This problem actually caused me to delay converting a trial to a full account for a year. Each time I'd try to activate, the website would refuse to accept my CC. I'd read in the forums that I wasn't alone with this issue, others also had the issue.
The not being able to post in the forums really sucked. I was basically just out of luck. Perhaps Eve needs to have a billing forum where people can post even if their account is not current?

I got an answer to my petition 6 days after I made it, much patience required. The good news though is when the GM answers he solves it immediately.

Yes, I have this problem too. I have 3 accounts, no problem on 2 of them. The third account, a cap pilot I have been training 15 months and who is 2 HOURS away from flying, I can no longer access because account has been disabled. He is now sitting with no training going on, it has been a week, no response from CCP. I can't even LOG INTO the account to change the credit card or use a timecard. This sucks.

I have problem with pay-by-cash method. I'm pay for my another account, but it is not reactivated in ~20 hours. I'm received mail from pay-by-cash:
"PayByCash has received your payment for EVE Online. PayByCash has attempted to communicate this payment to EVE Online, but that service did not acknowledge your payment. We will retry delivery of your payment to EVE Online later. We are sorry for the delay and will work with the merchant to discover and correct the problem they're having. Our inability to deliver your payment could be caused by one or more of the following reasons:
- temporary Internet congestion preventing communications between our site and the merchant's site, or - their site or a part of their ecommerce system is temporarily unavailable, or - there may be a problem with your account, or - there may be a problem with your order or payment.
When we can successfully deliver your payment to the merchant and get their acknowledgement from their ecommerce system, you will receive a payment confirmation via email. If we are NOT successful, we will escalate the problem to the site's ecommerce or technical engineers for resolution.
We're very sorry for the delay and inconvenience. We are doing everything possible to get your payment credited to your account on EVE Online as soon as possible. If for some reason EVE Online will simply not accept your payment, we will follow this email with further instructions for you.
Thanks for using PayByCash."
Can anyone help me???

Well my problem was my CC company flagging the transactions to CCP as possible stolen card/ID. Problem solved for me.

I bought a mining character last week. I can't activate a new account for that character to be transfered to and the seller can't get the transfer fee authorized on his end so we are both stuck. We have both sent petitions but so far no response.
Is our only option to get in touch with a GM directly?

Eh Ive had an open petition for my other account now for a week. Apprently giving a hump about their customers falls way down on the list for CCP. I would gather they would like for us to be able to renew our subscriptions, however that seems to be to much to ask. Im not going to go through the hassle of buying a GTC to renew an account that should be done automatically on my credit card.

I've been waiting ages to be able to transfer a character to the buyer with no luck waiting for a response from CCP. I got a generic automated message about it and that I should contact them if the problem persisted yet it was never fixed in the first place.
Error not authorized is the only message I get when trying to complete the transfer.

My other account is now on day four since the petition was logged.
Quite frankly - no acknowledgement of the issue on the EVE website, no communication other than a standard reply that the petition has been forwarded to a Billing GM and no solution. VERY poor customer service - come CCP lets get this fixed and quick!

A little update. I petitioned through one of my other accounts since I could not even log into the disabled account. I received a response to try again. I did, was able to successful reset password and log in. However, the account is still disabled and my payment results in a runtime error on their website.

This will be the case for most people. You guys should try calling your CC company. They, after all, are the ones who can stop a payment before CCP get anywhere near it.

No it wont be, try having correct information before laying out blanket statements. CCP updated its cc security and is falsely flagging people for hiding behind IP anonomyzers. When that happens they automatically decline your card before it even reaches you cc company. The only way to resolve it is through a GM ticket.

This was resolved for me last night. I didn't hear back from a GM on the petition again, but I tried to make payment again and it was accepted. The account is no longer disabled and we are back to training.

I hope none of those you're advising are with the bank I used to work for then, because they flag online card usage like this...

And ... time codes are not an option, as every single online retailer I have found so far, only accept personal paypal and not business accounts. And since it is against paypal's TOS to have both a business and a personal account with them, i'm a bit screwed :P

I see there is another poor soul such as myself, who has tried using Pay by Cash to reactivate their account. I submitted payment on 10-21-07 via the Pay by Cash method and have still not been reactivated. I have renewed using this method 8 times in the past and never had a problem. This time I received a automated response from Pay by Cash, that they are looking into the matter but that was two days ago and since then they have ignored my repeated requests for some sort of explaination. Oh, and of course, CCP has not even bothered to respond to my petition, but that is no surprise. It's very frustrating to be left in the dark like this. I would re-submit my payment but I'm afraid that would cause more of an issue than I already have.
gl to you all

Got an answer to my petition. Basically Time cards are the only way to pay for EVE online now. I wonder when they will make the official announcement :(

Edited by: Daniella Trump on 29/10/2007 20:44:54 I had a very similar problem to this AN ENTIRE YEAR AGO. I can't explain it all here because it took me over 6 months to get it fixed, and I'm scared to say anything. I'm scared what they'll do to me if I speak up. I tried to post about it at the time and had my posts removed, even though all I did was calmly and without emotion explain the unbelievable, incredible mess my credit card situation was in.
I've never dealt with any company like this. Every other single company I've ever used had a billing department you could call and talk to. All attempts at calling CCP at their number met with no success.
I'd like to mention that there are 10's of 1000's of small businesses on the web, much smaller than CCP, who seem to be able to do a helluva lot better with billing. I guess we're just not important to them. |

Well this is Junichiro, I thought I had the problem solved. GUESS AGAIN! I have not been able to log on with junichiro since yesterday FFS and my CC will not authorize now despite the block being lifted. No billing Dept to contact and the worst billing system I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. What gives CCP? you don't like paying customers!

I just started having problems myself on my other account. The account got disabled and the billing error I got when I put in my CC details was DOPAYMENT_ORDER_NOT_FOUND. No matter what I do this keeps coming up, and I have yet to receive a response from my petition. My main 6 month term ends mid December and I hope these problems get solved by then or I'm going to be very very angry.

I'm having a similar issue as well. I'm trying to transfer a character to my cousin and I get the error "not authorised" on the transfer page. I've tried the only 2 credit cards I have, both of which are known good.
Some help on the matter from CCP would be appreciated. |

recently both my accounts came up for monthly renewal 10/26/07, i watched my online banking an saw CCP make 2 pending transactions, they remained pending for 4-5 days, then suddenly were gone, and the charges were not deducted from my balance.
my fear is, i have not paid for my accounts and they will soon become deactivated. I want to say i paid with a Debit card (visa) and had funds in my checking account to cover the transactions.
somthing is going on with CCP's credit card processing.

This issue obviously extends to their character transfer system too as I'm finding it impossible to transfer a character due to 'Error not authorised' issues with known working credit cards. This is ridiculous, as others have said CCP is terrible when it comes to contacting them, do we not pay enough as it is to get some sort of telephone support that works?

I was having the same issue with not being able to use my CC to pay for my account; no matter what card i used or IP i used it from, the transaction would not authorize. talked to my bank to see if there was any issue there: nope. But after looking over my account details, i realized that my personal details (name, country, time zone etc) did not match my credit info; after updating this, the transaction went through! Can't say for sure if this fixed the problem or was just purely random....
