Whom is going to attack Triumvirate next? I don't think they can stand still but that they want some nice action instead. Further I believe that they won't backstab Razor or Morsus Mihi.
So I believe that they are going for Red Alliance as next huge challenge!
That would be only logical. Go to the next big enemy up the ladder and test your own skills against them. If you win, great! If you lose, so what? You still have your own regions, and you have gained lots more experience. What do you think?

What did you predict in the past correctly? Tell me one thing.
Read up my previous posts. I correctly predicted that D2 will fall (gave the reasons, but no one listened and I got yelled down at the forums). I predicted that BoB overextended themselves when they attacked 9-9. I predicted that RA/Goons will take BoB space. I said that YouWhat would fall against Tri unless they would fight harder. I correctly wrote that MC would retract from the current war. I didn't think that BoB would that easily give away most of their regions, I didn't predict their evacuation plan - which I think is not a good idea. So I guessed some development correctly (and wrote posts about it BEFORE it happened) and some things I didn't see comming. But that is no shame.
And now I think that Tri is going to fight RA in a bit. Read this post in 2-3 months and we will see if I was right or wrong. I gave some reasons why this would make sense and why this could be a reasonable development. Now give me YOUR reasons why this is not likely to happen or STFU.

I think that every top quality alliances tries to face the next challenge. To go for the top. To be one of the best.

You are more then welcome to post what you will for now. But players like your self are why a large chunk of this forum community is moving elsewhere. Good luck with your predictions. But until you can tell me the winning lotto numbers, you should keep your day job.

but RA isn't even further away than MC? RA is completely across the other side of eve
Tri doesn't have to prove themselves at all - the killboard says it all and recent and past events that tri has acomplished says everything
taking deklein when tri was still around 600 members vs'ing 5? other alliances (was around 3k+ of the enemy?) ,that alone should say something
what would they gain from fighting RA or any other alliance like that? can't take their space , too far away - Tri doesn't want more space i can almost guarantee it - they want targets which they still have in the area
stop trying to make tri look like a rogue alliance thats gonna take over eve - they wanna roam eve 
and if tri actually does take more space there is a tactical reason of defense or you ****ed off the wrong person

One thing is for certain. TRI would never attack BoB. They just won't, simple as that.
They know BoB is a superior alliance in all aspects, and they dont wanna loose respect. Thats what I think, although they would never admit it.
Even though BoB is maybe the closest target, who actually has the power to fight back.
Fact: If TRI were to attack BoB, then BoB would be destroyed. The whole of southern coalition going after them, razor and TRI also... Its just to much. They would never outlast that many.
No offense intended to anyone, just my view (which might be screwed up).

They went down south with rest of the north, got rocked by bob and withdrew from the war before any other alliance did.
then they were basically handed Deklein, and the fights they did get were against industrialists.
Then all those industrialists went and joined youwhat and TRI attacked them again.
and they refused to go into Mpire and fatal space because they never won.
I just dont see why they have a reputation for being good pvp'rs when they only fight carebear alliances.

But i would like to know if TRI actually sofar has fought an alliance that really gave them a fight?
Cause from my view(CAOD and Roumors) it seems like they have just steamrolled everything without anyone giving them any special challenge.
And i wonder if their is any alliance that could actually bring them the fight they seem to be looking for.

LOL yes we was given dek, those 5 alliances we fought for it were imaginary ones and all we realy did was strip mine the belts instead.

Triumverate is in a unique position; they have security at home due to their allies, but at the same time they're not the kind of alliance that likes to settle down; they can go to anywhere else in EVE and have a tremendously powerful roadtrip, and yet easily return home when they need to.
There are few other alliances in EVE with the sort of security through allies, PvP skill, and mobility that Triumvirate has, and it'll be very interesting to see what they do next

You forgot that we are still relatively new at this whole "mass invasion" thing that people seem to associate us with, and are still testing the water.
Also, does such a target exist for us? One that could match our needs for PVP and fighting, rather than mass blobs, lag and POS warfare? One that fights independently and wouldn't call in their mass amounts of friendly alliances? We're not stupid, we're not going to pick a fight where we'd be so outnumbered we wouldn't stand a chance in hell of loading let alone winning.

