be your best bet. Maybe give them 20 each or something, I dunno, Tyrrax (IAC lead) was given a fully fitted Aeon a couple weeks ago by a disgruntled BoB member.
Goons atm are with RA fighting bob directly moreso. IAC, -A- and a bunch others are more or less fighting ISS/MC/FIX/all they're dogs. But ISS space is deep in pet teritory somewhere (too lazy to look) and we need to clean up querious before we can send the taxman to bob's front door.
(now we need an official response from the taxman)

Form up a plan based on Market PVP + actual mercs. If you want we could get together and brainstorm a plan based on three primary principles :
1. Attack them indirectly via market manipulation and threatening their suppliers and friends. Begin a dedicated Merc campaign against companies known to deal with ISS.
2. Hire internal spies : This is difficult but possible. What would someone do for 20 billion isk ? Lets find out.
3. Attack their property directly. Starbases, Members, Outposts.
With sufficient capital (and funding + intel from ISS competition) you could almost completely collapse them.

ISS were notoriously lazy at not using alts to haul stuff to the hubs, i seem to recall. And we're cheap, so it won't make a dent in the 60 bill.

Well With that much isk, there is, at that point, only 2 things you can really do with it. Invest your Isk to make even more ISK. Or, if that isn't your thing, You use your isk for your own pleasure / to change the face of EvE online. But pick something more interesting. You could have ISS blown away for less than that ^^. And screw MC, and more traditional forms of conventional combat.
I would say with this much isk, we take this out of the hands of efficient, and into the realm of legendary and epic.
Privateers would be good. But what would be awesome?
About 3000 T2 Fitted Velators would be awesome, and give them to Goon Swarm. Then send those at ISS and surely, surely they will fall, and it shall be epic.

I've read your posts in market discussion and you are quite upset generally. I hope that this isn't affecting you in rl as really, honestly ISS is not worth the effort. As a former member, I left due to several reasons mostly in the "bad management" related area.
Just realize this, the IPO is different than the alliance. If the alliance wasn't around, the IPO could still survive (I said could, not a definite would).
The ISS died a long time ago. All that remains is an empty hulk of an alliance with no real ties to what is or was important. For the most part, the ones that really were ISS have left, with a few exceptions.
Hurting the people in the alliance isn't going to accomplish what you want to accomplish because as I stated, the IPO is a different beast.
Why not focus your energies on something else worthy of your attention and have fun in Eve. Trust me, when you do you will feel so much better.

With that kind of ISK you could whipe ISS from the map, easy. ISS is fairly small and its existance is entirely reliant on continued profitability. Even a small mercenary force could reduce their profitability to zero.
That said, the best way to go about destroying ISS would be to come up with a complete and integraded strategy combining Empire mercs, 0.0 mercs, and spies. With between 15-20 bil you could hire the best of all three.
Many ISS members run missions and trade in Empire, aside from the usual logistics which are a requirement for any 0.0 entity, and they are all vulnerable to Empire mercs. I am willing to bet that many people would leave ISS if they could not do their Empire carebearing in peace.
Near ISS space, there are a large number of coalition stations which 0.0 mercs could stage out of with minimal diplomatic effort. Even a simple harassment strategy, ala Burn Eden, would weaken ISS to a great extent. As in Empire, there are quite a number of 'carebear' operations which are required to maintain ISS' profitability.
For the third, spies, any group based on greed is entirely too easy to infiltrate. Many Alliances and people already maintain spies in ISS. It would not be difficult to get Coalition Alliances to assist your effort with intelligence-gathering. There are a number of 'mercenary' intelligence services availible, as well.

This is the most well thought out solution I've read yet. The only flaw in this plan is that it relies on significance of member corporations for the ISSO. The team size required to generate a profit for ISSO shareholders is going to be very small and NOT reliant on the number of people in the alliance.
However, Executing the vision of the ISS (whatever that is today) does rely heavily on the ISS member corporations.

bob would crush them in no time for that... or they wouldnt and demand a big part of the ISK. then there would be some fake fights, fake killmails and forum drama. in the end you will be with no ISK and ISS will still stand.

No, don't give it to IAC/-A-. Use it to start a corp of maybe 20 or so really good PvP players, who take the game seriously and enjoy team operation.
Put together a proper fleet, get a mothership and a few dreads, and join IAC as a PVP kill-corp. Every alliance needs more of them.

and, frankly, with devs giving t2 bpos to themselves, balancing mining upgrades with a cpu rig that doesn't exist, come up with macro-mining-supporting ideas to nerf compression without actually stopping it or bring the oneiros "in line" without considering powergrid and med slots, i don't intend to put pressure on my future ISP so i can play eve asap - buuut that's another story -.-

To be honest, donating your money to a major Alliance on the off chance that they might use it to fight against ISS would be moronic, although I'm sure you're well aware of that.
Mercenaries are your best bet, they provide a service for ISK, and if they don't provide the service they don't get paid. If you 'donate' money to someone, they'll likely say "thanks, now **** off."

Whilst trying to be unbias as possible, I don't speak for KIA or do contract negotiations, but I figured i'd answer the question.
There used to be one in crime and punishment, I just took a quick look it appears to have lost its sticky you may however be able to dig it out.
The two larger merc forces in the game MC and KIA Alliance. MC are great at large capital fleet warfare, fighting your wars for you end to end, but are diplomaticly tied to BoB and co, ISS is I believe a BoB renter. I cannot talk for MC, but I don't know if its a contract they would consider but its worth approching them. However they are a little tied up in the McFIX / IAAAC war atm
KIA, we have a smaller capital fleet, and specialise in harrasment, demoalisation and making large areas of space uninhabitable for people for periods of time, great support for another hiring fleet or generally making life unpleasent for people and ruining peoples day to day operations and causing mass disruption, but not really going to take ISS space single handed. However if you wanted a Empire war we haven't had one in a while ;) we have no major political ties or loyaltys, if your isks good you can hire us.
Burn Eden were also mentioned, they are a lot smaller than the above two but are very effective at what they do, they are currently tied up attacking Ka Tet over a hundred million bet they misplaced (lolz)... But they generally do cloaking raven gangs causing pain to people in small groups.
There are a number of smaller merc corps/alliances especially who have poked their head up recently.
Two that spring to mind are Mercenary Services and Coalition of Buccaneers, however I really don't know much about them or their track record.
My advice is if your looking for serious, effective larger scale merc operations to contract the first 3 (KIAeddz for KIA alliance contact, i'm unsure for MC and BE, he's in iceland atm so don't expect a instant response).
And just some general advice, when contacting mercs try to have some goal and contract objectives in mind that you expect in return for your isk, it manages your expectations better and enables them to serve you better.

By the way, your setup needs to be adjusted. Either you have low-honor, or, you don't know how to fit a ship.

sry to all those mails i left unanswered, but... seriously; i'll run this thing like any investment and would like at least the hint of checks&balances over it. trust goes both ways: if you really have nothing to show, don't bother. but creativity is strong in some pod dwellers
as it stands atm, i'll be supporting those already busy down there (more or less directly). spice money hasn't flown yet - still need to wrap my head around some details.
