When I was in Canada, everybody was obsessed with the German word "kaputt" (broken) and used it heavily at every occasion. But that was about 20 years ago, not sure if this was only a short lived RL meme... Just think of how bad an average post by me is, and then realize half of them are even worse

I only know of it through my nan. As for kaputt, I've heard it used rarely. I think it's another word we stole from other languages. The english language hides in alleyways with a 2x4, where it waits for other languages to pass by. It then beats them with the 2x4 and empties their pockets of loose vocabulary.