Surprisingly refreshing i actually got a straight answer.
Unfortunately your alliance, and this is something i noticed while in the alliance, seems to want to fight alliance warfare like its 03/04. If your waiting to get a fight that is pos/blob/ally free then your gonna be waiting a long time.
The only alliance that i can even think of somewhat along your lines would be smash/rk, but they have been known to drop 35+ lrg towers in a single night.
And to clarify, i never said you guys were 'crap'. I only said that there is nothing to backup the huge rep that the community hold you guys at.

I dont think our reputation is based on or spawned from our conquest of territory. The reputation TRI has, was formed from fight, after fight, after fight. 99% of those fights having no meaning what so ever other than enjoyment.
We have fought nearly every major alliance in eve in some form or another, and have had alot of success against many of them. TRI itself back in the day when it was very small did alot for an alliance of its size, some remember that very well.
Without a doubt i think we have an amazing reputation, one that is probably impossible to live up to, but alot of PvP and blown up ships forged this reputation, not just our conquest of space.
But all in all while we enjoy compliments, our alliance is not dictated by "how will this effect our reputation?". If people dont like what we do when we do it, then why do we care

A step up from Youwhat would be CVA(more like a flight of stairs but still). Then you'd consider Smashkill and allies, then RZR/MM and allies(arguably similar Pacts but still), then then GBC, then RSF. It's ******** to suggest that Tri would attack RA since that would mean attacking RSF and they specifically and repeatedly said that they want to stay out of blob wars.
The only remotely logical invasion would be against Smashkill's allies in the drones and even that is going very close to node-killing blob fights.
Of course this is all ignoring the simple answer: Tri can just roam around pvping and ignore pos and other stuff. But, hey, don't let me bring common sense into your CAOD.
edit. Personally I remember Tri from before(during?) the ASCN war. They dropped a POS somewhere in the north, assembled their full fleet of 30-40 players and held it against hundreds of D2 and friends for several hours. Nothing they've done in terms of territory taking is as impressive imo.

My reply was a touch ironic - hinting that if we were really as crap as you say we are then maybe we should fight you next.
And we've discussed this at length on SHC, the fact that when we went to attack 1) deklein and 2) YouWhat we were expecting more of a fight than what we got. You forgot that we are still relatively new at this whole "mass invasion" thing that people seem to associate us with, and are still testing the water.
Also, does such a target exist for us? One that could match our needs for PVP and fighting, rather than mass blobs, lag and POS warfare? One that fights independently and wouldn't call in their mass amounts of friendly alliances? We're not stupid, we're not going to pick a fight where we'd be so outnumbered we wouldn't stand a chance in hell of loading let alone winning.
So you see, you're preaching to the choir here, we'd like that target on a platter, we may not be as good as some people make us out to be but that's the problem with being the so called "flavour of the month", we have a long way to fall. But something that I am sure of is that we've come a hell of a long way since we were ganking in ec-, and as long as we're having a blast doing what we do, I'm not sure we care whether people think we're awesome or ****e.
Surprisingly refreshing i actually got a straight answer.
Unfortunately your alliance, and this is something i noticed while in the alliance, seems to want to fight alliance warfare like its 03/04. If your waiting to get a fight that is pos/blob/ally free then your gonna be waiting a long time.
The only alliance that i can even think of somewhat along your lines would be smash/rk, but they have been known to drop 35+ lrg towers in a single night.
And to clarify, i never said you guys were 'crap'. I only said that there is nothing to backup the huge rep that the community hold you guys at.
Give me a break. TRI aren't overrated - who's overrating them? They're pretty good, and more fun to fight than most, that's not saying anything inaccurate. Sure, Deklein folded pretty fast (Hi o/) but they did a good job and presented a unified front. After such a long time where the alliances were divided into the 'We hate you' and the 'We hate you more' camps, it's worth mentioning that there are good, newer alliances out there (or old alliances evolving) that are making an impact and not just NAP'ing everyone in sight.

Go fight against them for a while. I have no problem with saying that collectively and on average, Tri members are very good PvPers. You won't find many alliances with a higher skill level. A year ago, they were hit-and-run gankers; now they're a whole different deal.

Question of perspective, our targets were the targets that we living in the areas we wanted. Whether or not they were good, its irrelevant.

Our targets did have a clue, they werent useless, if you can hold space as big as Deklien, I am sure the internal people in them alliances had confidence they could hold it. Also refer to what I said on your first question.

They attacked and defeated YouWhat. Say what you want about how quickly they went down, but I don't think anyone would have predicted that before the fight started. You might have assumed TRI would win eventually, but not that quickly. YW was a large power, lots of stations, lots of capitals and Sovereignty 4 in at least one constellation. YW was how much larger that TRI?
TRI can't help it if they attack entities their own size or larger and they fold like wet paper bags. They are just exposing these entities for what they are--- non-space-holding.
Personally, I don't fault them for fighting what gets put in front of them. They are not responsible for the fight others choose to give them. All they can do is bring their "A" game and hope their targets do the same.
The mechanics and commitment (both industrial and military) needed to hold 0.0 space has changed a great deal in the past year. More and more, space-holding entities are finding out that this commitment is more than they want to make. I think for a lot of people, it becomes a question of "why go broke when we can withdraw and pop up somewhere else?" This is especially true if one doesn't have a very strong esprit d'corps within one's alliance and isn't particularly attached to or have much history in the region in which one happens to reside.

Watching YW engage in e-honor fleet fights and losing horrendously, acknowledge their only chance against Tri was a Pos war and fail/chicken out of that, then to sulk off to empire was pretty entertaining for most goons.
I'm glad they took the normal approach.

What did you predict in the past correctly? Tell me one thing.
Read up my previous posts. I correctly predicted that D2 will fall (gave the reasons, but no one listened and I got yelled down at the forums). I predicted that BoB overextended themselves when they attacked 9-9. I predicted that RA/Goons will take BoB space. I said that YouWhat would fall against Tri unless they would fight harder. I correctly wrote that MC would retract from the current war. I didn't think that BoB would that easily give away most of their regions, I didn't predict their evacuation plan - which I think is not a good idea. So I guessed some development correctly (and wrote posts about it BEFORE it happened) and some things I didn't see comming. But that is no shame.
And now I think that Tri is going to fight RA in a bit. Read this post in 2-3 months and we will see if I was right or wrong. I gave some reasons why this would make sense and why this could be a reasonable development. Now give me YOUR reasons why this is not likely to happen or STFU.
TRI's got alot of X IRON guys, or others that were aligned with G waay back when. Most of us have a healthy revulsion to BoB, and even the appearance of aligning with them (by fighting RA) would be pretty smelly to us. But, who knows, winds how they be.

I believe that the OP here misunderstands tri as a lot of people in game do.
Triumvirate is not a normal alliance, in that they are loosely bound group of pvp corporations. They work together well under war time conditions but most of the time the corporations themselves do their own thing. Many corps do not even live in Deklein and can be found in Fountain, Curse, Venal, and many other places around the map.
I dont see the alliance of Triumvirate as more as a mutual NAP between pvp corps, that when needed can get thing done together since they have agreeded upon central leadership inside the alliance. The corporations do what they want, when they want...and as far as triumvirate having pets goes, they sell people space them set them to neutral (since they want targets). Theres nothing more to understand than pvp, pvp, and pvp.
From fighting against them and with them under northern assaults, they seem to set temporary naps if its believed they can get an "epic" fight out of it (such examples as a week or so in BKG and the assault on Sparta.) However after helping you they will turn around and kill you.

I believe that the OP here misunderstands tri as a lot of people in game do.
Triumvirate is not a normal alliance, in that they are loosely bound group of pvp corporations. They work together well under war time conditions but most of the time the corporations themselves do their own thing. Many corps do not even live in Deklein and can be found in Fountain, Curse, Venal, and many other places around the map.
I dont see the alliance of Triumvirate as more as a mutual NAP between pvp corps, that when needed can get thing done together since they have agreeded upon central leadership inside the alliance. The corporations do what they want, when they want...and as far as triumvirate having pets goes, they sell people space them set them to neutral (since they want targets). Theres nothing more to understand than pvp, pvp, and pvp.
From fighting against them and with them under northern assaults, they seem to set temporary naps if its believed they can get an "epic" fight out of it (such examples as a week or so in BKG and the assault on Sparta.) However after helping you they will turn around and kill you.
You sound like you know what your talking about, but you really dont.

Triumvirate installed FREGE in Cloud Ring, so they won't be going through them. Even if they hadn't FREGE isn't the kind of alliance that you need to "go through."
As for Scalar Whatchamacalits...please, let's be realistic here. They have a POS or two in Pure Blind, end of story.
My predicition for what TRI will do next is get rich(er) from moon mining ( Dek is one of the best moon mining regions in the game ), maybe build some motherships or a titan, and pvp where they can. Like Brunswick said, its not all about POS wars. In fact POS wars are sort of boring and a pain in the ass to coordinate.

I ran 15 jumps blind yesterday just to lose you guys solo...as I missed the proper destination...jumped into one system with 18 of you...and no station....thought I was going to get asked politely to disembark from my new ship....fortunately the party was on another gate...

In my defense Ive got like 150 kills in my Vaga for every 1 I got in a sleipnir...wait a minute that doesnt help at all....

Problem is that when you start moving 50+ jumps to get to drone regions and bring not-nanoed command ship you can be pretty sure that you will be slowing everyone down. And in case of "i need to log off earlier" way back home solo in slowboat isnt as pleasant as in nanoship.

Doubt it if you look at who they ahve deced they are the supposed "neutral" entuities in the war, if they take space from them maybe tri then plan to assault bob with the rest of the coalition or just using there own fleets (as tri really dont like fleets of 500 or more)

I have nothing but respect for Inzi and most of the Tri pilots. But being a little neurotic on my part due to timing. How much of a factor did all the new Tri pilots from allied BoB corps and alliances have in the decision of CVA as a target?
It can be said that CVA was attacked because Tri did not want to be part of the war. But with BoB being forced to go head to head again with Ragoon due to the Delve / Period Base Invasion. This does have an effect on IAC taking back Catch due to their alliance with CVA.

Perhaps TRI sees this as the next challenge in their evolution as a fighting force. YouWhat and the rest of the leftover pet garbage were rabble, while CVA has a reputation of being more formidible than might appear. I highly doubt they're going to let themselves be deprived of their space, assuming that TRI is going to try and take space rather than just pew for pew's sake.

It would not suprise me if CVA, Paxton, Sylph, and Severance sent a force up North and shot up station services and planted some towers and snooker an outpost or 2 away from Tri just for the "lulz" of it, since the majority of them are in Providence would be quite easy to "take" some space from them up north before they knew what was going on.
Of course it would be strictly for the "lulz" factor as I dont think CVA and Co would want Northern property anyway.

As I hinted upon earlier in this thread, a nice fight went down yesterday between TRI and Curapaxylpheverance... (CVA, Paxton, Sylph and Severance) (lol.. anyone know a good name for this (un)holy alliance?). I havent seen any battlereports, but the first reactions on vent where pointing towards a victory on Sylphatores Paxeveres's side... (supposedly +/- 100 kills, dont shoot me if the numbers are off..)
Most of us (the provi's) are looking forward to some good pew pew! However I must say I was kinda disappointed to see local smack from Tri, for some reason outsiders think that we cant fight and are carebears...
Time and again they get proven wrong. What they don't realize is that Providence is under constant attack by invaders like RA and AAA and that most people actively participate to remove these people forcefully.
Anyway, we will see what happens, I foremost hope for nice smackfree fights, with not all too much lag. And may the biggest intergallactic internet spaceship geeks win!
Ps. For Kaik and Emperor!

This first period is a difficult one, getting used to the area, enemies and tactics. The obvious main problem being cyno jammers and a very well set up net of jump bridges so you can lay traps effectively.
These factors work well for the defender, but over the next week operations will increase, our members will adjust.
Hats off to CVA though, you are a well organised alliance, but the true test is yet to come.

I would like to assure you that apart from one or two who may think different, Tri on a whole have an incredible amount of respect for your guys and your abillity on the battlefield. We would not travel to the other end of the map to have an opponent we can walk over. You was seen as a perfect challenge and as an alliance (or coalition of alliances) you are renowned for bringing it.
I am happy too see it being a tricky challenge. Keeps us on our toes. I would like to think our abillities will come into their own other the next few weeks though. If not hell at least we are getting epic fights (lets just hope this lag goes).
Good fights so far, very much looking forward to the next batch of scrappages!

i wasnt there but boards show roughly 40/50 ships/pods altogether destroyed on each side,not any where nere 100 as TRI only brought 75ish to the fight that would be somewhat diffucult ^^ not shooting you,just laying it out there

Suffice to say we have been having fun and I am sure Triumvirate are having fun too
Triumvirate's Southern Campaign can be viewed here. Their KB is pretty accurate. Just the occasional loss missing but nothing to whine about especially when our KB is private

As you can see they have a lot of kills down South - including for some reason - an IAC Dread which undocked into 2 Nyxes and 50 assorted other Capitals in Misaba yesterday - and then aggressed of its own accord.
As you can see from Triumvirate killboard at the moment CVA itself is 'up' on damage done... however this is primarily because we are local and adept at avoiding the +100 man roaming nano gangs and catching the lonely stragglers and small gangs during Tri's quieter periods...
Tri vs CVA atm is:
94 (CVA) Ships killed (3253.41M ISK) 137 (Tri) Ships lost (7841.26M ISK) - according to Tri KB
and
143 (TRI) Ships killed (8450.53M ISK) 97 (CVA) Ships lost (3396.58M ISK) - according to CVA killboard
...so the two KBs pretty much corroborate each other.
On a tactical level this has been the biggest head to head so far:

In the meanwhile an Amarrian Fleet departed to the unholy cold north to bring light to the land of the midnight sun. We launch a devastating attack on TRI Home system managing to put the shields of one station service at 99%!!! All the ships thrown at us by TRI faced a assured death (1 crow and 1 Vulture) even if the last ship managed to tank the 50 Amarrian war vessels for about 1 minute!!!
All the objectives of Operation "Light in the North" were achieved and we burned the engines till Providence. The fact that TRI was attacking our POS's in Providence with a fleet of 40 Caps had nothing to do with it!!!!

Heh..genius choice by my friends in TRI. I think they have made a very fun decision here and I expect they'll get a pretty good fight out of our RPer bretheren ( ) CVA (and friends).
This is a group of people tied to their region and a set of ideals and I just don't see them pulling up stakes on a whim just because war makes life too hard.

The real reason for this post however is I've been taken back by the refreshing nature of reading a CAOD thread (now) with 2 sides of a war and posting without the intense rivalry spilling over into 'craptalk'! (I'm patenting that word - 1 Isk fee each usage tx)
I'm tempted to start a new CAOD post about it but we all know what'd happen there!

I am having fun and seeing a lot of mega-blob fights. Have taken some losses, but got some kills also. Ships are going "POP!" like popcorn on both sides here  Providence. The lag to defend CVA's outpost was horrible. My screen updated only once every 10+ seconds when our Providence coalition blob (CVA, Paxton, Severence, Sylph, and many others) met Triumvirate's blob. It was easily 100+ vs 100+ blob on blob, lag infested action. Its also been an interesting experience to coordinate the Providence coalition's intel sharing, vent coms, and pvp fleet operations.

Tri like mid-sized nano-gangs and their allergy to lagfests is well documented, they will not go anywhere near RA/goons IMO.
What they really need is a 5000 man passive alliance like ASCN was nearby to go farm but they dont really exist anymore.

We do x2. But going in 100+ BS for a good ol' slug fest with a fair load rate is also good fun if things hold up decently.
We would never run from that, potential welp day or not.
And I think we would much rather do the 100+ BS semi-lag death over and over than fight a passive alliance imho.
Whats the fun in that, equal skills, people and tactics are the most fun isnt it?
And its also what I think is the best way to measure the better opponent as well as evolving our own tactics.
